>Just become a wagie, bro!
>Yes you may have godlike powers but you shouldn't use them to rule over mankind, you don't even need to be a superhero either, just be a normal dude
>DON'T THINK YOU'RE SPECIAL JUST BECAUSE YOU'VE GOT SUPERPOWERS
>BE NORMAL
>CONFORM
>DON'T STAND OUT

I HATE THIS MESSAGE

That's all Japanese media ever made.

I think the point of the show is that even if you are talented in one area, that doesn't mean you are better than everyone else; one aught to be kind to others and improve in areas where you are weak. this is why mob joins the lifting club, because he is physically weak. also the point isn't to be a wagie, mob is in highschool. getting a job in highschool is good for personal development as well.
>>
The foil monsters had better implied backstories than the human/hero characters
>>
I hated the "Where Are They Now?" epilogue
Just end it with Mob and Reigen walking into the sunset.

I hated it too. For how subversive the story was trying to be, a "it all worked perfectly for everybody" ending didn't sit right for me.

but it didn't, mob didn't get the girl, reigen is still a conman with iffy employees, but now they got together to celebrate his birthday. The point was to appreciate the small things in life and I think you missed it.

Being able to bend the fabric of space and time has nothing on being a company man and fantasizing about working you way to the top so people have to call you oshihirosuzuki-sama and stare at the ground when in your presence all while you're actually working 196 hours a week and smoking a pack of cigarettes a minute and planning how you'll get the skyscraper window open so you can jump out it. Using your powers of your own free will is very dishonorable

it's literally implied mob has a gf though

Also bringing back Dimple. His death scene loses all impact.

No it isn't are you fucking stupid?

The whole point was that he desperately wanted to be normal and liked, as far as I remember
He saw he was already extremely good at one thing and tried his best to expand his repertoire
It was more about him trying to expand his horizons than any allegory for nerfing yourself and being a normal person, the way I saw it.
Still a fantastic piece of media and one of the only japanimations I ever enjoyed

Realistically if you developed immense psychic power but were still ugly/plain in appearance how would women react?
>>
>>223995611
Literally every mainstream shonen giant is about some plucky retard becoming the supreme ruler of his universe.

>>223996118
They'd marry you for your power but they'd never love you
>>
>>223996118
You would probably get a harem if you used it to become a cult leader.

>thinking women can love anyone

For me, it's Dragon Ball.
>You have godlike powers, use them to get even stronger so you can fight other strong dudes with your bros.
