They treated me and my group of friends very unwelcomingly. I was extremely disappointed since I heard they were open to outsiders and new cultures. We would travel in the cities usually without issue but the smaller towns and along the water ways we had major issues. Restaurant waiting servants were also unexpectedly rude too. My group and I speak fluent native English and they kept saying they couldn't understand us, meanwhile the White European group spoke English to them in idiotic German accent and they understood them just fine. Then the restaurant would get upset if we would order and split meals. Usually one meal per 2-4 people since the serving sizes were so large.
There was an incident on a boat tour where we agreed in the price being about ₹1500 Albanian Leks, and then halfway through the tour they demanded 1500 per person. We were in a group of 23 people. I was furious and so we're all my mates. I'm never going back to Albania. One big rip off and everyone was rude.
