Brave grossed 47 million more domestically

That's beacuse Disney fucking cannibalized Pixar after buying it in 2006 and Pixar got stuck in sequel limbo for years afterwards

Brave is over-hated, if nothing else it's visually lovely and has some great music.
I do wish it'd kept the more serious tone that its first trailer had though

Final movie feels too jokey and irreverent.

i love the visual style but nah the music was bland and the story is bland and the themes are completely disjointed and unrelated to fucking anything. feels like whatever visual team was disconnected from the writing team til the last minute.

Wreck-It Ralph is such a better movie than Brave and it's not even close.
Brave is a mediocre forgettable movie, I'm surprised it didn't bomb.
I guess it was easy to just coasts off other Pixar successes for simply being there and not being a sequel.
