Basically every change is for the worse.It feels like a silly, bastardized stage play version of the original Night of the Living Dead with forced dramatic monologues and heightened emotions.The realism of the original is completely lost, and everyone is now stupid.The music is cheap-sounding and terrible.It's very heavy-handed with some feminist reimagining of Barbara as Ellen Ripley/Sarah Connor, including a sequence where she literally starts wearing (the) pants.The movie's messages are very mixed, why are we supposed to hate the very poorly portrayed rural Southerners who are saving society and feel bad for the way they treat the zombies? They are literally just mindless, soulless, killer monsters.It looked nice though.
