Yeah yeah go back to /sp/ whatever but was The Last Dance the final legitimate sports documentary to ever be made? Now that we've hit the mid 20s and it's (more) obvious that intl soccer, basketball, football, etc. are all just big circuses churning out gambling odds, the idea of watching and taking seriously a team that sticks together through adversities and strives for a pinnacle is laughable. To have filmed the journey for a 6th ring and all was great but to compartmentalize the events into episodes and have the major figures who all but hate(d) each other commentate seems like lost documentary dna these days to point where I wouldn't have imagined someone getting the infamously elusive Jordan to open up how he does in current year. All in all it seems to be the logical endpoint for the 30 for 30 style people like Bill Simmons created but no one else has been able to replicate.
Yes, nothing compares.
This shit isn't a documentary. It's an advertisement.
>>224018595It's missing the Jerry Krause perspective. Of course that fat fuck is dead so Jordan was free to slander him however he wanted
>>224021576For what? They can't sell anything anymore and Jordan's already richer than god
>michael came from nothing>already had a shoe line before getting into the nba
I mostly like how it inadvertently shits Al over LeBron without him being mentioned lolol
