    >sold out at Amiami
    GOD. FUCKING. DAMN
Is my computer fucked or something? I can't access to my account, it just shows me a white page, I need to po the fucking Locust before he's also sold out dagnabbit.
    >>
    >>11920349
I preordered mine at Nin-Nin, since I prefer them over Amiami. They tend to be a bit slow to send out the figures though, but I recall it being the case for Amiami as well so your mileage may vary. They don't have the doggo available right now though (yet ?).

    https://www.nin-nin-game.com/en/action-figures/260878-daedalus-project-experimental-subject-b0200-locust-acridid-vermin-series-sexyice-.html
    >>
    >>11920355
The dog was also available on Nin Nin a couple of days ago, I guess it's also sold out there. I'm boiling with rage especially because I had so many days I wanted to po that fucker yet decided to do it once he's sold out.

I guess I'll get the Locust on Nin Nin then.
    >>
    >>11920362
Wait, so it doesn't work the same way as with the Pureice Smasher then ? I mean a preorder window where you can get as many as you want until it closes down at a set date ? I would still hit the "Notify me when available" button just in case since it helped me a few times in the past.
    >>
    >>11920368
I couldn't say anon, if it's about NNG, I seldom order from there.
If it's Amiami, I just need one so I usually put order, but I found out today I can't access to my account at all.

I knew it was gonna have a short po window cause it was some gay WF exclusive and still slept on it sigh.
    >>
    >>11920379
Oh, I wasn"t even aware of the fact that it was a WonFes exclusive, yeah, sadly you may be having trouble getting it. Though quite frankly, them being available more easily in Japan means that you should be able to get them from Mandarake or other spots like Mercari once they release.
    >>
    >>11920384
I hope that's the case, I wasn't too fond of the dogs cause I read they're rather fragile, but seeing as they've improved their joints and gave them metallic colors made me change my mind.

    >them being available more easily in Japan means that you should be able to get them from Mandarake or other spots like Mercari once they release.
The same happened with the Anaconda Smasher, after he was "sold out" he appeared on Amiami weeks after and stayed for a couple of months, plus he's around 100 - 120 USD on Mercari last I checked, so I hope you're right anon.
    >>

    >Bombusbee posts that hounds are on sale

    >33% off! Which is… 50+ burgers
The fuck were they thinking with the pricing on those things.
    >>
    >>11920680
Worst part is they have sort of been validated since. Not specifically because of the dog, it was definitely overpriced and hasn't sold particularly well you can tell, but since Inart did their massive price hike, I think the price for all Chinese figures is going up, the dog is gonna look standard in hindsight.

I also saw mention that apparently Chinese customs may begin actually checking licensing during export, which if true, is going to annihilated the third party market and bring an end to this entire era of collecting, kind of crazy nobody is talking about it. I believe the source was a designer that SpicyPsyDuck was talking to at Wonderfest.

To my understanding based on the toy descriptions the sexy ice lore is about how in the future humanity finds a giant document from the ancient past which when decoded predicts a bunch of important events past the time of its creation including an impending apocalypse.

The Unkvals are biomechanical drones and the bug monsters are experiments in creating a superior version of humanity capable of surviving the coming apocalypse with them all being based on technologies detailed in the document.

The Manticora was the last of those experiments to be completed, which rapidly grew in intelligence and destructive ability due to having some sort of power to regenerate/alter its biology, which caused all of the other experiments to escape, It was based on a bombardier beetle which is why it comes with a partially melted Unkval head.

The Locust is either a repaired Unkval or bug monster from an unknown previous civilization.

Is there anything else in the lore that I'm missing?
    >>
    >>11920934
Yeah the gayness of it all.

I like this post, would love to read more Sexyice lore. All I know is that the Troy bioroids were like the beginning of what the Unkval would be.

    >The Manticora was the last of those experiments to be completed
I'm curious now about what the powerscale of the monsters are. Ant seems to be the weakest as the lore explains they are dangerous en masse, but individually they are like a 1/10 danger lever.

Oh you don’t see it! It’s actually normal for joints to be a different color! Great goalpost moving. Do you even have one to be doing this much coping/damage control because if not this is sad. As an actual owner of the toy, I’m telling you the variation in color does not look good in hand. Is it the end of the world level bad? No but I still can’t help but feel disappointed. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for a uniform color all over the entire thing for the kind of premium figure it is and for the kind of stark and clean design they were going for. This is absolutely because of the POK shenanigans.

I think their pricing and overall brand image indicates this is more of a premium brand compared to others in the 1/12 market.

I really like the bioroid bros, might be one of my favorite figures this year. It’s such a simple design but the engineering is interesting and I think the accessories like the specific hand and face options they chose are very smart. I also like how realistic the elbows and knees look when bent which is not too common to see on figures. I sort of wish I got a second one or maybe the gray one though I preferred the white. I’ll definitely try to get the crash test dummy version whenever they release that but I think it will feel almost like a different figure just because of the drastic difference in color.
    >>
    >>11924525
Not my jam due to how the hips work, which is the reason I ultimately decided to pass on it, but I'm glad you're enjoying it!

    584 KB JPG
    >>11924525
I like everything about it except the color. I hope the Crash Test variant isn't more expensive. I definitely want that one.
    >>
    >>11924534
The hips are definitely odd and tricky to move where you want but I don’t hate them. I think they tried to replicate realistic human anatomy/movement which might be why the torso for example doesn’t have as much range as you would expect.

    >>11924554
I might have preferred if they leaned more into the synth/robot stuff and had a few more subtle tampos on the body, in addition to the ones on the chest and back, as the unkvals have. I mean I don’t think it’s really a good blank base for customs so they could have added more design details. But maybe the intention was something clean and monochrome.

Hopefully the dummy is not too hard to get. I wish gundamit wasn’t so inconsistent with this brand. I don’t want to use bombusbee but I also don’t want to use amiami anymore because every time I order with them, I end up spending hundreds of dollars trying to combine items to min max shipping.

Mine is moving through the Chinese shipping pipeline currently. He looks good, and the few reviews I've seen seem to be positive. He could have done with a Sword of Omens in the short form, and maybe a way to hang the claw shield on his waist, but those are quibbles. Would have liked him in the smaller Captain Planet scale, but figures are moving away from that scale, it is what it is.
