As such it is more ethical than meat or eggs (which are fucking gross to eat if you think about them) but it's not technically vegan. It's still not good because we've selectively bred cows into these titty monsters that produce a massive surplus of milk and can't survive in the wild anymore because they need to be milked but consuming milk as a substance isn't inherently violent
