The first season was the best one. There was a gap between 1 and 2 and when it came back it just wasn't the same. Tried too hard to give the show "lore" instead of just relishing in the extreme violence and absurdiam of season 1. I never even ended up watching seasons 3 and 4 but IIRC seaaon 4 just ended abruptly half way through and it never came back.

Also the DVDs are all fucked up. Season 1 had episodes censored and out of order. 2 was uncensored but then 3 was censored again, wtf? And they didn't even bother putting 4 on DVD but [as] was cutting back hard on physical sales by that point anyway.
