>watch movie
>see all the literally impossible tricks they do
>think it's about a secret society of wizards who pose as stage magicians to conceal their magic by hiding in plain sight
>see interviews about the movie later
>they all talk about how every single trick in the movie can really be done in real life
>turns out the point of the movie is that they're actual normal human stage magicians
>never bother watching the sequel because that's fucking stupid

Not that I think it'll change your mind (probably the opposite), but the second and third films are a lot better in the sense that they actually do impressive, but plausible tricks and normally explain anything that seems impossible.
It's only the first film that has them literally using superpowers and claiming that it's just slight of hand and mirrors.
2 and 3 are by no means great films either. But they're very watchable. On the slop-o-meter: Better than Supergirl, worse than F1

>wot if stage magic could be used for crimes?

/tv/'s hateboner for India aside, this is a fun concept. reminds me of old pulp magazines/comics with stories where these newfangled 'hypnotists' could be out robbing our banks and kidnapping our women.

do these movies stick the landing? will my 90 IQ brain be entertained by "Ocean's Eleven with card tricks"?

Those comments gave me cancer. At least YouTube removed the original video.

i found them hilarious tbqh, i thought /tv/ was just exaggerating. i never thought i'd have fun scrolling through YouTube comments, but here we are.
>>
>>224019163
I still don't understand why they pass the cards off after they've already been patted down

>i never thought i'd have fun scrolling through YouTube comments
You're watching the wrong videos then

Jeets have a collective IQ of like 70. Once they hit age 12 their brains do not advance any farther. It's the exact reason why they're obsessed with stupid movie tropes and depictions of physics defying phenomenon on screen. It also explains their culture quite accurately.
>>
>>224019163
stupid movie for stupid people
>>
>/tv/ mocks jeets for being obsessed with this scene
>6 or 7 years pass by
>Jeets have long since moved on
>/tv/ is still obsessed with it

Congratiulations, you have become the very thing you mocked.

probably. tbqh i just hate the internet's shift to video, and YouTube comments were always notoriously bad. actual kids and shit like
>first!
>FAKE AND GAY
etc.

even 4chan has become obsessed with reposting TikToks (why?) and Twitter screenshots. but i can laugh at a stupid forum thread, just on a page somewhere. it just sucks that everyone has jumped ship to Reddit and Discord, those are the options now.
