Remember when Zoomers gassed up these two utterly mediocre and forgettable movies just because they were directed by other Zoomers and now mere months after they came out nobody talks about them?

Imagine being so culturally retarded that you feel the need to live vicariously through other people who's only similarity to you is an age bracket?

Utterly pathetic!!!
Put your snarky letterbox account away and have some self respect for god sake.

My favorite zoomer movie is inside OP’s underwear; a micro civilization on his undies where they navigate his semen release and farts.

>now mere months after they came out nobody talks about them?
not even true but how long is a movie supposed to be discussed, years?
>>
>>224014609
So forgettable you made a thread about them.
>>
>>224014609

People were talking about these movies for months and they still talk about them.
>>
>>224014711
Can classics even be made these days? Will zoomies/alphoids get nostalgic over these movies and show them to their kids?
>>
>>224015168
I believe feature length movies will eventually become 30 minutes long.
>>
>>224015168
Zoomer shit has been going on for about 10 years now. If there had been any we would have heard by now. Instead they still can't shut up about Harry Potter or Resident Evil which doesn't even belong to them.

30 minute Ai slop movies.
And the idea of "classics" wont exist (top 100 imdb movie lists etc.) because instead of everyone having watched the same movies, different groups will have their own defining films, series, games and online experiences.
>>
>>224015199
>Harry Potter or Resident Evil
yeah and those will probably keep getting rehashed every decade
>>
>>224015168
let's see how good Werwulf turns out to be
>>
>>224015191
feature length movies are now 6-8, 30 min episodes
>>
Name one good movie directed by a millenial. You can't.

The backrooms movie was terrible and shows just how astroturfed the hype was. The movie is so bad it may have destroyed Kane Pixel's career before it even started. That guy is just done, no one will ever care about anything he makes again.
Obsession does have hype and I see it talked about, but it's mostly just Nikki. The movie wouldn't really be much if they didn't cast that actress. It's like when mTHREEgan blew up because of a 2 second tiktok dance.

To be fair most movies & TV shows these days are forgettable. You really think people are going to be talking about YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING in 5 months let alone 5 years? Even DIGGER seems to be forgotten and it was all over /tv/ just a couple of weeks ago.

Zoomer horror is such a joke LMAO

Imagine being a millennial. Imagine being like 5 minutes away from the grave while you're part of the most sorry, unaccomplished, mentally stunted generation to have ever existed.
>>
>>224014609
I didn't like Obsession at all, I thought it was an average modern horror film that people use as a reason to start arguing online about "toxic relationships", but aside from that I really don't see all this genius that's supposed to emanate from it.

I have yet to see The Backrooms. As a big fan of the whole "liminal space" phenomenon pretty much from when it started I am very curious about it. I don't know how good it'll actually be, because I wasn't too enthusiastic about the web series by the same kid (how old, again?), I thought it was incredibly impressive on a technical level but very boring when it came to actually engage me, but we'll see....

May I ask why these two films always get paired up though? They have nothing in common other than being directed by young "YouTubers"

Also do the directors of these films have anything new coming up? I heard something about the director of Slopsession having a new one in the works, but what about Backrooms guy?

Megalopolis is a modern classic.
>>
>>224016014
There is going to be a Backrooms 2 by Kane Pixels as well.
>thought it was incredibly impressive on a technical level but very boring when it came to actually engage me
Did you watch his Found Footage #3 video? I think that is the closest to the feeling of the movie. The movie sadly doesnt have much exploration of the backrooms as I would have hoped. However, it is more structurally story driven than the 'hey lets explore the backrooms and see what happens' you usually see in the video series. The Backrooms is more of a setting and also a character, in a way, for the movie.
I really like the video series and like the movie. I think it gets unfairly dunked on here and other places. After rewatching it several times I noticed it has a lot of nuance and layers to what its trying to express that I missed when first watching it. There is good development and lessons to take away for both main characters in the story.
Anyways, at the very least it has cool liminal backroom visuals like the video series so I think you'll enjoy that.

>The movie sadly doesnt have much exploration of the backrooms as I would have hoped.
The moment the movie shows the "mindset" of the backrooms, you realize exploration actually has no real significance
That being said I liked the characters more than expected. Also it has good acting

>>224015168
Have you retarded narcissists ever considered that something doesn't need your approval or even acknowledgement for it to be considered a classic?
>>
>>224014609
I refuse to watch these movies. I simply don't care. I file it under the genre of discourse movies co-workers will go "omg you have to see this movie!" and then it's about some inane bullshit. There are way more important things going on in the world. No, liminal spaces are not le scary, and I am simply not entertaining gender war crap anymore.

>>224016393
Am roughly in the same boat.

You have no idea how accurate this description is

Wasn't It Follows (2014) the first zoomer horror cult classic?
>>
>>224015902
Obsession is dumb because any non-autist can see that Nikki is making fun of him when she asks if Bear likes her. A thing that women actually do irl if they are embarrassed that someone beneath them is interested in them. Also he had another woman who was above a 5 who wanted him so he had a consolation. Something that incels never have. That said Backrooms is unironcally pushing the medium forward with new concepts.
>>
>>224016176
Well, when you out it like that it sounds very interesting. I will most definitely give the fil a watch and maybe even re-visit the video series.
I didn't think it was bad per se, I just thought it was a little too slow and meandered a lot, but I can always re-evaluate it.
And I'll certainly watch the film as I have been anticipating it since it was announced back in 2022 or whenever it was
>>
>>224014609
yeah. I saw 30 minutes of Obsession and dropped it. Great she's obsessed with him, so what? Why would I want to watch that for 2+ hours?
>>
>>224014609
Backrooms was very mid. Obsessions is an instant classic. You are a retard and gay.
