People still pretending Black Jet was good annoys me. He acts absolutely nothing like Jet, theyre just saying it because hes black.
The funniest thing to come out of it was this comic book cover (which had to be retroactively corrected).In the original anime special care was taken in depicting Spike's iconic Jericho 941 R, so much that to many minds the pistol is inseparable from the show.And they completely fucked it up.

Gren got sent to a prison that tests drugs on prisoners, and the drugs they pump into him cause weird side effects like him growing breasts but also are causing his organs to fail and now that he's free his only goal with the time he has left is to confront Vicious about why he betrayed him. A man on a suicide mission against the guy who ruined his life for nothing.In the Netflix show, Gren is a "yasss, queen slay" flamboyant trans icon nightclub owner. Which is a fucking INSULTING change to make to the character, because its literally taking the life-ruining, worst thing that ever happened to this character and instead makes that the sum total of their identity as a positive and supposedly empowering trait.If anything, the Netflix show isn't hated ENOUGH.

I'm ambivalent on Jet's race swap and the girl from Jurassic World 2 works aside from the desexualized outfit, but there's basically no excuse for casting a man who was pushing 50 to play a man who is explicitly in his mid 20s. Spike's whole fucking character is built around being a brash young man who's seen more than he should have at his age, and that's why he's jaded and perpetually courting death, John Cho doesn't work any way you slice it
