This thread is for the discussion of scale plastic (and resin, PE, wood, etc) models kit
-Post photos of your builds in progress and your finished builds

This is the first time I have ever seen a kit having boxart for a vehicle you can't make using the parts provided by the kit

That's nothing, here's some real bullshit. I actually have the Egyptian boxing. I suppose Dragon lost the original, or worse, fucked with the mold.

And to add insult to injury, what they did was create a poorly fitting duplicate of an existing part, which you can see in pic rel.

    You have decals enough for 1300, 1301, 1303, 1304, and 1305. You're really only missing a 2.

    >boxart: crew
    >actual kit: no crew
    >aftermarket crew kits: 0 ever made
This is why I sometimes feel like boomermaxing and only building Tamiya forever. Pretty much every one of their 1:35 vehicles comes with at least one figure.

Right now I have Takom's Chieftain Mk.11 in stash, but pretty much nobody makes British tank crew of the period. But I also have Tamiya's Challenger 1, that comes with a desert figure and a woodland figure. I'll just put the woodland crewman into the BATUS Chieftain.

Still a lot of the shit in my stash are just simply not going to have figures. I can't believe 80's-90's American tanker kits are just pretty much extinct in the wild.

Bruh, Nigel the lorry-driver and Reggie the milkman, no thanks.

In the age of photogammetry, AI-assisted modelling and resin 3D-printing garage industries this shit shouldn't be that hard.

    Speaking of boxart...
    >classic Dragon kits will get reprinted
    >all boxart is replaced by AI slop reproductions run through a piss filter
It's cute how it even gave these guys yellow prop tips that were not on the original artwork or the actual aircraft.

the weirdest thing I learned about wypipo is they prefer chicken breasts since they can't stand the texture of dark meat

What's more crazy is that when they're slighted they just "let it go" and not be bothered by it. Somehow they don't feel the need to prove they're not punk ass bitches by shooting up an eight year olds birthday party and going to prison forever.

This color is fucking impossible to photograph, hopefully easier in the photo booth when it's done, but it has worked. It's very subtle and perhaps it would be advised to do two or three layers rather than just one of white and black but you can tell it's no longer "airbrush even" disregarding my post shade shenanigans

Cheapo Academy F4U-1 in 1/72. I improved it somewhat by randomly adding rivets looking at no references whatsoever

I'm just reading what's on the box man. As you can guess by my random rivets, accuracy doesn't concern me all that much

    >>11932802
Too lazy to set up the photo box but I finished it. Not quite the correct antenna but looks more interesting. Fun little model, only the holes for the landing gear to attach to the wings didn't fit so I had to drill them a bit larger. All these cheap Academy war birds are good fun
