I'm at season 5 and i can't fathom how quickly the writing deteriorated after season 3. Major plot points just wrapped up with a shit icing with a cherry on top. Sokar the literal Satan dies in 2 episodes. Cronos died like a bitch, Daniel's wife son who's supposed to be the key to winning the war just another dropped plotline. Should i even keep watching?
Idk, I thought season 5 was good. It only jumps the shark in season 6, and then it gradually gets worse. If you already don't like it, then I'd say stop watching it.

Quality wanes once MacGyver started phoning it in when the show moved to Sci-Fi then there's a quality void when the replicators come onscreen followed by Jaffa politics. Things started moving again with the Ori stuff but it gets stale fast with Baal as the highlight of the last seasons. I'd say start Atlantis and hold off on SG 1 for now and see if you still want to continue. Maybe watch 200 and be done with it.

Wrap up everything" So they wrap everything up and then after the season ends "By the way, we did gangbusters, so we need more!" Thats why the show has a wrap-up every 2 seasons.
