It saddens me that they messed with Avatar 3 so much. It's obvious that it went terribly wrong and had to re-use a ton from Way of Water. At least part 4 will be completely new. It could have probably been done half as fast if they had gone with traditional animation rather than obsess over motion capture. At its core the love story would have still worked. If it's like a kid, or one who isn't an expirienced hunter/warrior then I think the Yautja easily kills them. But if the Na'vi is a warrior/hunter then could defeat a predator with easy-medium difficulty. and it being a cakewalk if the battle happens on pandora due to the Air difference and the entire planet basically being on their side. I know the one in the first movie was weak, but if a vietnam era human can get lucky and sneaky enough to kill one, then the super-strength cat person who has been literally evolved over thousands of years to be a perfect ambush predator and scavenger will probably fuck up a Yautja.If we take stealth and nature out of the equation (like fighting in a concrete cube or something), then a Yautja might be able to win with hitting 1-2 autotracking plasma shots. 85% of the time the N'avi win in a 1v1.If the Predators declared war and actually fought together (instead of just as isolated hunters) against the N'avi off pandora then they would easily win due to superior tech though.

I recently finished the Chtorr series which has its own autistic alien ecology similar to Pandora, except extremely evil. I think people don't talk enough about how 3 reveled the woodsprites are the source of the kurus. It means it's quite possible the Navi are another alien culture that somehow got assimilated into Pandora's ecology and not just a fringe fan theory. This is also something Chtorr implies pretty heavily in the fourth and preview chapters for the fifth book although in that case it's aliens getting turned into farm animals for the Chtorr.
We really do need to see Na'vi on Earth.
