>>224034866I would have liked this story but a better director. Say what you want about JJ and his storytelling cliches, he can direct compelling scenes. Beyond was mediocre in this regard, the shots were flat and uninteresting. I'd like Gareth Edwards direct a hopecore Star Trek movie. I think if he's given a similar script as Beyond he can make something good
The sequel was going to be yet another time travel story. About Kirk going back in time to stop his father from dying, since Paramount needed to use Chris Hemsworth again,
