To make the skeleton fight in Jason they first made a choreography which the actors practiced again and again against real people and recorded as reference for the animation (pic related), but for the actual fight in the movie they had to repeat the choreography, but this time just fighting air, so that the skeletons could be added after. Pretty cool.
