a huge guilty pleasure of mine is a good sports movie that's done with absolute sincerity, like pic related

Moneyball isn't a sports movie

Underappreciated? No. Missing in the current landscape of movies just like teen comedies? Absolutely. We're really missing the gap of lower budget feel good movies of all types. It's all artsy fartsy stuff, random animated film, and 300mil big budget and thats it.

it's a Kurt Russell masterclass and one of the first movies where I was actively paying attention to the good cinematography

>no shaolin soccer
>no mighty ducks
>no happy Gilmore
C'mon son.

2000's sportsslop had soul. Nowadays it's just soulless biopics nobody gives a shit about on the hollywood side. Bollywood sportsslop at least retains the 2000's soul but cranks it up too much. I think they might make a movie out of the knick's recent win.
