Why didn't the men simply overpower the women and children and take the lifeboats for themselves?
>>
>>223992663
Better question. Why do all captains go down with their ships
>>
>>223992663
White people are just self destructing like that. All their wives went on to vote to end segregation and had black mixed babies
>>
They wanted to have gay sex without women yapping in their ears
>>
>>223992663
Because other men would have simped for them and then they all would have died.
>>
>>223992688
With great power comes great responsiblity. As I understand it it's not so much that you have to die with your ship but you should be the last one to flee it and be the one in charge of saving crew and passengers up until the very end
Stuff like honor and duty are inconceivable to us nowadays but we used to be a real country once
>>

>>
SAme reason why UNITED 93 retards didnt let the needful happen to the capital despite being dead in all scenarios
>>
>>223992663
Because they had honor, a concept foreign to our mixed race mutt society today.
Though to be fair dying for the women of today would also not be worth doing
>>
>>223992688
Better question. Why the hell would you get on a boat that openly admits they don't have enough lifeboats for everyone on board?
>>
>>223992713
Absolutely.
>>
>>223992722
Joey was the largest, Ross was tall
>>
>>223992739
They were very vocal about it being unsinkable too
>>
>>223992663
This movie is the reason I laugh out loud when they do that stupid ass explanation of life jackets on planes. Your "life" jacket ain't doing jack shit if you crash into the ocean. You're going to freeze to death in 15 minutes
>>
>>223992783
>Just give up and don't even make an attempt
No wonder you won't go far in life.
>>
>>223992739
Hold on to your seat, that is literally every large ship today and ever. They just don't have enough lifeboats. They have more liferafts for a few more people but it's by no means a secret or unique to the Titanic
>>
>>223992783
If your plane crashes into to the ocean you won't have to worry about life jackets because you will already be dead.
Movies glamorise it and make you think people survive plane crashes while in reality you ain't surviving that shit
Think about it. When's the last time you heard the words "survivors of the plane crash" outside of movies?
>>
>>223992783
Imagine being such a naive faggot you think you're going to ever be floating in water alive and be freezing to death after a fucking plane crash. lol

Do you believe in the Tooth Fairy too faggot?
>>
>>223992783
More like 2-5 hours, which can very well be enough for a rescue team to arrive.

Thanks Tyler Durden
>>
as fake as 9/11 boom bombs goes off not enough lifeboats lmao now all you naughty goys opposed to federal reserve can die
>>
>>223992739
Even if the Titanic had enough lifeboats for all of the passengers, it would've sank before they all could be deployed.
Not to mention all of the incidents and accidents that happened while the lifeboats were being deployed (capsizing before hitting the water, falling onto other lifeboats, being prematurely deployed, etc)
>>
>>223992858
>When's the last time you heard the words "survivors of the plane crash" outside of movies?
The Amazon prime plane crash in miami last month.
>>
>>223992895
>being prematurely deployed
I have the same problem
>>
>>223992858
The majority of aircraft accidents have zero fatalities.
>>
>>22399266
Serious answer:

Officers had guns

>>223992688
>>
>>223992936
That's because the majority of plane crashes happen on runways due to minor but critical malfunctions.
Remove them from the equation and the fatalities are practically 100%
>>
>>223992739
>average person barely had a 6th grade education if at all
>y dey not smart lurk mee
>>
>>223992688
If everyone is off they're allowed to leave too.
>>
>>223992996
>only look at fatal crashes and the fatalities are 100%
thanks sherlock. By every metric car travel is far more dangerous, your brain is just influenced by the lack of control you feel you're in
>>
Why didn't people just move to the other side of the boat to balance it?
>>
>>223992663
because the women from back then were totally worth being saved and having the scaping privileges. Nowadays it's the complete opposite for the most of them
>>
>>223992688
Better question: why would you design a ship so that if one compartment floods it will overflow and flood the next compartment and then the next one and the next one until your whole fucking ship is full of water?
>>
Brown thought
>>
>>223992663
one of the reasons i love titanic it proves romance is not dead
>>
>>223992663
The whole time I was watching this I was wondering why the hell everyone was just chilling on the deck instead of building makeshift lifeboats
>>
>>223993136
My retarded amigo, I’ll make it simple. Imagine if you have a hole in the hull and water starts filling the room. Once the room is completely filled, the water will either keep filling up till the it explodes, massively damaging the ship, or will flow to the next room. Imagine now there are several rooms that the water can fill before the ship sinks. Based on how big is the hole and how fast the water is rushing in, this design will give you more or less time to evacuate.
>>
>>223993676
Uhh there not how water works.
If you flood a sealed room the water doesn't explode the room, it simply settles into equilibrium
That's basic physics and is used in a lot of things
>>
Men are the ones who create life. I do not know why we have to save women.
>>
>>223992858
Uhhh, chud? Tom Hanks piloted a plane safely into the Hudson.
>>
>>223993136
She could stay afloat with four compartments flooded, but not five
>>
I'd get on the life boat and shoot anyone who tried to stop me.
>>
>>223992663
I think that is exactly what happened but they lied out their asses and put women in institutions for speaking the truth and paid the press to make out they were heroes. Even the employees survived.
>>
>>223993774
Do you understand that the room being flooded is literally under the ocean and with a hole in it or are you genuinely retarded?
>>
>>223992663
The usual voices get pretty quiet When patriarchy is beneficial
>>
>>223992739
you know whats actually crazy? Titanic had more lifeboats than what was the minimum requirement. They were legally allowed to have even less, but opted to have a few more just cause.
>>223992895
Yea, they likely would have had more canvas style lifeboats that require being set up. The boat had 4 and only 2 got used as the other 2 didn't get set up in time. Even with more lifeboats trained people in deploying this style in time wouldn't have worked.
>>
>>223992663
Women were worth dying for back then before the advent of social media and the subsequent rapid hoeflation.
>>
>>223992663
>faggots and browns don't understand the awesomeness of straight white males
>>
>>223992895
Why not just keep all the life boats on the ship and wait for it to sink since they'll just float anyways?
>>
>>223992855
That hasn't been true for a very long time. Titanic rewrote the regulations.
>>
>>223992739
The guy asking about the life boats was for the audiences benefit. In reality no one would have asked about them or gave a fuck until it started sinking and found out the bad news

thats what they really died for. fuck this gay earth
>>
What nobody knew how to swim
>>
>>223992855
every ship that sails today by law has to have enough lifeboats for at least 125% of the people on board, that specific maritime law was passed SPECIFICALLY because of the Titanic
>>
>>223995576
Life boats back then weren't very sturdy, they were notorious for capsizing in rough waters. People didn't want to get in them, especially when the ship still looked like it could stay afloat.
>>
>>223993101
You ever tried to getting thousands of people all to do one unified thing? It would be easier to build a rocket ship and use it to get off the boat
>>
>>223999330
shit i can't even get one person to do anything
>>
>>223992724
you are retarded.
>>
>>223992663
why didn't Dicaprio just fly the Eagles to land?
>>
>>223992713
>As I understand it it's not so much that you have to die with your ship
No, you do. A captain is married to his ship. 'Til death do they part.
>>
>>223999441
And that's legal tender

i'm sure that's how it would go down on a titanic full of zoomers (and rightly so)
>>
>>223992783
One of the titanic survivors went back to his room and guzzled a whole bottle of whiskey then he threw a bunch of shit into the ocean and waited as long as he could to jump in. Then treaded for over two hours until he found a lifeboat and got rescued.
>>
>>223992688
its a white people thing
>>
>>223993889
That was real? I saw that movie, I thought it was bullshit
>>
>>223992688
That's what they get for sinking the ship. It's supposed to ensure the ship does not sink.
>>
>>223993136
The compartments were supposed to make it unsinkable but it didn't work that way in practice. It was the Olympic anyway.
>>
>>223993802
Because 1 man can impregnate 50 women but the reverse is not so. Men are expendable. Women are not.
>>
The hilarity of "the patriarchy" is that it makes life for women exceedingly easy, because men want to take care of them. They're collectively prostitutes for society now and it's driving them insane.
>>
>>223997546
The ship sinking causes a suction to everything around and sucks it underwater. This was explained in the movie. The life boats had to get away from that force to stay afloat.
>>
>>223992663
Well back then women weren't total cunts and largely did what men told them.
Totally different today, most millennial/zoomer men would drown foids.
>>
>>223992688
It's an honor thing. You wouldn't get it.
>>
>>224000460
If my options are:
- Alive and no honour
- Dead and honour
Thate not even a debate
>>
>>223992858
>Think about it. When's the last time you heard the words "survivors of the plane crash" outside of movies?
Almost all plane crashes happen on land
>>
>>223992858
>Think about it. When's the last time you heard the words "survivors of the plane crash" outside of movies?
The Indian guy who just walked away from one. He was sitting next to his brother so it was likely his brother's blood on his shirt.
>>
>>223992858
That single indian guy who survived the air india 787 crash and just...left the plane and walked on the street, kek
>>
>>223993774
Nah bro the room would explode, there's hydrogen in water and hydrogen explodes
>>

I thought they were superior.

That's what an incel would do

Not strong enough to overpower a woman.

Except the obese ones, but they're all down in the ballroom enjoying their good luck at all the food all over the place.
>>
>>223992663
why didn't they just shoot the iceberg?

what did James mean by this?

>The sinking of the French ocean liner SS La Bourgogne on the morning of 4 July 1898 was one of the most disgraceful of disasters in maritime history due to the cowardly and criminal behavior of the crew. Instead of the heroic sacrifice that has often been the shining moment in such a terrible tragedy, the crew of the steamer “fought like demons for the few lifeboats and rafts”, drawing out their knives and threatening passengers with it. Out went for a toss “Women and children first!”, famously established by the soldiers of the sinking Birkenhead, half a century earlier, and by the crew of the Titanic fourteen years later. Only one woman passenger from La Bourgogne was saved, and all children perished.
