Movies where the main characters finds out or realizes that he's the bad guy?
Problem Child 2
>>224017017Falling Down
Schindler's list
>>224017067D-Fens only thinks he's the bad guy, but he wasn't.>>224017099Schindler never realises.
>>224017715D is definitely the bad guy. And the scardey cat loser cop with the postpartum wife is the hero. You are right about schinlder though. Schindler and the rest of the world apparently never realised he was a Nazi slaver.
>>224017776D is the hero because he is fighting against the slow rot of the world around him, and Prendergast isn't a scaredy cat at all, everyone tells him he should be scared and that on his last day he should be riding a desk, which he mostly goes along with because like D-Fens, the world has beaten him down, but Prendergast goes out and does his job anyway and finds the strength to start fighting back against the shitty world as well.
>>224017858Sperging out at a mcdonalds because you cant get breakfast meal anymore is not "fighting against the rot of society"Hes an entitled, delusional boomer who heard "no" the first time in his life.He makes literally everything worse in his neighborhood and his victims are people of his own class and his own family.Hes not fighting to reform or destroy the systemic issues ruining his life, hes just lashing out because hes butthurt.
>>224017885Admittedly him getting pissy about the breakfast thing did suck, but it wasn't even 11:35 when he ordered, and given how places like that used to operate, there would have still been plenty of breakfast food in the bay which they were probably throwing into big bags to toss in the dumpster out back (which it was as you see later in the scene), but he's totally correct about how awful the food was compared to the picture, if a company is going to advertise food looking a certain way, it should look like that when they give it to you.>He makes literally everything worse in his neighborhood and his victims are people of his own class and his own family. He was in L.A. the neighbourhood was already a shithole, brought down by the people he encounters, the asshole convenience store owner, the cholos who tried to rob him, the faggots on the golf course, sure there are better targets, but that's the whole point of the film, everyone is angry, nobody respects each other and the people who should be grateful (the foreigners), are instead belligerent, parasitic and violent. As for his family, his daughter loves him, but his wife divorced him over bullshit, she openly admits D-Fens never actually did anything, but the wife tries to separate him from his own child because he "has a temper" a wife is supposed to support a husband.
