my Halloween playlist now is mostly memphis rap with the monster mash and thriller mixed in. plus a couple geto boys related albums I guess
it's a shame most of the novelty songs are from the 60s and 70s, I've listened to them like 20 times a piece
for how big the candy and costume industry is you'd think the music portion would evolve like the christmas music industry has but it hasn't for some reason. I guess it's related to how trick or treating itself is mostly dead now, with stuff like trunk or treat at one location replacing it, there's no need for anything beyond the one or two mainstream playlists when everyone just goes to a central location for 3 hours
