I saw the cover for this movie when i was 8 and literally thought it was about a guy who became half fly. Didnt even care to see it or read the title.

This movie is worth watching on MDMA. It really helps you appreciate just how well this movie captures the rhythms of a drug trip. MDMA is perfect because it follows a psychedelic escalation pattern but it doesn’t cloud your perception or focus and has adderall like qualities to help you enjoy films. Plus the emotional/sensational amplifications will make you love whatever you’re watching.

Anyway the movie captures everything - the excitement and strangeness of a come up; the total dissociation of the main high; the intense post-peak fear and panic; the depressive come down; and then the introspective after glow as the drugs wear off. The movies storyline matches it all.
