American who WILL be traveling a lot for work. I need recommendations on what kinds of credit cards are food and benificial to me, what kinds of terms and conditions are generally considered kind and those to look out for. Thanks in advance
you don't write like an AmericanI think you're a jeetanyway don't get a card with a fee, and usually you can get 2-4% cash back which is about as good as things get. points are usually complicated and subject to arbitrary value changes
>>2915204Your writing smacks of ESL and the disgust competes with my resentment.I’m gonna give you a go FUCK yourself because of the job that lets you travel but it’s a deadpan one because I don’t resent brown people. It’s only really Asians and whites that can get my blood boiling?>why?Because I know that when they’re expats or working overseas, etc that they can actually capitalize on their social and sexual opportunities. This makes me angry. However, I know that someone who writes like this isn’t white/asian, and so I know that even if they tried extremely hard to, they couldn’t cultivate a life that I would be jealous of because women aren’t attracted to them. Interesting
Depends what you fly and where.AAdvantage is good for US domestic since they basically go everywhere, good intro rate+bag free+seat stuff+upgrades+point system. They have a no annual one. They also have a decent enough Asia presence. I have the 99/yr one pays for itself in baggage alone.Star Alliance is fine too mostly the same just united+delta.Just look at interest rates, annual fees, and keep in mind for bonus points you need to often activate the offer then buy.
>>2915259>baggagekek what a bitch
Will you be able to put your travel expenses on your personal cards?
>>2915283This.I, like most posters here, take a few weeks holiday with the lads down to Portugal for some cheap drinks or ryanair to italy. only need bag, mates, and wallet, hehe hope we come back with all three! mutts literally get 1 day off a year and feel the need to take everything
>>2915296No, the booking reservations are handled separately, just food, gas, and non reservation stuff
>>2915299This is nice cope but many Americans like myself retire by age 40 and we get 356 days off per year and can spend a month at our lake or mountain cabin because we are rich while you sit in a tube of drunk yobs to fly to a brown shithole for 2 days so Ndugu can rob you after you get wasted as cope for your inferiority complex
>>2915305cool story. you still dont need all those bags pussy
>>2915320If you dont need bags then dont bring them dummy unless your king Charles requires it of course
>>2915204Don't overthink it. Get a 1.5-2% cash back rewards card from any bank that doesn't charge an annual fee. Or if you've got a decent IQ and organizational skills, you could even "churn" through a bunch of credit cards to stack up sign up bonuses. I've made 5 figures from this over the past decade.
>>2915320Yes I do require a sack full of clothes because I wash laundry once a week and change clothes daily. That's a lot of clothes.
>>2915506laundry once every 4 days is worth it in exchange for carrying less stuff
>>2915516What about other climates you go to throughout the year?5 pairs of clothes is fine and doable if you're only SEA living but that shit's fucking dumb.
>>2915233>>2915234Your right, you got me. I'm South Asian who naturalizatied to become American Citizen.
>>2915369>I've made 5 figures from this over the past decade. Is that a flex? Many credit cards give you a thousand cash back if you spend like $5k in three months. That's nothing. If you made $100k in a decade from playing that game it would be impressive, but 5 figures is child's play.
>>2915305lol you live in your car and even that belongs to Schlomo Schekelstein for 50 more years.
>>2915296>>2915301Update- I actually have the option to put the travel expenses on my card! This is huge since I can take advantage of this on a credit card through points and building my credit higher.
>>2915562Low IQ racism from a brokie. Not surprised desu
>>2915526advice still stands, highest no-category cash back %, no annual fee, and don't worry too much about the rate because you should never carry a balance across months anyway
>>2916560Then you want to get flexible currency cards. This really comes down to AMEX, Chase, or Capital One. You will want one premium card like a CSR, AMEX Platinum, or Venture X. These will give you lounge access, CLEAR, hotel status, and car rental perks. Make sure you have food bonuses for restaurants too. Volunteer to pick up every check. Every event, every happy hour, every team dinner etc. I made millions of points in consulting just from being the guy that would put in the expensing effort.
>>2916657i have the capital one card but its finnicky overseas and requires 2fa with my broken old phone. my local credit union gave me a metal credit card with 32k limit, no monthly fee, no foreign transaction fee, can use email for 2fa, similar cash back to capitalone. i've been using it now that my capitalone card expired and they wont ship it to me while i'm overseas
>>2915522Uhh, travel to a place during its warm season and sleep indoors? A puffy jacket, single long-sleeve shirt and beanie hat is all I need for cold weather since I sleep indoors and don't visit places during their freezing periods.>>2915516Acshually the 1 kg weight you save from leaving out three shirts/boxers/socks is not worth the hassle of having to find a laundry place every three days for months on end.
>>2916706>Acshually the 1 kg weight you save from leaving out three shirts/boxers/socks is not worth the hassle of having to find a laundry place every three days for months on end.I'm more of a settler, I find a place and stay there for 3 months and move to the next. If there's no washer/dryer in the unit or they charge for it I simply do laundry by hand
>>2916702man use that shiny card to buy yourself a phone that's not shit
Hijacking OPs gay business thread What are some actual useful pre pay debit cards to use while abroad. Have a CU money but the amount of problems they put me through last year makes me never want to touch that card again. Got a venmo card to replace and they just changed their terms so that international use gets hit with fees. I need something good to use for withdrawing money that isn't going to bone me on fees or require me to piss around with a lot of administrative stuff just to have the card. Also something that isn't going to shut down on me for withdrawing money more than 2 times per day or some other weird gotcha bullshit.
>>2917094If US Citizen, Chime. Does ATM reimbursment for 711 atm's as well
>>2915204As for food, eat less. You are gay and retarded. Fat bitch.
>>2917131Thank you I'll look into it. I never thought something straightforward like a prepay card that you can pull money from would end up being so complicated but I guess everyone's trying to suck every last ounce of Izzat from consumers nowadays.
>>2917163Chime is GOATNo minimus, basically 1:1 exchange rates or the closest I can find, no transaction fees abroad, ATM reimbursement, good digital card options.Use to be big Charles Schwab/prepaid cards till I got chime and never looked back
>>2917174I’ve been thinking about getting a Schwab, what makes chime better?
>>2917601Chime is technically not a bank, which allows it to bypass a lot of the safeguards and regulations placed on banks in the US. They've had problems with disappearing customer accounts and not disbursing the balance. FDIC insurance does not apply to Chime. But evidently they pay more interest than Schwab.
>>2917174>No minimus, basically 1:1 exchange rates or the closest I can find, no transaction fees abroad, ATM reimbursement, good digital card options.chatgpt says the chime cards have foreign transaction fees and they dont do atm reimbursement
>>2917094I used a Fidelity cash management card as my overseas debit card.
>>2917606Chime is a fintech, so it's best to keep it in a slush fund state. Most "chime count disappeared guys" stories I've heard usually boil down to "well da tech support people dun call me to tell me Biden givin me money".>>2917610I just used it at 711 the other day got my ~2.50$ fee replaced here in Japan, when I do a purchase the conversion is nearly 1:1, I think it's like 1:1.15.If you are really all about penny pinching down to the ATM fee, go with Schwab just last time I was looking to use them their mobile app and card replacement stuff was kinda lame.
