I thought it was great, but what did I really think of it?

Never watched but David Ayer is a hack so it's probably him just doing his same old usual
>>
Why dont do any of these WWII movies when they have nazis play the Horst Wessel Lied?
>>
>>224029804
Why did the whole german army charge at one disabled tank?
>>
>>224029835

Sodomy is a sin.
>>
>>224029877
Because the tank started shooting at them. They also flanked it, they didn't just charge head-on into the meat grinder.
>>
>>224029835
Nix on the ass but are them pits available tho?

I DON'T CARE IF HE'S AN ADORABLE LAD CARRYING FROSTED PASTRIES, YOU MACHINE GUN HIM GODDAMIT!
>>
>>224029877
Because germans like to die and do explosive things. Lebenschraum
>>
>>224029804
brad pitt cant act
>>
The Sherman being bad is a meme based on one guy's book where he's just sperging about how the army didn't use his special interest tank instead
>>
>>224029804
This is when Ayer stopped being good. Man it's been a long time since Training Day.

I avoided watching this because modern day liberals ruined that haircut.
>>
>>224029804
Brad Pitt did good. Tank fight scenes were good.

Everything else sucked ass.

>You guys just murdered 50 of my fellow SS soldiers and shot at me but I'll just let you live under this tank

>Omg this tank is shooting at us quickly everyone charge in with small arms fire!

>Cholo tank driver

Overall 7/10 could have been better if they cut several scenes
>>
>>224033116
>You guys just murdered 50 of my fellow SS soldiers and shot at me but I'll just let you live under this tank
apparently this really happened lol
keep in mind that back in ww1 and 2 there was respect on the battlefield
>>
>>224033147
Things like Christmas eve truces and stuff definitely happened but there is no way in that situation that guy lives.
>>
>>224033197
how do you think the story got out? fury is based on a true story anon.
>>
>>224033241
It's literally not.
It definitely takes inspiration from real events. Like https://warfarehistorynetwork.com/article/tank-duel-on-christmas-eve/

But there is no recorded event where a guy spotted an American troop under a tank and then just fucked off lol
>>
I remember it being really disappointing.
It feels like a soulless private ryan. Like it tried to take it's beats just being more violent.
I rolled my eyes when just one dude survived instead of feeling whatever the director thought i would
>>
>>224029804
>never remind audiences that rape was so common in Allied occupied areas they had to have round the clock MP patrols near residential neighborhoods just to watch out for servicemen
>>
>>224033426
This, it was basically like Modern China, people just getting raped all the time
>>
>>224033116
>Tank fight scenes were good
They were pretty retarded. The fight against the Tiger was practically suicidal.
>>
>>224033426
didn't the punisher and the cholo try to rape that two women though?
>>
>>224029804
I like 75% of it. The rest is gay
>>
>>224033426
>Ah ha! you have systems in place to prevent crime! that means you are much worse occupiers then Fascists and Communists, who, I assume, were nothing but kind to civilians
>>
>>224033948
I mean when going against a superior tank the proper move was to charge, but granted that tiger wouldn't have survived a frontal shell so they absolutely did not need to charge.
>>
>>224032008
The Sherman was a good tank, it was just not in the same weight class as Tigers and Panthers.
And of course, the one in the movie was a late war variant with numerous upgrades that was relatively rare on the battlefield.

Ironic that people made fun of the MGs for being "lasers" as though tracers weren't common

Couple of battle scenes were fun

Was generally ridiculous

>Ironic that people made fun of the MGs for being "lasers" as though tracers weren't common
Because they had to be added in post, they lacked the license to use tracers during filming. So they looked fake, because they were.
>>
>>224034419
Everything in movies is fake!
>>
>>224034511
Not being allowed to use practicals makes it super fake
>>
>>224034419
>licensing for tracers
What?
>>
>>224034546
The location they were shooting the battle scenes in wouldn't grant them a permit for tracer simunition use in time for filming. Rather than wait to process the request for usage, which would have delayed shooting, they opted to add the tracer effects in post, which is why they look so much like Star Wars blaster bolts and not like actual tracer fire.
>>
>>224034659
Oh that makes sense
in America you just go to the hardware store and buy tracers.
>>
>>224029804
I liked it, not many modern movies that focus exclusively on the tank, there was that German movie last year or the year before but it was pretentious dogshit.
>>
>>224034679
anon can you read? It says they couldn't use them on location not that they couldn't buy them anywhere, even here you can't fire whatever you want anywhere you want and call it a day.
>>
>>224029804
you thought it was a good movie but it was also amusing how it caused a brief resurgence of tanker hair cuts which were then used as propaganda by jewish terrorists to rally their own morons in support of their agenda
>>
>>224034824
Yeah you can
>>
>>224034962
lemme have your adress so I can fire a few rounds for your pleasure
>>
>>224029804
you thought it was an excellent Vietnam movie set to WWII and that there should be no more brother wars
>>
>>224029804
I liked the costuming, and I liked how raggedy and beat-up they made the tank look, with shit strapped down all over it, especially compared to the sleek Tiger.

>You guys just murdered 50 of my fellow SS soldiers and shot at me but I'll just let you live under this tank

That was for thematic reasons. He disobeyed Brad Pitt's orders and refused to shoot the prisoner of war on moral grounds. Later, a German spared his life, and it was his karmic reward.
>>
>>224033387
>is no recorded event where a guy spotted an American troop under a tank and then just fucked off lol

Why would there be? Is it unreasonable to assume a geman conscript in the spring of 45 would just look the other way and avoid any enemy confrontation?
>>
I thought it showed the German soldiers as brave and heroic in their fight to save the world despite facing insurmountable odds
>>
>>224029877
>immobile Tank in a small field surrounded completely by forest cover to easily maneuver around
>field is inclined in a way where moving with a low profile would not immediately expose you to fire
>huge blind spot on one of the tanks sides due to a large barn
oh wait i know we should just charge straight at its machine guns by the hundreds with our rifles
