Who was in the wrong here?
The Devil.

The concept wasnt executed in a way they probbaly wanted too. Maybe ebcaue its too obvious from teh start that somethign actually supernatural is going on, but when the reveal happens....its lame. I cant quite put my finger on it.Black Swan a perfect example where it works. You have her manifested illusion combined with a real life "murder" and then even her death. It all flows together perfectly. But ehre its just Excorcist without any suprises.
>>224022703Always nice seeing actual opinions on here

>>224022703I feel like it almost worked, but what should've happened was the moment the demon freaks out should've all been in the hosts' head, and when we see the flashbacks he's having, he kills everyone on stage instead of physical supernatural shenanigans.

>It's on tubiI'm going to do a rewatch tomorrow. Anybody else doing the same?
Watched this last nigh : )Who was the guy in the skelly costume? and am I right that he cut a deal to give his wife cancer at The Grove so he can beat Johnny Carson?
>>224023408Looks like the set of Match Game or Tattletales
I saw this film in theatre and it just didn’t work with the inconsistent approach. It was supposed to be as an audience member, a taping of the show, but we get behind the scene footage in black and white. The scares were also just not enough to buy-in completely. I applaud the effort but it was a shitty Shudder flick.
>>224022703>>224022398Good concept, disappointing execution.Too many such cases. As if there were two writers working on the same thing and someone forced their scripts together.
>>224022398The worm scene is the only good part of this movie, and it doesn't even have anything to do with the main plot.
>>224023408its based on the mike douglas show
>>224024963The skeleton guy is the Devil. And although not that specific and explicitly said to him, his wife dying was definitely part of the price he had to pay. ’Tis why her spirit can’t rest.
>>224024963>and am I right that he cut a deal to give his wife cancer at The Grove so he can beat Johnny Carson? He cut a deal to get his show to be a huge success, he just didn't know that the cost would be everyone he loved and his freedom, typical "Be careful what you wish for" stuff.
They either needed to go full bore, shooting it exactly as a Late Night Talk Show or go more traditionalHaving one foot in, one foot out cut the knees out of it
