whedon shit had not yet outstayed its welcome, and the show itself didn't stick around long enough to get bad. Also it was well cast, castle presents the character in a charming way that would probably be unbearable with another actor, and similarly cobb would be shit if they had cast somebody other than baldwin. plus the women were all hot and covered several nerd fantasies, the quirky sex-positive engineer, the sultry milf escort and the bpd mute psycho who you could totally fix with your dick.
