I saw this movie. Thought it sucked dick. Told people it sucked dick and they pulled out the old, “clearly you never read a comic” cope. So I read a comic, loved it. Now I hate this movie even more.

Whining like this in public isn’t going to bring Autumn back to life, Zack.

Or get people to like that Last Photograph trashfire you just sank $10 million of your own money into
>>

Normalfags were REALLY desperate to like Superman again after Zack Snyder “ruined” the character and were willing to look over any flaws.

The same thing happened with Star Wars. Normalfags were convinced by Red Letter Media and South Park that the Prequels “ruined” Star Wars and that Abrams “saved” it with The Force Awakens.

Give it a few years and you will have the same goycattle claiming they totally never liked Gunn Superman and never fell for it.

I’m not a Snyderbro. Man of steel is rubbish and watching Batman v Superman in 2016 was the day I realized bad movies existed.

If there was a market for Snyderverse Superman, he’d still be around, on his fifth or sixth sequel by now. But there isn’t, so he’s not.

Meanwhile, the James Gunn Superman is the first one to get a standalone sequel in 45 years.

O god stop posting these ai Generated photos just cuz you hate Cavill's god-tier looks.

I don't like it but I find nothing about it offensive. It's better than a lot of other Superman movies.
>>
>>223986766
I came into this movie already liking Superman and thinking Superman was a cool character. This movie stripped Superman of almost everything that makes him great.
>>
>>223986218
I agree. Movie sucked, read some death of superman comics, thought this movie sucked more. It also made SvB suck more too, what a waste of Doomsday.
>>
>>223986808

Well what are those things in your opinion?

The Good Media told them to like it.

Good Media also told them Snyder was bad and fascist and racists liked his movies (racists like Indians and Latin Americans). Also Good Media says that association is endorsement so if a racist likes your movie, you are definitely a racist because racism is a contagious disease you need to practice hygiene with to prevent contracting.

I find something "offensive" about it in the sense I want to avoid it now.
It's that Superman (and Lex Luthor, and I think many characters of the film) has this simplistic, childlike morality that is appropriate for a cartoon or just any light entertainment story (like a Marvel movie) and this is an easy-fit for the implications of his super powers and the premise of superheroes in general.
But then he gets involved in international politics and war, and this has enormous implications for how a superhero's existence would affect the development of the world. But the film doesn't treat this intelligently or comprehensively, it just says
>lol Supaman just stops all the wars and the bad stuff, he just punches all the baddies

I feel it breaks the suspension of disbelief of the superhero conceit.
Superheroes never stop 9/11, because 9/11 happened IRL and it's important for the development of the real world the audience occupies.
Superheroes instead stop asteroids or alien invasions. Even Batman in the Nolan movies fights corruption.... in "Gotham City"

He’s to passive and kind of a little bitch. His angry moments should be a ,”oh,you just fucked up” kind of moment. Instead we get WHERE’S THE DOG!!! Yes, supeman is supposed to be kind and friendly, but he’s still a badass and this movie doesn’t make him badass. He should also be someone you can look up to. Someone exemplary. I could go on and on Dude I really don’t like this movie.

What's funny is that the fags who said you never read a comic haven't read shit themselves. At best they read summaries of Superman canon events from a ranked list on CBR.

ALL capeshit is bad, even comicbook capeshit. Good comics are completely unrelated to manchild superheroes and that goes for film too.

My only complaint about the movie was the contrived message where they go back on some of the things mentioned and kill everyone in totally not Israel, like I think that should’ve been a moment where maybe Superman’s influence from some other point in the movie convinced them to not slaughter world leaders and maybe let the civilians do it themselves instead or something, like make it know they aren’t making decisions for others I guess, but I think they hinted at the end of the movie they’ll address this in the sequel, still not a good idea at all. And as much as I hate saying it I do think they made Superman way too emotional, namely just the dog scene for me, I liked his speech at the end honestly and I can accept a version of Superman that accepts more of his human side than his kryptonian side. I think that as a Superman movie, not as a film on its own, it did a better job at depicting the character of Superman than Man of Steel did, like it actually felt like he was back again despite his flaws because he wasn’t being a brooding aura farming charisma void
>>
>>223986218
Superman isn't a compelling character, never has been and never will be no matter who directs his movie...inb4 muh reeves superman, it's shite
>>
>>223987609
>they made Superman way too emotional
superman has always been an unbearably emotional cringey woke liberal who has to constantly show how good of a person he is

>>
>>223987609
The problem with the end speech for me was that it is essentially Superman crying about Lex Luthor not accepting him and being mean to him. In and of itself that scene can be okay, but in the context of this movie where Superman watched Lex kill an innocent man in cold blood, a man that helped Superman before, to even fucking care about Lex's opinions after that bullshit is just... fucking offensive.

I don't mind that superheroes generally hang around one major city. When superheroes get too political and/or militaristic could lead to problems, however. It leads to questions like you allude to, 'Where were they on 9/11?'

>character has a flaw
welcome to writing 101
>>
>>223987878
It's a flaw that is hardly explored, it is something that is just there and when addressed, it is mostly to make fun of Superman for being a dork or a pussy.
>>
>>223986505
Who gives a fuck. These movies are awful. What's up with indians always having to take sides and defending them to death?
>>
>>223987878
that flaw is like a 100m sprinter being in a wheelchair it’s a complete contradiction
>>
>>223987917
>>223988108
yeah in gunnman they don't use that at all, but in the reeves and snyder films that flaw is heavily explored. watch less jeetkino before you shitpost again.
>>
>>223988287
In Richard Donner's movie, the dorky persona Clark adopts is a deliberate act to prevent people from recognizing him as Superman.

Normalfags don’t think about Star Wars at all. The only people who do are us and the people who want to ruin it.
