For such a beloved actor, he sure is in a lot of shitty/mediocre movies.
I feel like he should've had the same trajectory as De Niro or Nicholas Cage if he was a bit more eccentric. What happened?
>>
He's a murderer
>>
He'll take roles that he likes, but he'll also take roles in random crap just for the paycheck.

Natalie Woods last movie was with Walken. Brainstorm 1983’s backstory is a bit of a rabbithole in of itself, and had a deleted scene where Natalie Wood drowns in a boat accident involving Walken.

Brainstorm is an interesting film, Louise Fletcher (Nurse Ratched) is really cute when she smiles and plays a warm character.
Pretty sure there were strange connections with mind control and this film…

What even is THE Christopher Walken film? Deer Hunter? Normalfags will say Pulp Fiction but he was only on screen for like 5 minutes.
>>
>>224034461
He made three Prophecy movies, I think he just likes money.
Not saying he was bad in them, he hams it up in all of them, but doing three movies where one script is worse than the other, you really do it just because of the paycheck.
They couldn't even get the main actor for the sequel back and this guy is a lesser known name than Walken, cause the script was that bad.

The Prophecy trilogy, as bad as these films are, they are a showcase of Walkens acting and a character you can easily associate with him.

He killed Dominique Dunne didn’t he

I'd say The Dead Zone.

He has a lot of great supporting roles.

Personally I think he was just a reluctant witness. What’s your favorite Walken role? Boomers love him.
>>
>>224035103
Not the other guy, but I really enjoyed his comedic roles in SNL. The Continental and the pranksters one were amazing, but everyone just remembers the cowbell one.

Watched the whole thing, it’s quite dated but boomers love it. Comedy doesn’t generally have a good shelf life.
>>
Watch Suicide Kings. It's kino. I won't warn /tv/ about it anymore. If you want to miss out on true kino, I guess you weren't a true kinosseur after all.

So serious about “the craft” he triggered Robert Wagner; ultimately decimating Walken’s co-star/Wagner’s re-wife (divorced after walked-in on with their cabana boy), Natalie Wood off the planet.

Albeit, NM Wagner just happened to swagger newly destitute (while wifey was still cross-country filming/fucking w Walken) and recently charging jewelry for his side piece to Wood’s credit card(s)
>>
>>224035805
FYI: the lone statement Wagner needed to answer for, to homicide detectives (only after — initially proffering He hadn’t seen Wood or Walken prior to her drowning; And never recently argued with her — his own Skipper told the cops otherwise: they’d been arguing just prior to the accident), to clarify his initial bullshit statement (still before his lawyer got ahold of him, since Wagner never bothered to reach out to him — ONLY Lew Wasserman)…

>WAGNER: ‘yes I argued loudly; but not with Natalie, just Walken.’
>>DETECTIVE: ‘about what?’
>WAGNER: ‘About Natalie’s career, and her serious dedication to the craft, which I didn’t agree with’

Deadzone proved Walken could be a leading man but I like Batman as his best performance

People think of Cage as more of a leading man than Walken. Walken has had lead roles, but he's mostly seen as "memorable supporting role guy".
>>
>>224034461
Seems like one of those actors that is well liked but perfectly content doing b-movies/supporting roles, like Gerald Butler or James Cromwell.

Does he have his signature accent in this or does he try to stifle it? I like how he sounds in Click, he sounds boring in True Romance.
