"You can see everything" can be talking about Nathan and the filmmakers just as much as it can be about liz and her deceit.the main place they do this in the film is the bit about her asking him to swim. or she says "jump in with me" or something to that effect to nathan. we have to wait until literally the last scene to see that nathan did jump in with her despite his reluctancy. the metaphor is obvious.Amanda siegfried calls into question nathan's reliability as the narrator right before that swimming scene. it's more than a documentary.
