I'm still super mad that she called him "JL". Mad to the point that I want to scream racial expletives. But i won't since my gf is part black.

I fucking despise this character and the actress. They ditched the rest of the cast in Picard season 3 but still kept this fucking bitch for some fucking reason.

TNG already had its token (disabled) black guy, for some reason they were desperate to insert a token black female into the ensemble.
Discovery revolved entirely around a Mary Sue black female at the expense of the rest of the cast of characters (except maybe Saru).
Lower Decks was about a black girl and her black captain mother.
Strange New Worlds had a disproportionate share of Uhura glazing episodes compared to the other characters.

It's like everyone over at Paramount/CBS got a memo that they'd be fired if she-boons didn't get into Star Trek and they over compensated as a result.

nobody in Star Trek could pronounce "Jean-Luc Picard" correctly anyway, not even Pat Stewart himself.

>Uhura glazing

I was briefly intrigued, but I don't think you mean the kind of glazing I'm interested in.

Fuck you Q got it right and you know it.

>>224035287
which part of your gf is black?

a fake french accent every time they said his name would sound so painfully cringe I'm glad they never attempted it
>>
>>224035476
nah, none of the actor knows how to pronounce the "u" correctly and that's a dead giveaway at the first syllable.
even David Suchet who trained for years to pronounce a handful of specific French words slipped up from time to time because he never actually learned or practiced French.

I can get it for the other characters but a supposedly French native character should be able to pronounce his own name correctly.
also accents were supposed to be common and accepted in Star Trek, see Chekov and Scotty.

Michelle Hurd is so fucking hot!

>Strange New Worlds had a disproportionate share of Uhura glazing episodes compared to the other characters.
Well she is a original main Trek character.
And she was 5000 times more likable than the OP bitch or Discovery's lead.
