Nolan's Batman is literally just a CIA operative that suspends liberal order in order to save the liberal order. Nolan is fundamentally a coper. In the Batman trilogy, all of the villains were right but Nolan has Batman win without providing an actual rebuttal and win on the basis of sentimentality only. Yes, Occupy Wall Street was correct (Bane). Yes, liberal moralists are fundamentally two-faced and prone to collapse (Joker) which is why we require brief fascism in the form of Plato's nocturnal council (Batman) in order to save liberal democracy.
