spooky scary movies :)
>wake up >everything's spookyBros... are we back?
Apu without Hank Azaria voicing him isn't really Apu.Same goes for Dr. Nick.
>>224036849Very underrated Halloween gem.
>>224036900>Apu next to a mountain of toilet paper
Does it still hold up? I'll probably never see it again because I haven't had Netflix in years and won't in the future, but I remember this being pretty good and making a big slash when it came out, even though people don't mention it much now.
>>224036944It'll be a cult classic in like 40 years or so
>>224036892>wake upAs for me, I gotta get some sleep.Goodnight, /hor/
>>224036944it's shitty, boring kind of shitty
It's finally here, bros… what special kino did you save for tonight? For me, it's a special double-feature with local horror maestro Buddy Cooper
Have any horror movies taken place on a plane?

>>224037056Happy Halloween, anon
Are any of the sequels good? The first one was fine but most of my enjoyment came from the sexy mom. I'm also a soured about the fact that both daughter actresses died horribly.

The evil dead trilogy is probably comprised of the greatest movies of all time
>>224037142texas chainsaw could have come close to it if the third movie was good
>>224037159Is it good or bad if Sam visits you on Halloween?
>>224037176Depends on if you are following the traditions
>>224037174I am constantly bewildered by the fact that most people associate TCM series with the edgy dogshit from the 00s instead the original two films.
>>224037030Hopefully my friends will finally let me show them Evil Dead 2 and/or Halloween 3. Happy Halloween, bros.>>224037036Pretty much all of Victor Crowley
>>224037310good luck, are they used to watch older movies, you could get a delusion
after watching the 2026 series which was surprisingly good, i've been watching all the carrie's one after the other.>carrie 1976: more campy and corny than i expected. travolta is ass. spacek is good. most of the movie is bad until the prom scene where it all comes together and is quite frightening.>carrie 2002: thought this would suck but wasn't that bad. some bad CGI which somehow makes it more strange. the lead is HOT AF. she grew up in NY I believe and I reckon she was a proto-hipster. the way she dresses and her unusual edgy look.watching carrie 2013 tomorrow
>>224037273they are more palatable, most people know about the original but not many have bothered with it since it is from the 70s, they stick to the recent stuff that it's easier to watch. Same goes for dawn of the dead
>>224036905Gonna check this out tonight.
happy halloweenie

>>224037174Fuck you, 1990 was very good.A immeasurable return to form after 2.
>>224037534(OTHER SLASHERS)> Scream 8 Onward - Sydney does not become a killer & is not killed off unless it's a respectful successful heroic sacrifice. >>224037534>>224037590(OTHER HORROR)> We get a period piece Conjuring spin off about the samurai armor in the Warren's collection, maybe set during the occupation of Japan?> We get some more horror & slasher films set near the sea/on ships, make use of moody harbors, docks & foggy nights. A undead Sea Captain slasher would be cool.> We get further mostly serious toned theatrically released killer animal films like The Shallows & Crawl. Ideally ones with oversized Scorpions and Octopuses. Remake of Tentacles (1977)?> Crawl 2 is on par with the first.> Antje Traue is cast as The Bride of Frankenstein, if that film in Universal's Dark Universe moves forward.> If the Dark Universe moves forward, Dracula Untold is reinstated into canon. I want more of Luke Evan's take on the character.> More Pumpkinhead movies.> Cabin in the Woods anthology series with each episode (maybe every 2 episodes) being a different cast facing a different monster. Some arcs will focus on the folks in the Cabin & some will focus on the staff in the base dealing with capturing monsters out in the wild or having to deal with them getting loose.> A B&W tribute movie to 1950s monster movies is that actually is fairly serious & well budgeted. Builds up mystery & suspense for the 1st 3rd.> Galaxy of Terror prequel about Captain Trantor surviving the massacre of the Hesperus crew by aliens 25 years before.

>>224038814two 19 year old girls ran across the street calling my name yesterday..knew them from work the year before.should I have invited them to a horror cinema halloween special?
Halloween plans are for attention-starved normies who need costumes and human affection to feel alive. I will be spending the evening in my natural habitat: hunched over a glowing screen, surrounded by crusty cups and the faint smell of something that may once have been a $14 sandwich. /tv/ is my kingdom. Stop laughing.
>>224038952If it was for a party yes, for watching movies only with you alone at home after 1 year? fat chance
I watched the original suspiria and felt like I should be high or drunk for this because the plot made sense but it was also nonsensical to the point where I wasn't sure if I was enjoying it outside of the visuals.
>Adrienne King revealed in an interview to Screenrant that she didn't know that Alice was going to die until she arrived on the set she stated: "I actually said to them that I would do whatever they needed for the sequel, I was theirs, and I was very happy - and I never got a script. Didn't even get a script. Then there was a car that picked me up, and little did I know, but I get up there and the crew's almost gone. Everybody had gone. I didn't realize, but they had actually filmed the movie already."woah that's sad
Going to watch it for the first time. Theatrical or Director's cut?
>>224039008I would say Directors cut but only if your aware some of the restored footage is quite poor quality. At least on the version I saw. It doesn't really feel like watching a finished movie.
>>224038976no, I mean a real cinema. I know a good one that'll have halloween specials on, it regularly plays original film reels of old films etc.maybe I should go for a walk today based. on the 1 in perhaps 10,000 chance that I'll see them, or 1 in 1,000 chance I'll bump into others I've known and invite them.then find all the tickets are sold out
>>224038814>Lauren-Marie Taylor had a legitimate crush on her on-screen boyfriend, Tom McBride, but was unaware at the time that he was gay.holy kwab
>>224038959Costumes are cool though. I love dressing up. My favorite costume is Edgar from Men in Black. Not a lot of people get it but I do a fairly good impression and when kids come trick or treating I give them fake roaches mixed with the candy and is always a riot.
>>224039008That's the poster for The Exorcist 3, is there a directors cut of 3? Or are you actually watching the first one? If you're watching the first one, I'd say watch the directors cut. Apparently the critical consensus is that the theatrical cut is better, but I think they're wrong.
>>224039050last I checked she has aged very gracefully, I would bang both her and the chick named voorhees from part 5
>>224039007filming stuff is odd. the ones making it all are only focused on finishing the whole and the elements that make it up mostly become lost in the midst of it.i've only be an extra, and we were mostly just living furniture, while each of us personally wanted to be there on certain days for certain scenes or actors/actresses, the reality was them taking human props out of storage for days depending on what they wanted.for higher level actors, I'd guess it is better but still the director/producer will just be thinking about the film and the personal wishes of the actor will be negligible. I think most of them just learn to deal with it and not take it personally otherwise it'd destroy your self esteem with doubt
>>224039079I dressed up as a ghoul from they live and no one got it and several people were disturbed by it.that was two years ago, last year I did nothing, this year - less
>>224038939It's damn good anon. Hope you enjoy.
I watched Never After Dark last night and it was absolutely fantastic. It's directed and written by an American guy so it doesn't have the usual weird shit you get with Japanese movies, it's just a super solid ghost story.
>>224039106I stopped acting because I all the roles I was getting were creepy guys but not the menacing type, it was more like the roles david dastmalchian gets. Of course these were all amateur or semipro at best so I wasn't making much money, I wouldn't mind if I was famous, but it did affect my self esteem because I don't like thinking that's how people see me just by looking at my headshot. Im not gonna say acting is as tough as working construction but I have empathy for them because it takes a toll on you're mental health
>>224039046No. They won't appreciate it. Don't waste your time or money.

>>224040068no, it happens once every year or so, I'll bump into some girls I met before. so the odds are more like one in 500 or one in 800 - I just need to improve those odds by wearing brighter colour clothing, perhaps neon, and shirts with my name written on them so they can be sure it's me.
>>224040122Some like the sort of 'rogue alpha-ness' of a serial killer. Elliot Rodger is a rogue beta, and there is simply nothing less attractive than that.

>>224040180There's this dude called Toulon who has magic puppets he made for his lame-ass puppet shows until he gets killed by the Nazi's for being a magical heeb. Then in present day some paranormal investigators go to the hotel he was murdered at for a seance or some shit and all puppets come back to life the kill them. There's more too it than that but I've never liked Puppet Master so I've usually tuned out about halfway through.

>>224040248didn't remember it was juden-themed. was always pretty lame, apart from the slug spitting girl doll would be my wife in real life.doll-man is on the same level, think they had a crossover. some horror is such low standard it is awful, but somehow has a following.ghoulies is half a step up, critters is another step up - maybe on par with hellraiser.Friday the thirteenth is between those two layers and still pretty lame and low budget.nightmare on elm street is another rung or two above those, and after that it starts being higher budget and better quality, but somehow often losing any actual scare or memorable factor.near the bottom of the pile, only just above absolute forgotten rubbish, is corny crap like phantasm, which isn't even horror and just has a guy in a suit saying "BoooooooooOOOOY" a few dozen times. yet is still somehow seen as classic horror by crap-horror fans.I'd put Dagon above phantasm, and that was 5/10.
Amy Sedaris rabbit hole apparently. A CUTE
>>224040348You midwest uneducated mid wit
>>224040348that particular grammatical error was stereotypicallly synonymous with jeets 40 years ago, in fact even in the 60s.look at old media with a head bobbler in it whether played by a man in shoe polish or not - they are using this form of the verb when it is not being appropriate sahib, the same is going for arabs and little middle eastern slave boys. it is being very obvious when they are using it incorrectly all the time.the exception is if you are being german and it is being that you are not caring to be learning English properly beyond primary school sahib.
>>224040368Maybe it was the sequel that revealed that? But there's no other reason for a 1930's German hit squad to kill a random dude.
Watched the first episode of masters of horror. Really enjoyed it, surprisingly haven't heard of the show before. I love anthologies, any episodes a must watch or should I just start watching a few in order?
Hello /Hor/ Happy Halloween to you all I hope you have a wonderful day.

>>224040434no idea, I saw them decades ago. given how jewed most films are, I expect your memory of it is entirely correct.in films back then, they did also shoot everyone for no reason, see highlander.and people also shot all ww2 Germans for no reason, armed or otherwise. diseased crap

Jennifer will give you a boner.a lot of it was self-fellating directors.if you want some old-school horror anthology from England, try Hammer House of Horror series, there are of course 13 episodes. some good episodes, atmospheric, some a bit lame. mixed bag also.does show you some of what England looked like in the early 80s before it was ruined as it was filmed on locations a lot. episode with Vincent price, another briefly has pierce Brosnan.

>>224040173the point is you should be thinking like "maybe if i wear my attraction sign some girls might notice me when I'm having a random walk in the neighborhood". you had the instinct to talk to them when you first saw them. you need to cultivate the instinct to be outgoing and social, and not cultivate the one that says "maybe if i just keep waiting something good will happen".
