Setting expectations for tomorrow
>>11920203Why does Bastion Booger and a scientist guy cost $75? Looks like they're trying to charge for a balljoint at the waist like it's some revolutionary concept when every mcfart does it. Then scientist guy has single jointed arms. I wouldn't buy this pack for $50
>>11920208man how bad is it going to be when he feels he has to apologize in advance?
>>11920212Because you didn't vote right and we're all suffering for it.
>>11920251It isn't. It's just schizo losers like YOU get pissy when they don't show off a ton of new things and he doesn't want to hear it.
>>11920251It's just not going to be comic related stuff, probably MCU and more X-Men 97.
>>11920252>Implying we wouldn't be in this same exact situation regardless of who gets electedOh please, all these politicians hate you. Neither side would have made this any better.
>>11920251Do you even buy toys? Why do you always come in here doomposting like you know anything?
>>11920212Remember that Ghost Rider HasLab from a few years ago? Same thing, they are testing to see how much can charge people for their crap.
>>11920265>doompostingall i did is read the twitter post, he is coming off as extremely defensive, much like you. and i'm not your little thread girlfriend, go find him if you want to argue over stupid shit like this you fat baby
>>11920279NTA but he makes these kinds of posts pretty regularly before a livestream to set expectations. You're reading too much into it to try and find something to be doom and gloom about.
Alright, I'm out of ideasHow tf do I get this poor girl to STAND? She falls over the most of every figure on my desk.
>>11920279>he is coming off as extremely defensiveHe really isn't. You're looking for shit that isn't there.
>>11920204> I only pay maximum $25 for a model kityoure in luck
>>11920288museum tack or use stands for all your figures>>11920208>tomorrow might not be your fav dayholy kekkeroni
>>11920288Just throw it away and wait for the rivals blokees
>>11920208Why is Dan such a faggot?
>>11920288Nail her feet to the desk.
>>11920313After tariffs and shipping I assume that will be over 25
>>11920288It's Hasbro's fault for not making heavy legs
>>11920407this particular listing is free shipping so youre probably just gonna pay tariffs. i dont know your rates but im assuming 10%? so that's $2.2. best ultron ever made and it feels really solid and hefty
>>11920264That's right folks. Nothing would have been different. Democrats would have certainly:- Imposed a series of illegal, insane, and incoherent tariffs- Went out of their way to tell everyone that toys specifically will definitely get more expensive, and they will have to be satisfied buying fewer toys- Began a domestic terror campaign against immigrants- Threatened to cancel elections and imprison those who support his rivals- Ended support for renewable energy technologies while reinvesting in dead-end non-renewables- Engaged in corrupt trade deals with incompetent and/or hostile nations- Threatened and acted on nakedly imperialist rhetoric against loyal allies- Supported Russia in their war of aggression, including multiple provocations within and against NATO countries- Started a war of aggression against Iran that catastrophically disrupted the global fuel supplyNobody can convince me otherwise.
>>11920444Your point is valid, but I don't know if this thread is the place for it
Oh my God, people are actually discussing US politics in the Marvel toy general. As if this isn't what everyone talks about all the time everywhere else. Mods?
Posting my most wanted figures before the reveals tomorrow. We're sorely lacking an accurate comic Winter Soldier, he would go great with the 60th anniversary Black Widow. Also, we have a very fleshed out Iron Man rogue's gallery, but no Ghost! Need him. I have a lot of faith they will make She-Hulk's modern leotard design soon, since they started with her classic, then Fantastic Four, and are seemingly making progress through her different era costumes. Also, she wore this in MvC3, which they have been trying to provide MvC appearances for these characters lately. She would probably come in the Hulk packaging like Abomination, Red She-Hulk, and Doc Samson too. I included Swordsman for a classic Avengers villain (could also go for a Batroc the leaper remake with better articulation). Captain Marvel just because he's insanely classic, and could substitute for classic era Kree soldiers. And I would love a Living Brain figure, to continue with classic Spider-Man enemies. Could also go for a Crime Master figure, but that's just a guy in a suit so I chose Living Brain over him. Feel free to share your wishlists, too.
>>11920470What the hey, I'll play
The Doomsday Actionverse Sentinel totally doesn't suck if you add some paint to him. Plans to change the hands (or at least add wrist artic) and a waist swivel.
>>11918929That’s inconsistent artwork, look at the in-game sprites. It’d be a great Hulk if they were faithful to that.
>>11920498Yeah I'll play too
>>11920498Some great picks. I was just reading Winter Soldier: Winter Kills the other day, where Bucky encounters Patriot and his team including Kate Bishop. It seems like we’re only just getting figures of a lot of these core 2000s era characters, like the Dark Avengers. Patriot would be a great addition to that era. Kate too for that matter.
>>11920523To add to this, we are really going to need a classic X23 figure soon as well, Hasbro. Her default look, and not the yellow/blue suit or X-Force. It’s what she wore in MVC3, if you needed another reason to do so. If you can give us a new Daken, you can give us a new Laura.
>>11920470They literally said comic fans won't be happy. Meaning it'll be mcu and or animated.
>>11920470I'm actually surprised they haven't made Swordsman yet.
>>11920521Yellow Claw is elite ball knowledge lol. Would be awesome, but I honestly doubt they ever would. The Warriors Three would make for an amazing 3-pack (or even a Volstagg BAF), they HAVE been giving us some core Thor characters recently like Enchantress and Executioner, so I could see it happening. (And then a sorely lacking classic Beta Ray Bill, please!)
>>11920540They’ll say this and then just reveal like two new waves with 12 figures and a bunch of 2-packs. Or like, they’re making modern She-Hulk and X23 as a part of MVC3 Gamerverse or something. Hell, if we are going to get animated stuff at least give us a new Havok/Polaris X-Men 97 2-pack or something. Like they said not to get excited for the stream last month cause it was small, but it had multiple huge reveals. I can’t think of enough MCU characters for them to fill an entire NYCC’s worth of reveals. I don’t care if the character is labelled “Gamerverse” or “animated” as long as it’ll go into my main collection, anyways.
>>11920545wrong.
>>11920540Tbh I'm fine with thatImagine an Alan Cumming Nightcrawler
>>11920549First of all, that’s too simple of a response to even refute any of my points. I genuinely can’t think of enough MCU characters for them to not reveal ANYTHING else at the whole event, even if they said it’d be “disappointing” to comic fans. We could get a second Doomsday wave of 6 figures & a couple new Doomsday 2-packs. Who else even is there from Doomsday? Nightcrawler, Prof X & Magneto, M’Baku, Shuri, Namor. Steve Rogers in his T-shirt.
>>11920208>no comic figures, more 97 and doomsday shitwelp. fuck everything, I guess. my wallet is safe for the rest of the year.
>>11920303The material isn’t thin enough to lay down properly around the figure and bunches up awkwardly, not giving the proper visial impression for the hood.
>>11920555nope. you dont know what youre talking about.
>>11920565On iPhone, if I crop my pictures it will post correctly. I’m not sure if the same applies to samsung but worth a shot.
>>11920573It takes like 3 extra seconds and also your picture sucks anyway so why bother posting it in the first place?
>>11920575if you're at a restaurant and you're waiting for your food do you take a shit on your plate and serve it to everyone?
>>11920470>the brain, captain marvel and swordsmanneat picks
>>11920498>peni, viv , starlingthey're way behind on these>Nighthawk/Patriothow that sick design didn't get a figure right away is insane>Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaurif this is a made-to-order and it includes Casey I'll fucking do it.
This made me laugh.
>>11920593>“Cyclops, you asked my noble name, and I will tell it; but do you give the stranger’s gift, just as you promised. My name is Nobody. Nobody I am called by mother, father, and by all my comrades.”
I like the figure but the effect could be better. I'll prob keep him just without it.
>>11920599kek
I was kind of hoping we'd get a normal Bastion when he was pretending to be a government spook.
>>11920444>- Supported Russia in their war of aggression, including multiple provocations within and against NATO countries>- Started a war of aggression against Iran that catastrophically disrupted the global fuel supplyflip these two and that's what Democrats wold have done and we'd all be suffering the same if not worse. Take your partisan bullshit elsewhere.
Unboxed MvC Iron Man tonight. I remember hearing about some of them being gummy and loose in the previous thread. I wouldn't say he feels overly gummy, though the biceps on mine are a little loose. Looks fucking great though, such an improvement over the modular armor figure.>>11920600Damn, Optic Blast Dysfunction is a bitch. Marsden face actually looks pretty good though.
More elaborate packaging for the TAS Venom reissue than I was expecting.
>>11920498I still can't believe Lunella didn't get a figure yet.
>>11920444>NO MY SIDE WAS RIGHT!You gotta realize all of these politicians hate you. Every single one of them. Now instead of being a butt baby about politics, what toys are you getting today?
>>11920538There already was an X23 figure in a 2 pack recently
>>11920585I always figured the best way to do DD would be a Haslab with Lunella and Casey as stretch goals. And it is really weird how Viv hasn't had a figure yet. I was hoping she'd show up in Visionquest, but, that seems unlikely.
>>11920521>>11920470Hell yeah gimmie some crazy as hell 60s robots, that shit is my jam.
>>11920660Does it make you mad they didn't do the shield right by having the gauntlet pop off and peg the shield into something under it?
>reveals such dogshit that nobody bothered to post picsIs this the end of hasblo legends
>>11920750Dude, VENOM (SPIDER-MAN) is getting released! Just what people have been asking for! It's so sassy, it's like VENOM but also SPIDER-MAN!
>>11920750Polaris with a manface and Leafman will surely sell out
Welp, I'll be getting this entire wave except maybe Gambit.
>>11920754Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man 2 pack. Easy pass for me.
>>11920755Vemom in his red and blue Spider-Man look. Another pass.
>>11920758Another Astonishing 2 pack. Just a reissue set for those who missed them originally. Nothing new from what I can tell in this pack
>>11920760Dwight explained what happened with Thor. Apparently during production they decided that they were unsatisfied with the new head and didn't like the way it looked, so they went and made a running change to the old IW head because they felt the likeness was better.
>>11920761Doomsday Wave 2
>>11920763Final Tease
Wait, I thought it was called “Comic” con?
Better shot of the 97 wave>>11920766Comic con hasn't been about comic books for nearly twenty years. Where have you been?
>>11920763Disney really fucked Hasbro up the ass with that “concept” figure.
>>11920761The new one seemed better from the pics, at least. >>11920758This thing looks nice enough, though I tried reading that book and could not get through it. I'd maybe be interested if cheap, but otherwise nah. >>11920754Boring to me, but good that people are getting those main characters. Since I'm not getting everything, I'd more be interested in interesting one-offs, like En-Sabah Nur. Guardian/Vindicator is... a weird pic, though I would like to get him because I like the character. That said, of course they reuse an ML body rather than give it a 97 style figure, making it look completely incompatible with its wave mates. Worth noting that they said there will be a running change where the neutral head will not have that black shading on it for those more interested in a classic version. If I can't find that one I'll just wait until the next time Guardian shows up.
>>11920763Might get that Beast
>>11920769I'm just stoked we're getting the New X-Men suits. We just got a regular Beast, hopefully Hasbro doesn't drag their feet on getting us him in his Morrison suit.
>>11920769I dropped the Amazing Venom after he started talking about how he’d rather be relaxing with a glass of wine on page one. That really sounds like something an Australian career criminal with a symbiote would say. Right. Seriously have to wonder what the Hell is going on at Marvel sometimes.
>>11920767I think I'm gonna pass on all of these except for Vindicator. The end of season 2 left a really bad taste in my mouth.
>>11920761This shows you the people designing Legends have no idea what they're doing or he's lying. They thought the old head looked better? Are you kidding? When everyone wants the new head instead? These people have no aesthetic taste at all. I wouldn't be surprised if they prefer swivel waists over ball peg waists or some ludicrous shit.
>>11920775A wine mom was writing the book or a hallucinating AI generated the writing.
>>11920776Yeah '97 died when they got rid of Bo. I thought they would follow his plans for at least s2 but they pivoted to some Apocalypse Gambit nonsense that made literally no sense for Apocalypse to do.
>>11920780See, that was my first thought. But evidently it was written by some middle age white guy. Maybe they’ve had a bunch of their talentless YA author wine aunt writers program an AI to write Marvel comics? Genuinely confounding.
>>11920782Agreed on all counts. Even looking at the Horseman Gambit figure and remembering they just did a pallete swap instead of giving him a new design really brings back how lazy, unimaginative and just generally stupid the second season ended up being. Glad I won't have to buy the eventual 80 dollar SSJ Rogue and Gambocalypse two pack though.
I mean, even Gail Simone, who is a literal wine aunt at least wrote good Deadpool & Agent X comics. Would love an Agent X figure, btw. Hasbro I know you’re in here.
Fuck yeah, Exodus...
>>11920791>Hasbro I know you’re in here.Hasbro along with Agent X please make classic figures of my Spider-Man villain want list too:>Vermin>Peter Parker Man-Spider (that isn't a BAF)>Spider Slayer robot(s) >Sin Eater>Swarm>The Enforcers
>>11920822So just for reference, the leak has this wave as:-Exodus-Jim Lee Cyclops -Team X Wolverine-Storm (no context given)-Mesmero-Hepzibah
>>11920832Surely he's being worked on but how have we not gotten En-Sabah Nur yet?
>>11920251What surprises me more is that things can somehow get even worse. Very dedicated, these guys.
>>11920758Reminds me of the spider lizard toy I had as a kid
>>11920839They're employees of Hasbro working in partnership with Marvel. They're all aboard on the demoralization train.
>>11920834I'd rather have him than fucking Guardian, I don't even remember him in 97
>>11920766it's also called Marvel "Legends".Feel free to complain to the Korean Social Democratic Party.
>>11920844He was one of the Morph cameos, I think. I wonder if that means those are all on the table, like 90s cartoons Thor. I like Guardian because I like the character, but I agree that he shouldn't be in the regular '97 wave when it's already pretty limited in the character selection dept. Not giving him a '97 sculpt just tells me it was a time or cost saving decision.
>>11920822Can’t wait for some ab crunch waist swivel action
>>11920754I get to wake up to more 97 wank haha I fucking hate living
>>11920860No one is forcing you to buy it. Just skip it and save the money for something else.
>>11917274Is Rowdy /ourgal/?
>>11920866Ew
>>11920865fuck off with your deflection. 97 shouldn't be my reason to withhold my money but they're making it be with this much wank for a mid season with a dud of a finale.
>>11920676Thats how its was originally, it was a "con" exclusive
>>11920767Honestly surprised they didn't put a Wolverine in this wave. Was Guardian called Vindicator on the show? Weird choice for a slot either way.
>>11920881I've never seen someone throw such a tantrum for not having to buy toys he doesn't want. Jeez brother.
>>11920767Isn't it strange how normaloids are so into comic movies and comic cartoons and even comic toys, but they don't care about comics so much so that the corporations don't even dare show off comic figures at a comic con?
>>11920660Yeah he looks great without the blast so I'll be leaving him without it. Tatum Gambit finally comes in today so I hope he looks good as well.
>>11920891>Weird choice for a slot either way. There was a Canadian on the design team
>>11920767I'm happy we're getting a 97 Havok fig, season 2 sucked big hairy balls but I liked Havok and his design. The Scott fig looks cool too but I'd rather have his S1 casual outfit like they did with Wolverine in a previous wave.Everything else looks like garbage
>>11920470I'm a simple man. I just want a New Warriors Fire Star
>>11920758want
>>11920760I got Cyclops for $14 and Wolverine for $28Feels good knowing I skipped out on paying $60 or however they decide to price this at.
>>11920932>I got Cyclops for $14I guess you're somewhere that doesn't have scalpers instantly buying all toys
>>11920933It was on eBay, I don't know why nobody bid so I just won it by defaultactually it was $15$4 for the fig$11 for shipping
>>11920653>flip these two and that's what Democrats wold have done and we'd all be suffering the same if not worse. Take your partisan bullshit elsewhere.Would have, what? Started a war of aggression against Russia? The one who already started a war of aggression? What sense does that make? Oh, let me guess, you’re still butthurt the Allies curb-stomped your beloved Nazi heroes with their “aggressive” invasion of the Fatherland. Why don’t you go jerk off to your panzer waifus and stop shitting up this thread, fascist scum.>>11920712>You gotta realize all of these politicians hate you. Every single one of them. Now instead of being a butt baby about politics, what toys are you getting today?Unlike you, I don’t need politicians to be my friend. I only ask they don’t fuck up every single aspect of civil life, which Republicans have proven time and time again they are unable to do. Also, you’re the one who dredged up this political chat, baby boy. I said my piece and let it go. You should follow your own advice and keep your brainless political opinions to yourself, fuckass chump. And to answer your question, I bought a toy to fuck your mom with. Happy?
>>11920958Fuck off faggot
>>11920760This is such strange re-reliase. Probably the first time ever Hasbro did straight up repack without any changes or improvements.
This Gladiator worth the upgrade? I'm questioning if I need him or to just wait until a possible better one shows up. Anyone got pics of theirs in action?
>>11920928No you don't. You don't even know who this is. Because this is stupid.
>>11921008For anyone that doesn't know, it's Boomerang with a symbiote.
Tatum looks great.
>>11921035his head looks a bit lopsided
>>11921040Stop looking in the mirror
>>11920755how long until they repurpose this into 60s rhino?me and the boys 3 pack next year?
>>11921035oh yeah definitely an "action" figure with that hardshell coat. imagine the posing possibilities.
>>11921085yeah and leave his arms with jacket sleeves so what if it can be taken off you still can't have good poses with it on.
>>11921090Do you do anything other than complain?

with all those mass firings from american video game companies I'm looking forward to the same happening with hasbro and hiring people that know what to do
>>11921136No, you just sound like a whiny fag
>>11920521I can only see the Spider Slayer being made
>>11921143So you do get upset let me say something positive to make you happy. The packaging looks great.
>>11921035Did he suffer a stroke?
>>11921153No, Channing just naturally looks pretty gormless..
>>11920767I'll get Polaris and maybe Havoc(the effects look great). But S2 was a big drop in quality from the first and I'm not as interested in figures from it.
If DC could do a Godzilla figure, what are the chances we get a Marvel Godzilla BAF?
>>11921173There are lots of 6-7" Godzilla figures, if that's what you want. A BAF Godzilla wouldn't do much else. Also unless it was an entirely themed wave, that probably wouldn't be possible.
>>11921172Even though I'm not as interested in S2 like Horseman Gambit, but the Summers brothers and their respective ladies are a must for me. I've been dying for the Morrison outfits. Give us Morrison Beast damn it!
>>119211730 considering they don't even do bafs anymore
That'll be 30 freedom dollars anon.Hoping the normies are still buying MCU shit to keep the Legends line going at least another couple years. There's still some classic comic characters I want made like an updated Man-Spider deluxe.
>>11921187ain't no way i'm paying $30 for beer belly beast
>>11920763Doom, just for the tomes, though.
>>11921200I'm a good figure, anon. Won't you give me a chance? Only $30 anon, that's almost 8 gallons of gasoline.

>>11921183Oh, that sort of puts a damper on my wave idea.>>11921175Yeah but none of them are Marvel's 70s Godzilla design.
>still crying about $30DCfags will be expected to fork over $40 for the best value figure. check your privilege.why didn't you start your ML collection 10 years ago like me, now I have enough figures to feel like I have a complete collection and not spend on alt costumes and stragglers like Marrina and Box. for example, fuck the serpent society. I'm never finishing that team at $27+ each
>>11921246Asp has her asp on display, god damn.
>>11921246I don't think they're complaining so much about $30 as those MCU figures looking like shit for the price. Not sure what's going on, but most of the Doomsday sculpts look really soft imo.
>>11921215Don't let toy reveals sour your day. There's more to life than consooming.
>>11920999He's pretty good and so is Deathbird. He did appear in season one of 97 though, so I'd say there's a chance they do one for that subline at some point if you'd rather not spend the money right now.
>>11920470I didn't see your post (>>11920825)Here is who I want
>>11920761I saw that and what the hell, are they retarded? When 90% of the figure is reuse, it makes sense that people only wanted this just for the new head.
>>11921325Man-Spider feels like a no brainer since they're bringing back the TAS figures, especially if they stick him in a two pack with TAS Punisher.

Man, takes forever to pose a bitch with six arms.
>>11921325Swarm is so badly overdue for a new figure, goddamn.
>>11920790Horseman Gambit IS a palette swap Gambit though. And that was intentional as in the comic Apocalypse made Gambit super weak, even though he was Death, because Apocalypse was genre savey enough to know Gambit was going to betray him so made it so he wouldn't make him strong enough to hurt him
>>11921414If they were going to reissue Spiral, they should have fucking done her gold at ore variant not this "Spiral but with turquoise fur boots".
>>11921477It's based on her appearance from the MvC fighting games
>>11921473I hear what you're saying, but even the comics they gave him a new costume. The 97 version being just regular Gambit with evil colors feels bare bones and lazy. That said, I may end up picking up the toy at some just because I'm a Gambitch and thought evil Gambit was actually enjoyable right up until they started in on the Apocalypse possession shit.
I didn't even realize that the Bastion Trask 2 pack is made to order. What a waste of a made to order slot. The fact they have to do that for X-Men 97 stuff given the popularity of that show is...What. Makes no sense.
>>11921493I can't find a single person that thought the Apocalypse possessed Gambit thing made sense. Like why would Apocalypse stake his whole existence on possessing Gambit, who is a literal who compared to Apocalypse in power scaling.
>>11921506It was a rip off the Twelve storyline but with Gambit instead of Scott, due to the current mandate that they can't shit on Scott anymore
>>11921516I try to forget the Twelve ever happened lmao, but yeah you're right, that's basically what it was. I want to hope that the next season will be a cleaner without the writer shakeup that caused S2 to feel so all over the place, but without Bo, I'm not holding my breath. His episodes were so much clearly better than the others it's not even funny. Guy gets X-Men, it's so gay Disney canned him.
>>11921517Season 3 is going to be trash as they are going full Trump with Graymond Creed

If anyone is looking to get the new Dafoe Goblin, the Target site has him in stock and there's currently a 25% off special on toys and a buy one get one 50% off as well.
>>11922032You did
>>11922102nah that was u
>>11921955was gonna say that’s a crazy price considering it’s still in stock but it seems to have sold out already, I guess not too many people cancelled this one
>>11922130Mephisto didn't really last that long either. It was just the Sentinel that stayed in stock and that's because it's a more niche item. It's in a completely different price range and it takes a up a ton of space. Whereas all the other MTO items can more or less be worked into normal sized shelves.
>>11922134mephisto is still in stock
>>11922136Oh wow I could've sworn it sold out
>>11922137Maybe it did, it’s not like it’d be the first time Hasbro has done a fake sell out to generate fomo. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if apocalypse goes back in stock for the same reason.
>>11922140You act like these items being made available for people to purchase is a bad thing. It isn't.

>>11922070Thanks, got 2 of them.
>>11922162Can't believe the old toybiz figure looks and articulates just as good (or even better) as hasblo legends. Just goes to show how sloppy hasblo legends are and how untalented dwight and co are.
>>11922214Actually only a small handful of Toy Biz figures hold up. The only reason I still have Toy Biz Cap is that I was unemployed when the 20th Anniversary Cap from Hasbro came out, so I missed it and can justify paying scalper price for it since it is a $50+ figure
GI Joe are officially $29.99 now.
It’s over.
>>11922272Yeah the price hike guy was right but this entire gen chased him out on a technicality because they didn't want to hear the bad news. Jersey Maniac said an insider told him that the only chance to stop the prices from continuing to go up beyond just quitting is to email Hasbro customer support saying the prices are too high.
>>11922276Idk what that would accomplish at this point. They already have an expected revenue projection with these new prices factored in. At most they wouldn’t be able to change anything until Q1 2028 but by then the damage will be done.
>>11922284Supposedly it could keep the prices from going higher in the future if enough people do it.
>>11922284Yes and no. They could definitely reverse course sometime in 2027 if they wanted to.

>>11922162Nice Cap.My dog ate mine years ago. RIP.
>>11922272Welp, they got me for the Summers brothers and their GFs but after that I'm becoming a lot more picky. I've already become more choosey as the years have gone on, but now I'll be even moreso. Not a big deal, I already have a sizeable collection and Hasbro knocked a bunch of my big wants this past year so I won't be too upset by it.
>>11922272AAHHH ITS HAPPENING
>>11922354Guy who argued with the $29.99 spammer last week, just want to clarify: I never said that it wasn't going to raise to $29.99, just that it didn't for the wave he thought it did. He then tried to argue saying the stores I posted examples of were wrong and they'd correct the price, blah blah blah and then proceeded to screech about it for four days straight. Just wanted to state that. Thanks.
>>11922358I said this months back but y'all called me crazy, well whos crazy now! Just wanted to state that. Thanks.
He's arrived!
>>11922388We didn't say you were crazy, just annoying.
>>11922358>just that it didn't for the wave he thought it did.You got him on a technicality, anon. That doesn't matter since it'll just go to $30 on the next wave and everyone gets, what, a month reprieve or less? It's like the equivalent of him saying "It's going to $30!" and you saying "Nuh uh, it's only going to $29.99!"
After the X-Men Apocalypse movie and now X-Men '97 S2, I would be ashamed to own an Apocalypse figure. Apocalypse has been so emasculated by the modern X-Men media tie ins. Even in the modern comics when Krakoa era came, he went on the X-Men's side and has become their ally, what is that garbage?
>>11922409Hey man, he was sperging out in anticipation of the mini comic wave going up and the only thing I did was call him a ninny for being such a gaywad and he proceeded to meltdown for literal days. Stop defending it.
>>11922411Apocalypse is always will be the last boss material. You need to defeat him once. Then story ends. Otherwise he's goes into irrelevance. Which is happens after Twelve. Krakoa's Pokky is kinda fun though. He's invented mutant magic, chilled with his family, ruled Mars.
:(
>>11922469let's hope this kills the line. With hasblo legends gone, disney would want a figure presence thus lower royalties and allow other companies to jump in.Just Imagine storm arena brown wolverine and sabertooth. all the muscular sculpt work and articulation without any corners cut.
>>11922568thats what y'all said when it went to $25, people will buy $40 standard MLs in the next 5 years.
>>11921867I don't have expensive cameras or dioramas to play house with. I just buy figures.
>>11922469
>>11922578;)
>>11922568>Just Imagine storm arena brown wolverine and sabertoothI don't have to, I already have the Mafex. I don't know if Marvel figures by Storm would be any cheaper than other imports, and you'll be waiting even longer for characters like Sabertooth, which has already gotten a prototype from Mafex. I really don't understand why you guys act like Hasbro is your only option for a lot fo these things, when in reality, you have options. You act like Hasbro has you at gunpoint and is going to put one between your eyes if you don't buy the latest Marvel Legend. Says more about you that they live in your head so rent free like this.
>It’s official - Hasbro will be closing its Pawtucket facility, a "plant closure" impacting 587 employees in Rhode Island.>In a legally required WARN letter filed with the RI Department of Labor and Training, the Pawtucket-based company said that the effective date will be December 24, with the plant closing in Pawtucket. >The official notice marks the latest since the company announced in March that it would move to Boston.
>>11922593> I already have the Mafex. He's not girthy enough, I want a wolverine short and built like a brick hence why I think Storm is the most appropriate choice.
>>11922641Should've got the AY then.
>>11922593Mafex sucks for Marvel
>>11922578Haha yeah
>>11922469The funny thing is, people keep saying they're going to cut back but they never do. As evidence I submit the fact that Hasbro is still raising prices. If enough people truly stopped buying, Hasbro would...oh right, they would keep raising the price because if they get less sales from a smaller number of people, that's all that keeps them profitable. So they have trapped themselves in an endless cycle by raising prices that will eventually mean the lines will no longer be financially viable. But the execs moving to Boston probably are counting on that so they can just sell pieces of cardboard with ink splattered on it for hundreds of dollars a box.
>>11922665>just some guy
>>11922593when mafex, blokees, figma or whatever literally who company makes anything other than mainstream or FOTM characters then I'll notice them and look at their prices after shipping and taxes so I can ignore them.
>>11922681The difference now is a competitor is coming in and undercutting them with better product at a whole new universe of characters.
>>11922696You don't know the actual price of DC Legacy figs yet. So chill your nuts. Also, just because a Batman figure exists for $3 cheaper than a Spider-Man figure doesn't mean I'll automatically opt for the Batman if I want the Spider Man. You're really forcing this DC figures are going to out Marvel Legends out of business when that has never happened once. Don't worry your pretty little head sweetheart. I'll be getting both lines. Or at least the figs I want from both.
>>11922689>Implying Storm or Jada will make anything other than mainstream or FOTM characters Lmao
>>11922701They’re $25.
I'll buy the $30 Maximus because slopees will never make himI bet you've never even heard of this character, fucking casuals.
>>11922710Yeah but what kind
>>11922708Price hasn't been officially revealed yet. Could be $25. Could also be $28 or $30. We don't know until they announce it. Starting the line with a $100 figure+diorama combo doesn't make me hopeful though. Again though, just because a figure is a few dollars cheaper doesn't mean I'm going to opt for it over something I actually want.
>>11922712Forth world looking fucker
>>11922714Im telling you they are $25
>>11922719>Just trust me bro>My dad is John MattelOk buddy. I genuinely hope you're right but I'm not holding my breath.
>>11922721$100 build a figure waves will come to you if you repeat “niggers tongue my anus”
>>11922713bas
>>11922725Really desperate to get the last reply in huh?
>>11922714Does anyone truly want Marvel Legends anymore?
>>11922733Yes. You guys are so fuckin weird for trying so hard to get everyone to dislike Marvel Legends as much as you do. I'd admire the dedication if you weren't such autismos.
>>11922733Not for the price. Even if you got in at COVID you’d have seen a 50% increase now. Fuck that.
>>11922712Looks like an Eternal
>>11922738Prices have literally doubled since I started buying Legends. But then in that same breath so has everything else so I can't say I'm shocked. It now costs more to buy a pound of uncooked beef than it did to buy a burger and fried combo meal at your fast food establishment of choice back in like 2009. I was paying $1.90 for gas when I started to drive and now it's almost $6 for fucking unleaded. Look at computer parts. Look at cars. Look at everything. It's all significantly more expensive than it used to be. It's interesting, when you compare the price of Legends from a decade ago to what they were costing before this latest price hike, it was fairly inline with the inflation rate. Like nine cents off. Now if you compare the price of something from 2020 to now, that doesn't track with the rate of inflation so I genuinely don't know what the fuck is going on. Considering prices from ten years ago are inline with the 27.99 price of today, you'd think it would be consistent, but the last time I took and economics class and learned about I flation was more than 15 years ago and even then I was probably high and thus didn't retain anything.
>>11922733Not really no. And it's not even about price. Hasbro doesn't really cater to my tastes anymore so there are little reason to buy ML this days. And even when Hasbro delivers it's usually barebone shit. Ugly faces, very simplestic designs, lack of detalization and articulation.Like one single Blokees (Invisible Woman) gave me more joy than about 20 recent Legends I bought this year. It's that bad.
>>11922777I forgot to mention, I blame the latest round of price hikes on the Jew war in Iran jacking up the price of oil. Diesel is like $7 a gallon right now. Everything you buy in the store relies on that diesel fuel to get shipped to your local place of business. We are all so fucked. Pucker up those buttholes kiddos, I hope you stocked up on ammo, guns, gear, and non perishables because it's gunna be a cooooold winter.
>>11922411I love Apocalypse and I'm looking forward to the new one, but he's never been a great character or villain. He looks cool and says cool things, but he never backs up his grandiose speeches or actually accomplishes anything. Which is why I like that they've made Kang his rival in recent years, because he also seems to do nothing but talk a lot of shit.
it's crazy how I bought Blokees Daredevil for $15 and you guy are paying freaking double lole!!!!
>>11922798The average Blokees "customer" everybody
>>11922469Oh hey, guess that whiny faggot from the last thread was wrong!
>>11922798Well yeah you bought a model kit they bought a toy, different things
Genuine question, why are people even collecting Legends anymore if they're not newcomers? By now, everyone here should have completed at least 90% of the Marvel teams out there. I finished my X-Men when Rogue 97 came out and I'm still waiting for Colossus but only because I don't want to give Hasbro my money for their retarded 2-pack tactics and because I don't want a damn Juggernaut>>11922777It's not about inflation anymore but that stupid politicians failed to do their job. Covid and the wars in recent years have not only fucked up supply chains but also increased prices for gas etc, plus put most countries at odds with Asian countries which resulted in tarif related crap
>>11922898>Genuine question, why are people even collecting Legends anymore if they're not newcomers?I only got into collecting Legends figures towards the beginning of this year and I already feel like I'm entering the swan song for collecting in general. Beast will complete my 97/TAS team and I've got most of the major villains from both shows. I'm still down for anything in that vein, like Trask and Bastion, but I don't give a shit at all about any figures based on the second of season of 97 and will probably slow down a lot if the next wave is a taste of things to come. The Spider-Man TAS figures do appeal to me though, so it's not like there's nothing for me on the horizon, but I also don't know what will really be left for me once I have a TAS Spidey and a reasonable percentage of the rogues gallery.
>privileged moron starts a trade war>unsurprisingly, prices go up and companies pass the cost on the customers
>>11922907Being an X fan really is the best at this point because they're shitting out pretty decent versions of the main X-Men. Managed to switch my Love Triangle 3 pack (sold it for 120€) for Cyclops and Jean which I think both are superior to the figures we got before. Thought about getting 97 Beast but his skin being smooth and his body looking terrible next to my Caliban wave Beast was a major turn-off. Now if they only gave us 97 Colossus, that would be it for meThought about getting into Spidey rogues a few years back but I don't really need them so I decided against that as well. If you are in need of an animated looking Spidey, you can easily get the Retro one from Aliexpress for less than 20 bucks. Same figure, not even a knockoff in most cases
>>11922908But the libs had to be owned anon!!!
>>11922908The shitty thing is that companies get their refunds and still continue to pass the initial surcharge to their customers. It really cannot be denied it's all about greed. I however do think though that people should stop complaining and just vote with their wallets. Everyone is bitching but never stopping to buy new figures
>>11922910I'm holding out hope for a classic, 97 or Gamerverse Colossus too. Astonishing Colossus looked great from what I saw and I love that run, but when it comes to all of these characters, my preference is that they generally resemble what they looked like 80s and 90s.And I appreciate the the tip about Retro Spidey. I actually managed to get the reissue preordered from BBTS, so I'm just waiting for that to come in along with 97 Beast. I also preemptively picked up the Walmart Mysterio, TAS Venom and retro Lizard, but I'm not opening them yet because it feels weird and lame to have a bunch of Spider-Man villains with no Spider-Man to fight.
>>11922915Agree about that Astonishing Colossus. He's great but without the proper shoulders, I'm not interested. First time I saw the X-Men was on a t-shirt with that famous Jim Lee cover. If Colossus doesn't look like that, I don't want him. But I can honestly also do without him since he wasn't part of the core team in X-Men TAS back in the day which was the main way I was introduced to the characters. I got the Wendigo wave Nightcrawler mainly because I loved him in X-Men Evolution but Colossus was never really the focus in any of the shows. So my main line up (Wolverine, Cyclops, Gambit, Jean, Jubilee, Storm, Rogue, and Nightcrawler) is basically complete>I actually managed to get the reissue preordered from BBTSI hate the paint app on the reissue since the shadows look really weird. That's why I settled for my Retro Spidey for the longest time. Ended up selling him in favour of the CT toys one but also sold that one because the Maximum was announced. Ended up not buying it though because it was too expensive for my taste. Thinking about getting the knock-off Marvel vs. Capcom Spidey or the Aliexpress Retro Spidey to have one back in my shelf
>>11922898They're still making figures that I want. Simple as. They checked a lot of boxes for me this year. Finishing off the Astonishing X-Men, finishing off the Dark Avengers, my favorite Thor look, the FF. There's more, but they have been really nailing it for me lately. So if they make something I still like, yeah I'll pay for it. But I'm definitely going to be more choosey and won't be upgrading stuff on a whim. I genuinely don't understand why you get so worked up about a product no one is forcing you to buy get the fuck over it. People you'll never meet in real life like Legends. Get the fuck over it and stop acting like female. It's unbecoming.
>>11922928>I genuinely don't understand why you get so worked up about a product no one is forcing you to buy get the fuck over itI understand that sometimes, it may be difficult to understand people's comments in these threads but why would you think I am worked up over this? I was simply wondering how people, after all these years, have still not completed their collection and you provided a legit answer. You should get some basic reading comprehension if you got from my comment that I was shitting on the figures. Otherwise, I would not have an ML collection, go figure>Get the fuck over it and stop acting like femaleYour comment is ironic given that I was merely introducing a simple question into the thread while you're getting way too emotional and immediately jump to false conclusions lol
>>11922917I'm completely with you. The Jim Lee and TAS designs are the X-Men to me, but Colossus isn't essential to my collection for the same reason. I love Petey Pureheart, but he's a lower priority for me too due to not being a mainstay of the animated team. That said, Kurt only showed up in like two episodes of TAS and I was willing to pay the late tax for the 97 figure, so maybe they just need to make a Colossus that appeals to me on a visual level.>I hate the paint app on the reissue since the shadows look really weirdYeah, I'm generally not a fan of any of Hasbro's attempts at cel shading paint apps and I'm glad that it seems like they just dropped it after a certain point with the Spidey figures. I wish the retro Spidey didn't have it at all, but I also don't think it looks that bad on that particular figure, so I'm willing to roll the dice and see how it looks in person. If it's not to my liking, then I'll just live with it until a better Spidey comes along. After the success of BND, I feel like Spider-Man is the one character I don't need to worry about them continuing to make toys of.I was also tempted by the Maximum though, especially when I started seeing eBay listings for 40-45 dollars. But while Todd Spidey would be a close second for in terms of Spider-Man designs, I'd still prefer something with brighter colors. Still tempted to pick one up for the web accessories, but I think I'll just get the Maximum Black Suit at some point instead. That's always been my favorite Spidey costume variant and I think the Maximum looks a lot better than their attempt with the TAS Carnage two pack.
Would you pay $30 for them?
>>11922934No. I don't buy X-Men '97 figures because of toon stilization aka simplification. All your shows styles are even worse.Maybe... just maybe I will pick some characters from X-Men Evolution but that's it.
>>11922930It's just all gloom and doom in these threads nowadays. Sorry, but it just came off as another "why do you even bother collecting Legends" kind of post where some sperg gets all huffy and puffy over the fact that a complete stranger likes something they don't. I mean look at this thread right now. Honestly, I do feel a lot of the Hasbro hate here is artificial and it just so happens to come from posts with broken English. It's almost like a bunch of Chink companies come here to shill their brands and start a demoralization campaign against their competitors. Not to say that's what you did, just the general vibe I get from this place now. Very few actual genuine posters left, and nothing but artificially generated hostility. Funniest part is it does the exact opposite of what they want, I will probably never buy a Blokees kit out of principle that their shills annoy me too much.
>>11922934>Wolverine and the X-MenNo. I thought that shit was stupid and lame even when it was new and the passage of time has not improved my opinion of it.As for Spectacular Spidey and EMH...eh, maybe, but looking that the Spider-Verse figures, I just don't see Hasbro translating those stylized designs to toy form in a way that looks any good. And even if they turned out great, I don't know if I'd want them on my shelf. I would basically just think 'hey, remember those two great shows that got totally fucked over by the retarded suits in charge of them?' any time I glanced at them.
>>11922934I feel this way about Batman TAS figures too. but I just don't think these hyper stylized designs that are made with 2D art in mind translate that well to 3D, so no I don't th8nk they'd be worth it. I think they'd come off as extremely cheap looking and their stylized proportions will translate terribly to action figures. There's a reason none of the Bruce Timm style Batman figures can stand up in anything but the most basic poses. X-Men 97 gets away with it because the looks are essentially the comic designs but slightly simplified.
>>11922939>I would basically just think 'hey, remember those two great shows that got totally fucked over by the retarded suits in charge of them?' any time I glanced at them.Holy shit, you guys are so negative. I was starting college when these aired so I associate them with that era in my life. You guys really focus way too much on the negative aspects of things. And no, I don't want everything to be some overly positive, everything is perfect kind of discussion, but holy fuck you guys sound so miserable. I'd feel bad for you if you weren't so irritating.
>>11922941I'm not trying to be overly negative. The disappointment I feel whenever I think about either of those shows stems from loving them and wishing they got the chance to do more. The disappointment that they didn't get to doesn't completely overshadow the positive feelings associated with either of them, but I am unfortunately going to think about things like SSM setting up the Jackal in season 2 and never actually getting to see that come to anything whenever I remember them. And if you think I'm bad about this, don't get me started on Tron Uprising.
>>11922949Again, I'd feel bad for you if you weren't so obnoxious. Go be a pessimist somewhere else. It's annoying.
>>11922933>Kurt only showed up in like two episodes of TASI actually forgot that until Wendigo Nightcrawler was announced and I thought about whether he was as important in TAS as he was in Evolution>but I also don't think it looks that bad on that particular figureTrue that, it is definitely less noticeable than on some of the VHS X-Men figures that came out in those cheap cartons. Probably the only Legends I can think of where the cell shading can be toleratedThe other day, I actually saw Smyths listing Maximum Spidey for 20€ but those dickheads only had it in stores and it was on the other side of the country. Would have immediately ordered him, despite that crazy-looking Peter head>Maximum Black Suit at some point instead. That's always been my favorite Spidey costume variantThat is the one figure where I truly think Mafex and CT Toys have the vastly superior figure. It just looks so lean and agile. The Maximum for some reason really didn't convince me when it comes to the silhouette>>11922938That was definitely not my intention, even though in some cases where figures are truly cheap looking, I do wonder why people (especially scalpers) would even care. But that can be said about the entire toy market when you look at how other companies fuck up their figures time and time again>where some sperg gets all huffy and puffy over the fact that a complete stranger likes something they don'tNow that is true though, people here really tend to not be able to let other people have their fun. Hell, there was plenty of Blokees hate in a McFarlane thread the other week and it was the same thing, people not being willing to accept that people like different things>and it just so happens to come from posts with broken EnglishNah man, too many US people complaining about Hasbro, sometimes valid, often enough not. Cont.
>>11922938>It's almost like a bunch of Chink companies come here to shill their brands and start a demoralization campaign against their competitorsThat's where I would disagree. I think people just like new things and especially cheaper options, even if they're a bit worse than the alternatives. Now Blokees is far from perfect but paying 30+ bucks for a McFarlane or paying 20 bucks for the Blokees Hush Batman.... even if the Blokees feels cheaper and the sculpt is less interesting, the articulation can be reason enough to prefer that version. I guess people simply weigh their options while considering what they pay most attention to in a figure, which often enough tends to be articulation more than sculptwork, at least from what I can tell
Amazon appears to finally have 97 Beast available for preorder. They've got the big Lizard back in stock for 35 bucks too.
Imagine the smell
>>11923003I'm sure Hank showers daily and smells quite pleasant.
>>11922967You can't convince me that this place isn't bottled with Chink shillbots pushing some weird demoralization campaign against their competitors. The hate for things is so fake and forced around here. In that same DC thread you mentioned, the guy shilling the Blokees Hush tried to claim it was better than the Mafex and tried to say the Mafex didn't even have boot sculpting which is just outright wrong. Funny how he never acknowledged my post showing him he was wrong. I dunno man. It just seems so incredibly artificial.
>>11920913>>11920660>Marsden faceI'm still glad his Teddy Flood action figure has the cowboy hat that is not stuck on any that James has had almost the same haircut in all his adult rules, because it's a great likeness to have to use.
>>11922733Their figures are outdated and ugly. When I see what other companies do and create I get pissed off at the fact that marvel is locked behind a company filled with uninspired workers. I don’t care if the price goes up, but quality needs to reflect it, and yet we’ll still get figures with ab crunch and waist swivel in 2027.
>>11922898Watch some talkerart vids for an idea of the teams still not made.
>>11922898Actually, when looking at prices from a decade ago, even with the current price increase to $30, it's fairly close to being inline with the inflation rate. Not quite, but closer than you guys like to think it is. Prices were pretty much inline before this latest round of price increases but like I said yesterday, I don't really blame that on inflation and moreso this gay Jew war we're in that's driving the price of gas up through the goddamn roof.inb4 you all blame whichever side you like the least. Newsflash we would be in the same situation regardless of who is running the country, all these politicians hate you and you should stop voting for them.
>>11923053Now plug in 2021 when legends were still profitable at 19.99
>>11923055Right, I acknowledged that in my post from yesterday. I genuinely don't understand why it would be consistent with prices a decade ago but not prices in 2020-2021. My guess is that they didn't include the cost of inflation until later, that's why we didn't see price increases from like 2014 till like 2022 or whenever they bumped it up to $23. I didn't retain enough from my Econ 101 class from a decade and a half ago so I can't give you an actual reason as to why this is. But, my two cents is that the rate of inflation is bullshit and just some arbitrary number that's decided by the powers that be, because fuck the common people amirite?Tldr; inflation is bullshit so believe whatever the fuck you want.
>>11923055Fun fact, when you look at the inflation rate from 2016 to 2021, prices are still pretty much inline.
>>11923055Acutally, when you plug in $22.45 or whatever $20 in 2016 money translates to to 2021 money, and you convert that to 2026 money, it's still pretty inline with inflation. Again, this latest batch of price increases is because of the war. So maybe it is fairly consistent after all.
>>11922997Not interested in Beast but dammit, despite my not usually caring about prices, it does hit hard seeing how I paid 20€ for Beast a couple years back and this one costs 45€ on Amazon and other sites. At least reviewers are being positive about the figure itself>>11923006I mean you mentioned it yourself, different people love different things. You know yourself how negative people (or as I call them turboautists) can get. Is it a surprise for you that someone who might have a hateboner for Hasbro and suddenly sees a cheaper variant of the character would consider the cheaper option? I think you are mistaking delusion or love for the alternatives with people being shills or pushing demoralisation campaigns. As for the DC thread, I wasn't the guy claiming Blokees was better but I was one of the people saying that Blokees are a fun alternative, albeit being flawed as wellIt's not as complicated as you're making it seem. People just like to flock to the cheapest solution that is at the very least okay in quality. Of course that will sometimes lead to people imagining the alternatives are better, especially if they don't have the superior versions, but that is very common in this hobby
>>11923011I wouldn't go as far as saying they're ugly because there are tons of great designs. And they also do integrate more modern articulation as time goes by but, in my opinion, too slowly. The biggest plus for ML is that they actually cover a huge array of characters which you would never get from any other company. No matter how shitty the quality can be, Hasbro's output in terms of Marvel characters is unheard of>>11923053I don't really care about the base prices desu. What I do find annoying though is that specific characters are labelled as Deluxe right now which were standard figures in the past. Beast is a prime example for this as I stated earlier. And then you obviously have the two-packs with pricing going all over the place. Also, look at Maximum Releases. I bought War Machine for 30€ (I think he was originally 35€) and that was a Deluxe figure. Why introduce Maximum if Deluxes like War Machine or that one Black Widow release were already a thing?
>>11923078Forgot to post the pic. This right now would count as a Maximum release with all the accessories it has. No need for Maximum if Deluxes already exist but that's just my opinion
>>11922897a model kit is a toy. i dont know why would think that it isnt lol. any snapfit model kit is a toy
>>11923075I mean, I do get that people like Blokees, it's just when you see people say stuff like "it's better than the Mafex" when it doesn't even look better than the Mattel version. It's fine that people like them but holy shit the level of "hype" for some of these things is beyond delusional. I felt the same about CT toys. People here praised them like the next coming of Christ and when i got a few they ranged from Ok, to outright bad. So I dunno.
>>11923078>I don't really care about the base prices desu. What I do find annoying though is that specific characters are labelled as Deluxe right now which were standard figures in the past. Beast is a prime example for this as I stated earlier. And then you obviously have the two-packs with pricing going all over the place. This is actually a pretty good point that not enough people bring up imo. They do consider what is essentially a regular figure to be a deluxe now and that's insane. Spider-Man figs I feel get the worst of it. 97 Beast at least comes with a similar amount of accessories his previous deluxe version came with I give that one a pass. But you're absolutely right about this. >>11923079Yeah, when you break down this release they probably would consider this a $50 Maximum figure now. Glad I grabbed it when I did, I'm just forever scared of the thigh swivels disintegrating, I've read online that that has happened and I've had it happen myself to a few figures with the swirly twirly plastic. I grabbed the retro carded one a while back when it was on sale just in case though.
>>11923096I think the mistake many people make in these threads, probably also on the internet in general, is to engage too much into discussions like that and to discuss opinions (sometimes even facts) to death. In terms of looks, everyone has their own opinion so I never really bother as far as that goes. When talking about articulation, sometimes a mere screenshot from a review helps far more than texting for an hour straight>the level of "hype" for some of these things is beyond delusionalWhy do you feel hype is delusional? It's just people being excited for something they're looking forward to. I always appreciate when people are hyped about things, it means that there is still reason enough for the hobby to exist>>11923101True, the new Beast really does have a few more accessories than my non-retro Beast. And now that I think about it, 97 Beast could be a bit larger>I'm just forever scared of the thigh swivels disintegratingIs it possible to just heat up the figure as a measure to prevent this from happening?
>>11923112>Why do you feel hype is delusional?Delusional wasn't the right word to use. Disingenuous is more of an apt description.>Is it possible to just heat up the figure as a measure to prevent this from happening? It's not even a matter of them getting stuck and trying to force them to move. It's more of just the way that swirly twirly plastic ages. It just kind of disintegrates. I had the thigh swivel on Kind Serpent, I think it was, and I pulled it out of a box for something and it just fell apart. Then my older Spidey 2099's hip just fell apart one day when I picked it up off the shelf. Both weren't a big deal, I only got King Serpent for the BaF piece and by the time Miguel broke, he was already destined for the fodder drawer as I already had the Mafex on pre-order and it was only a few months before the Mafex came out.
>>11923060>>11923062You're a Hasbro employee doing damage control. Marvel Legends still sold for 19.99 in 2021, then went to 22.99. If you actually plug 19.99 in as the 2021 price the 2026 price comes out as around $25
>>11923129Yeah I don't understand that myself. It works out with prices from a decade ago so I don't know what else to tell you.
>>11923120>Disingenuous is more of an apt descriptionNah, I really think you're underestimating how hyped people can be. Hell, look at the MCU. I think the quality is dogshit 80% of the time but that doesn't mean that fans who still love every movie are being disingenuous. They merely pay attention to different things than I do when it comes to quality. And that's totally fine because everyone has the right to enjoy what they like> It's more of just the way that swirly twirly plastic ages. It just kind of disintegratesFfs, then I can only hope that doesn't happen to War Machine and Modular Iron Man. Could it be related to the figures being stored in colder conditions though? I can imagine cold environments leading to the figures disintegrating easier than warmer spaces with a bit more humidity>>11923129Nta but are you sure about ML being 20 dollars in 2021? I remember prices during 2020 increasing all over the place due to the shitty restrictions happening and Hasbro was rather quick to adjust their prices because of it
>>11923141>Nah, I really think you're underestimating how hyped people can be. Hell, look at the MCU. It just feels artificial to me, but whatever man. >>11923141>Ffs, then I can only hope that doesn't happen to War Machine and Modular Iron ManI've only heard it happening to War Machine and not Modular. I'm planning on grabbing the Spiral 2 pack sooner or later to replace mine because the proportions are better though.>>11923141>Nta but are you sure about ML being 20 dollars in 2021? I remember prices during 2020 increasing all over the place due to the shitty restrictions happening and Hasbro was rather quick to adjust their prices because of itNTA but Google says the price went to $23 in April of 2021.
>>11923141Yes, I remember Xemnu wave as 19.99 and that's still a 2021 error. According to actionfigure411 and my memory the price increase happened during 2021
WOOP THERE IT IS!
>>11923174I voted for this
>>11923174Fuck me it’s unironically over
They could include two swords with this fucker but not 97 Kurt?
>>11923183It literally isn't. There will always be people who buy in. I'll slow down and not grab as many random upgrades or impulse purchases, but I'm still going to get four of the new X-Men 97 figures, I've been waiting literally years for the Grant Morrison costumes, a $2 price increase won't deter me from them.
>>11922934good thing I never wanted any of them.guess I'm sorry for all the Pre-MCU fags that have nostalgia for those bad movies
>ships april 2027the cock said 2027 will see the price increase. second year of tariffs btw. hope you got all the X-Men you wanted.
>>11923206We already saw the price increase
>>11923203It isn't just a 2 dollar price increase. It's 2 on top of 3 on 2 on 3. 10 dollars total in 5 years.
>>11923251Anon if we're judging by that measure, it's almost doubled in price since I've started buying a little over a decade ago. I jumped in when figs were still like $15. Welcome to inflation, welcome to life. It sucks.
>>11923253This is not how things were in the 00s
>>11923258i dont know how to break this to you anon, but a lot has happened in the 26 years since 2000.
>>11923258We're as far away from the 2000s now as we were from the 80s in the 2000s. Time passes, things change, everything gets worse. The 90s were even better than the 2000s if you could believe that little zoomie. You'll be alright.
>>11922934I'd pay triple for Wasp
>>11922665Who came up with this "A New Era" slogan? Is this intentional demoralization by announcing a "New Era" just being a higher price?
>>11923174People will just keep buying the figures even at $30 right? They would buy them at $40, wouldn't they? $50 too. Perhaps the real Maximum line was with us all along.
>>11923174$30 for waist swivel, hinged wrists, no ankles an toe hinge. wow total jada victory
>>11923300I mean, I'll be buying less. I won't be making nearly as many impulse purchases, and I won't be grabbing any minor upgrades. I've already been cutting back over the years but it won't stop me from still grabbing my faves. I'll grab the Morrison suit X-Men for sure since I love that run, I shelled out for the omnibus years ago.
>>11923293It's from the Star Wars team. They've redone the packaging and a few other things about Black Series figs so they're calling the launch of this newest wave "A New Era". The screenshot that was posted here was clearly using the "A New Era" title from SW and applying it company wide.title. Look at the fonts, they're different. But that's what it's from.
>>11923321I'm down to absolute essentials and nothing more. No more side looks like black and yellow Magik. No more cartoon stuff unless it aligns with a necessary comic look. No MCU.
>>11923329To be fair, I will admit most of my recent impulse purchases were impulse purchased because the figures were on sale. Obviously this price hike won't affect my willingness to purchase sale items, but that's kind of beside the point. Like I grabbed a bunch of X-Factor members a few months ago, all at cheap prices, so it's not like I'll stop impulse buying altogether, just at MSRP.
>>11923343Problem is sales are pretty fickle, it takes effort to track them and sometimes they just never really get low enough that they're worth it.
>>11923352I mean, it's almost always an impulse purchase when a figure is on sale for me, always found by happenstance, I'm almost never outright seeking these particular figures. So yeah, sales aren't as frequent as they once were, but I usually buy a bunch of cheap figures two or three times a year when they're all discounted.
The marvel legends Reddit is imploding
>>11923410Why?
>>11923421The price increase
>>11923428Will they finally see that the only way is to quit buying? That is the only input people have to a corporation. Whether you buy their product or not. That's it. If someone buys a Marvel Legend for $30, they de facto say it's worth it by their actions. When they buy one of those MTG pack ins for $40 and try to justify it, they told Hasbro it's worth it. When they buy a $75 2 pack, they tell Hasbro it's worth it.
>>11923433Ok. I'm still gonna buy the Marvel Legends I want though. It's not like they're going to change the price even if we all stop buying.
>>11923410i mean to be fair for what you are getting for 30 dollars.. is not worth it. especially comic figures that will have no deco or textures. All figures will have only an extra pair of hands and a niche accessory. Also they will still keep on using that shitty waist swivel instead of a proper ball joint torso.
>>11923174something looks off with Beast…
>>11920208what are the chances they get boo’d when they announce the new prices?
>>11923477It's pretty wild how dumb you guys can be. The streak he's talking about happened days ago. Jesus...
I never bought whole waves so price has never been an issue with me, how could it be with anyone? I'll get what I want and I refuse to believe people don't share this sentiment.as for being "priced out", full blown hypocrisy. collectors and reviewers pay premiums for imports with worse QC issues than Legends, they'll pay for things that aren't even action figures, they will even claim to start new collections right after the last company lost a license, but now that Legends had a price hike they're suddenly priced out of collecting? fucking stupid and disingenuous.I have no sympathy for misers.
>>11923559I agree that the pricing out shit is bullshit. ever since it has gone over $25, every purchase of an ML should mentally register as a $30 purchase. the only difference here is you cant buy a candy bar when checking out. a price increase does suck but wake me up when it goes over $30. it's gay as fuck that ML's are costing the full $30 but this outrage is a little too late and should've been voiced out $10 ago
>>11923434Not trying to be mean but you've never been working in a product- or service-oriented company then. If consumers stop buying in B2C, then the business has to make choices to get consumers back to buying. Ultimately, there's four options I see if consumers tried to vote with their wallet>better marketingImpossible in this situation since you can't do shit to combat a decision like that>increase the prices even furtherEven more retarded since it will lose you even more customers>Reduce prices slightlyA solid win-back opportunity but only short-term because prices have to increase sooner or later>Better productsProbably the best and sustainable approach. All-around better articulation, better paint apps, and MORE accessories. Just make every main character a basic figure but with Deluxe-type of accessories and people will eat that shit up like candy.BUT, to be fair, Hasbro is not in the situation where their customers are smart enough so no need to do anything
That new Magento has changed dates like 20 times for me. Seems like I get a email weekly from Amazon about it. Wonder if it'll just get canceled?
>>11923559I think the difference is that in general, most imports offer many accessories (many not that interesting), slightly to vastly better paintjobs, and much better articulation. That alone is argument for many to mainly buy imports. Not for me but I still get itAs for the part regarding McFarlane losing a license and people making the switch, that's also understandable since Mattel for example has a different scale and already looks way better in articulation than what McFarlane did. And before you get going, I won't make the shift because I already completed my JL team with McFarlane and see no chance in them releasing the same character variants. But let's not act like making the shift to Mattel is the same thing as being priced out by the same company you have been supporting for ages>>11923605That's the thing with collectors, they all talk the talk but never walk the walk. They have money to buy hundreds of figures but oh boy, do they turn ballistic when they have to pay another 5 dollars per figure. I for one have no sympathy for collectors in general since I have seen too many people addicted as fuck to figures without any sense of money saving skills. Plus, I've had plenty of people buy figures off me at such a massive surcharge that I lost hope for any type of rational behaviour in this hobby
>>11923475Probably designed with AI.
>>11923608I had that with some figure or figures a couple of months back. I think it was the Amazing Spider-Man that was announced last year and Amazon changed dates like 3 times. But I get the feeling that even with other online shops, it's kinda the same thing. Dunno whether it's Hasbro related or just the current market in general though
>>11923559I'm with you as far as everyone overreacting about the price increase and calling this the beginning of the end. The want for the toy is pretty much always going to win out with everyone that's predisposed to collecting. But I don't really think outrage is purely due to having to pay an extra two bucks per toy, I think everyone is just pissed off about the cost of everything going up needlessly and this is just where that ire is getting directed today. It still sucks shit, but it's ultimately just a symptom of the larger economic issues everyone is dealing with right now.
>>11923627It's not even that hard to shut up collectors, that's the thing that bothers me personally with what Hasbro has been doing. Improve the standard bucks for all figures once, put in those extra two shitty hands and at least one solid accessory for every single character and people will stop complaining. Simple as that. In the short term, it might mean costs in the couple of thousands but that should be no problem since they won't have to improve their figures for the longest time
>>11923607When in the history of man has this ever actually worked? Don't forget, were not talking about necessary goods. If no one buys these things they'll just stop making them lmao.
>>11923559Fucking this. The outrage is so disingenuous. The same people throwing a fit will be pre ordering the next wave like usual. It's all so performative.
97 Beast is currently available on the Target site with a 10 dollar off promo and BOGO 50% off with a few other new Legends releases.
>>11923477That's why they DONT announce new prices. You just find out by rumors or when the figures get put up
>>11923605The outrage was voiced each time the price went up and each time it fell on deaf ears. The only voice they understand is if people stop buying. >>11923605Who the fuck buys $5 candy bars? I don't even know what candy bars cost, I'm an adult, I don't eat candy. That shit will rack up your dental bills.
>>11923685Brushing your teeth and basic dental hygiene will prevent candy from rotting your teeth. Also, voting with your wallet isn't going to decrease the price or make the product better. These are nonessential goods and if people stop buying them they will simply stop making them.
>>11923693No, it really won't. The bacteria start acid production as soon as the sugar hits your mouth and brushing 3 times a day and flossing will mitigate the effects yes but some damage will be done over time despite that. Also if hasbro gets out of the Marvel figure business because they are too incompetent to make figures at a cost people will tolerate there can always be someone else to get the license instead. Perhaps that is what many of us desire.
>>11923710I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you want options for higher end Marvel figures they exist. Legends exist as a world building line. Like, if I just wanted iconic looks of various characters, I'd just buy a Mafex or something and call it a day. But with Legends we get all sorts of niche characters or one off looks that would never get figures anywhere else. Sure, maybe Jada or Storm or some other company can make slightly better figures at a slightly better cost, but you'll be stuck with the same handful of characters over and over again. And it'd take decades just to finish off one team. Jada is a perfect example of this. It's been what, two years since they released the first Scooby Doo wave and we still don't have the main 5. Or what about my Cyberpunk 2077 loli they've been teasing for like two years. I got the other figs like a year ago. Storm I'm not as familiar with, but from what I can tell they're not that different. It's been asked before, but can any of you even name another company that will produce the level of figures the Legends team does at the quality they do? No one has yet. Sorry, but I don't want a line that produces the same characters I already have access to just at a slightly discounted price. Legends has gotten more purchases from me this year because they make figures of characters no one else will. Dark Avengers Hawkeye, Outback Psylocke, ROM, Astonishing X-Men, Coipel Thor, Aja Hawkeye, and the list goes on. Storm or Jada aren't going to be making those characters. Mattel has the DC license and quite frankly they seem to be on par with Legends. Lol McFarlane wishes he could fuck up the Marvel license as much as he did DC. The license isn't really what NECA is about. What company out there can match Hasbro in terms of quality and quantity? If it exists I'd love to know what it is.
>>11923710Also, if candy is rotting your teeth out even when you brush multiple times a day, you might have an underlying issue that isn't necessarily caused by eating candy. Normal people's mouths don't rot away just because they had a Snickers bar.
Mess Toys stopped being gay and went back to Marvel yet? Need my Green Goblin.>>11923174lol, lmao
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST
>>11923685just brush your teeth dude. every food rots of your teeth if you dont brush. also, if youre paying 27.99 for a figure, your brain should register this as a 30 dollar purchase unless youre a woman and youre really counting pennies. you pull 3 $10 bills and pay it and grab some candy bars and dont deal with spare change.
>>11923434good goy keep buying that slop.
>>11923721If world building is what you want then you should be ok with hasblo putting every character on buckycap with a new head and different paint apps. That is what your asking for hastard.
>>11923758I will thanks. I actually get joy from these toys so this isn't the insult you think it is.
>>11923761Picture this: a peasant lives in kingdom Hasblo and on every thursday of the week the king gives him 1/4 loaf of bread for 4 shekels. Sometimes, very rarely, does he give a 50ml bottle of honey alongside the bread. You enjoy your bread and honey because that is all you've known. Meanwhile the king has, one would say infinite, amount of food locked behind his castle and now he raises the price to 5 shekels without increasing the amount of bread the peasant gets. You hastard, are the peasant in this story.
>>11923760Oh piss off. Just because I want world building doesn't mean I'm ok with an antiquated figure. Stop being such a fucking butt baby about this. You want a higher quality Wolverine than what Hasbro has to offer? Great, pick from the AY, SHF, Mafex, Mezco or any of the other options you have. No one is sitting there with a gun to your head and forcing you to buy Elsa Bloodstone or any other Legends. Stop acting like Hasbro is your only option for the evergreen characters, because it's not. Sounds to me you're just a casual who only passingly cares about these characters. Sorry, but many of us are actually happy we get niche looks like Aja Hawkeye or Cat Beast. Deal with it bitch.
>>11923766Oh please bitch. You act like I've never owned or seen an import figure in my life. Truth is, I mix and match. I got a bunch of import Spideys, some X-Men, Daredevil, Punisher, Cap. Sorry that the fact that I actually like Marvel and thus want figures beyond Wolverine, Hulk and Spider-Man bothers you so much. But fact is, you have all the options in the world for your Jim Lee X-Men or Spider-Man or classic Avengers. Is any other company going to make Marvel Boy from the Dark Avengers? Or Crystar? Or a fucking nearly 2ft tall Sentinel that I can have my X-Men fight? No, they won't. Again, don't like, it don't buy it. You have plenty of Jim Lee Cyclops you can choose from. Now kindly fuck off you fake fangirl, your opinion counts for less than nothing.

>>11923605Marvel Legends "pricing out" complaints are indeed pretty disingenuous, but I will say that with Transformers, seeing a $47 Studio Shockwave or clear, Tron-looking Megatron around and up of that price DID price me out, because damn, even if I'll spend $140 on an exclusive 30MS girl model just because it's cast in neon green, doesn't make me think paying that much for Transformers that are clearly not worth that much valid. One's a nice exclusive, the others are just shitty, poor quality control Hasbro figures.
