Entire prom thing was very underwhelming. All cutaways and bullshit. 2002 miniseries did it better
>>
dumbest remake ever made

>>224007732
it's a book you can finish in one afternoon, why the 8 hours long "movie" with a fucking sequel already confirmed?
>>
>>224008140
Turning it into Stephen King’s universe version of the X Men but with The Shine.

>>224007732
They still have proms? What even is that shit? You go to school to learn.

I expected a super violent massacre. She just electrocuted everyone and then walked away

The 2002 low budget made for tv movie was much more violent. She killed some of the students by crushing them with the basketball board. The scene was uninterrupted and it felt like it was going on forever. You could hear the students scream in agony. Modern directors just have no talent.
>>
Emmaline should have remained a Tyler Durden imaginary friend. That would show Carrie really lost her mind and then she would also be reponsible for the massacre
>>
I was a little offended by this. The intent of the original story was about trauma and ostracism and being too young to handle it. You should watch Carrie and feel shame about that one kid you excluded and bullied that killed himself or overdosed after high school. Maybe he was autistic, maybe he smelled bad because his family was too poor and fucked up for him to be able to do laundry, but your spoiled little ass didn't care because you had a chance to bully someone and you weren't the target.

Carrie should HURT
>>
Lmao its like they misssed the entire point of the story

that sounds promising

The 2002 movie did a few things better than the other adaptations (I've read the books and seen 1976 and 2013, but not the new miniseries):
>best casting of Carrie, the nickname "creepy Carrie" and bullying actually make sense
>the mother is subtle and threatening rather than over-the-top (which translates better on screen than the over-the-top attempts in 1976/2013)
>more accurate to muh book except the thing with Sue Snell at the end
>more realistic development of Carrie developing/discovering her powers
>Billy Nolan is more psychotic, as he's supposed to be

For me? It's Chloe's version

I unironically find prime Sissy Spacek like an order of magnitude more attractive than her. She's so generic compared to this elvish southern qt pie.

The prom scene was total ass. The show was ok until the last episode where turned into pure superhero bullshit. Reminded me pic related just switch out Evan’s character with Carrier
>>
>>224009821
thing is, the book isn't much better. in fact it's worse. she runs outside and lies on the grass before coming back. it's retarded.

i cant remember what happens in 1973 carrie but i think it does a much better job of the book or this show.

‘73 did great with what they could with practical FX.

Spacek will always be best Carrie
