Not a ton going on with TMNT, but there are still releases happening from various companies!Mezco dropped their One:12 Foot Army Builder pack (Cartoon Version) for $225. It's on waitlist already, if you think you like these bibbed boys.

The Playmates movie turtles pack is apparently showing up in China ready to go.
On the 8th for the Wal-Mart Collector Con, you can pick up the black and white Usagi Yojimbo and Leonardo 2-pack. The catch is there are four slipcovers, Autumn, Winter, Summer, Spring. And they each have lower and lower edition sizes, come with Japanese wrapping cloth, coins, Hanafuda cards, and original art etc. No clue if it's a random pull or what.

>>11914526
>>11914528
Also NECA has gotten the final samples for the 2012 Splinter, Casey, and Metalhead (meaning they should start shipping soon!). Notable change being Splinter now has a soft goods bottom part of his robe.
>>11914532
>>11914534
Pics outta Shanghai of stuff from Lingjihun, Heat Boys, Rage Toys etc.
>>11914574
>>11914576
>>11914506>Rise is my favorite anymore>it will get nothing because we all hate it>if it gets anything, it'll be NECA
>>11914578
>>11914580Why would NECA do it? They know Rise sucks too. If they DID do it, they'd at least do it justice. >>11914581So far the companies that have the license are able to finish into 2027, but have to reach out and see if they can resecure the license. Same story with everyone else so far.
>>11914580NECA is good so what's the problem
Rage Toys Samurai Force Not-Raphael
>>11914586Newfag here, will this Slash be a regular release of a WF exclusive?
Anybody know if JoyToy could reissue Slash? Can't find it anywhere and I just grabbed the truck and the turtles, trying to not go to ebay right away
We're also getting two packs of the 88 toys one last time with battle damage.https://toyhabits.com/tmnt-cowabunga-forever-1988-classic-figure-2-packs-first-look/And the remastered turtles from the Target 6 pack (with smooth skin) are getting reissued in solo boxes.https://toyhabits.com/playmates-1988-remastered-tmnt-single-packs-reissued-with-smooth-skin/
>>11914516So are the original 88 turtles on cardback.https://toyhabits.com/tmnt-movie-5-pack-1988-classic-figures-re-release-early-look/
>>11914535where's the extra hands? did they charge people upfront with the promise of them and then just... not make them?
Dead brand.
>>11914743It wasn't NECA needing the turtles, it was the turtles needing NECA?
>>11914625They seemed to be doing footsoldiers again recently so maybe. Hope you get one anon, I got lucky with a local place in my country still having one in stock.
Speaking of JoyToy, I bought this Forge Knight cape for Shredder because his cape was the one thing that I never liked. It's not perfect but it makes the figure more fun to handle. The seams look less noticeable in person.
>>11914598Regular.
>>11914758The whole TMNT resurgence is in big part to NECA doing the cartoon line. That was a HUGE reinvigoration to collectors and the brand. They wedged the door open and that allowed others to partake while Playmates whined.
>>11914796Nice, looking forward to him
>>11914521The Usagi looks sick in B/W..>>11914526>>11914528>>11914525None of these look bad but I'd prefer the Autumn box. Glad I don't collect these, I'd have fit worrying over which box I might get.
>>11914586Bad ass.
>>11914511They must have been watching a different cartoon than I was.
>found out Mezco did the turtles>but only a single package containing the 4 brothersI mean I get it, they're a team, but I only need Raphael, oh well.
>>11914765that cape looks nice!>>11914763I'm going to keep hoping then. Good to know they made stuff recently and didn't fully abandon TMNT yet
>>11914534Oh they better keep the Cheese Phone. I swear to god if they get rid of the cheese phone I will cause riots.
>>11915373
>>11914535>>11914731This wrist joint frightens me with how small it is, I doubt I'd even try to swap the hands if they gave you the extras.
>>11915387No riots...For now. Maybe a fun riot later.
>>11914662>And the remastered turtles from the Target 6 pack (with smooth skin) are getting reissued in solo boxes. They knew what they were doing when they sold the rough skin ones. They knew people would rebuy
>>11915394It won't be an issue. It's no different than stuff like the Puppet Master figs.
>>11915600Better be careful then.
>>11914535Where are the big gloves? Those are a big part of his 2012 design…
>>11914535Also hold on, they changed how they did the hood and it’s worse. Now, he has a permanently down hood, so when he’s wearing the hood on his head he has too hoods? What? They couldn’t do some sort of swap out if they had to change it? Bizarre design choice.
>>11915679Looks more like its a separate piece and the photo guy didn't know
>>11914535My only concern is how thin the arms look. Like, you better have a stand and a stable display area for him.
Given the merger will porbably add them to the DCU and how the entire fate of the franchise relies on the next live-action reboot being sucessful, what are the chances of Mattel dumping the turtles into DC lines?
>>11915978Bigger than them dumping them in like, He-Man or Street Sharks or what ever else they own toy rights to.
>>11915716Nah, if you have the 2012 Foot Soldier it'll be no problem. Those fuckers have thiiiin legs and ankles but they stand great. They're solid.
>>11915667I'm not a hamhands, so I'm good, thanks.
>>11916049Still going to display him on a lower shelf. Then again, I've had an X-Plus 90's Godzilla's thigh snap when it took a tumble off my bottom shelf.
So no more Joytoy? :(
>>11916642Not until companies are able to start licensing it again. It'll be at least a year, it sounds. Unless things change up.
>>11916686:(((
>>11916642What characters were you hoping for anon?
>>11916767Not him, but at least a Baxter Stockman and General Traag would've been cool from them. Mondo Gecko even.
>>11916769Fly Baxter or 2003-style Baxter where he’s modular and you can display him as a human or a fucked up cyborg?
So when might we see some stuff at NYCC? If we do.
>>11914511What about the Mirage looking foot soldiers that are shown on the Splinter promo pics?Heck, when is Mezco going to ship shredder and splinter?>>11914662didn't the smooth skin vintage remasters have less details than the frog ones?
>>11917649Define "details". The bumpy skinned ones had all those extra weapons and accidentally swapped Leo and Don't heads.
>>11917649>What about the Mirage looking foot soldiers that are shown on the Splinter promo pics?Mezco says fuck you
The black and white Usagi and Leo sets are up, range from $100 up to $300.https://www.walmart.com/ip/Official-NECA-Usagi-x-Leo-Collector-Set-Winter-Edition/21083607942?https://www.walmart.com/ip/Official-NECA-Usagi-x-Leo-Collector-Set-Summer-Edition/21033474062?https://www.walmart.com/ip/Official-NECA-Usagi-x-Leo-Collector-Set-Autumn-Edition/21056920554?https://www.walmart.com/ip/Spring-Usagi-x-Leo-Collector-Set-Limited-to-250/21050471278?I personally snagged an Autumn.
>>11917668i remember comparison pics probably from /toy/ they removed the veins IIRC perhaps other stuff>>11917790damn, but casey jones the original one was also exclusive to a con and eventually sold on the website. But man i don't remember them looking so ugly, at the current cost i might have to skip both of them.Kinda hope mezco still releases something else, an April, Krang, Karai, who cares, something else
>>11917867>damn, but casey jones the original one was also exclusive to a con and eventually sold on the websiteKeep in mind they only have a few months left of having the license, so there's no telling what they'll be able to do there.
>>11917852These boxes better be hand drawn and colored by Stan himself instead of mass production printing.
>>11917852>$100 2packlmao
>>11917876>>11917879They come with original art, Japanese wrapping cloth, coins, hanafuda cards, and are numbered by Stan. Don't know what you're crying about.
Does anyone know why Neca seemed to exhaust every possible option for releasing The Last Ronin figures except for doing fucking Oroku Hiroto, he final villain encounter and battle of the book? It's like they were dancing around it, even moving on to the continuations first.
>>11917915Because they weren't expecting the license to get sold off like it did, nobody was. The Last Ronin line was a huge seller for them and that's why they were able to do all they did and even jump into the new Turtles.
Ollies has Battle Shell and the...big "cartoon" turtles from Playmates. Somehow. Don't know where they pulled all those from.
>>11919441Looks like storage shell Raph got his teeth capped. Baba Booey.
i figured we'd see something from Mattel
>>11919590Might be too early still. It took them a long time to start showing off DC stuff so I figure we might not see any turtle stuff until next year.
>>11914516i was so hoping super7 could do these.. so many memories.>>11914765yeah, visible stitching is... never a desirable thing in figures. he just looks like he's wearing a giant napkin. Glad you could get an alternative, let us know how he looks once you install it.
I will never not want movie 2 splinter. I've been trying to figure out exactly what made him different, maybe think about customizing my own.. he definitely either trimmed that beard or brushed it all down under his chin so it integrated into the neck fur, his brow fur seems much more full, his fur's less scraggly overall, and his eyes way less tired. I doubt I could make that last one work especially.
>>11923510oh, and his robe got sewed upalso I'm realizing the tears happened partway through the first movie, when he was chained up, I think. it was more intact at the start
>>11923508B-but anon, the napkin is my choice! Haha the one on the left is what he comes with, and I've just never been a fan of plastic capes. That was a bad pic though, picrel is more what it looks like to the eyes under normal lighting.
>>11923578ohhh... well I do agree that plastic capes are kind of annoying for a bunch of reasons, but.. I almost always eventually go to them. The number of good softgoods I can name on figures is like, three, and they're all Splinter. (the original Splinter's robe was fucking perfect, like a microfiber cloth so it actually flowed)
>>11923581Yeah I can understand why people prefer plastic, especially for photographs. I just find wired capes make the figure fun to handle and pose. And yeah I agree that splinter was a great one.
>>11923578I like it, where'd you get it? I don't see it on their new site.
>>11923674Hmm got it from aliexpress but when I checked the store, it's gone now.
>>11917893so the packaging is important and a part of the product?
>>11924340Not really. But I'd love to hear you cry about boxes some more.
>>11924340>important and a part of the product? It's trash around the toy. Only a schizo would cry about packaging.
>>11924420>>11924620we're literally talking about a toy where the packaging is a major selling point. it even costs more depending on which one you get!
>>11924634>it even costs more depending on which one you get!Which has nothing to do with the packaging. It's the physical art from Stan and other accessories, signatures, etc are what push the cost higher. You dumb asshole.
>>11923578The Super 7 shredder came with both a rubber and a wired cape which was pretty cool. Splinter also came with a rubber a cloth robe.
>>11924679>Which has nothing to do with the packagingthe packaging is literally different for each one! it's an important part of the product! they point it out themselves!!
>>11919441My fucking Ollies just has Marvel Legends figures with a THICK layer of dust.
>>11924917It doesn't matter at all. The higher prices are for the actual art from Stan you retard.
>>11925096they all have actual art! and different packages to go with it!
>>11925294God damn you're dense. Brick walls understand things better than you.
Super7 teasing a new figure
>>11928368Doesn't make sense if it's Slash, Hun turned into the 2013 series equivalent of Slash in the Turtles Forever movie and looked nothing like that.
>>11928368how the...>>11928370yeah it must be a what-if.
>>11928369troll>>11928384its this
someone's salty neca lost the tmnt license.
>>11928416oh dear..are they gonna do the ragged belts, too? making it more sinisteralso whyyyyyyalso, that's not even the right eye shape. this eye shape looks more like the 2012 turtles' goofy look.
>>11928416i don't even remember the context here.
>>11928623Because you're not a real fan
>>11928683i haven't rewatched it since 2013-ish. it's funny, at the time, that felt like AGES since the show ended, now it's been significantly longer, and that was only 10 years old at the timethough, I was also rewatching the '87 show. I did a whole marathon of that entire thing, then 2k3, because the 2012 show had disappointed me so hard, so I was rebelling.
finally got Leo and Donnie WF Exclusives
>>11929130Very nice, I was just loading up the Nostalgia review
>>11929130who makes these turtles? looks awesome
>>11929130Gross
>>11929130Mike's cheek-flanges bother me
RIP Tiger Claw and fat worst Splinter
>>11929647I forgot he voiced fat splinter. RIP.
$260, limited to 1,000 pieces. Lame as fuck.
>>11929911randulf lost the tnmt war his fate was seal when he stomp on the gentleman agreement he lost, karma has done him in brian curse him for all superfans randulf lost
>>11929928Shut the fuck up
>>11929911I have no words.. their skin tones aren't even right.God I miss the good days of s7. But part of me wishes I'd never bothered so I'd have a few hundred extra bucks.
The giant (ankle biter sized) TMNT figures that NECA put out are showing up at Ross. Take your nana shopping on a Tuesday and get it for 10% off.
>>11930519what kinda tiny babies are you putting out if they're the size of 15-inch action figures?
I feel like they told my to fuck myself by making Donatello Dial-Tone in the Joe crossover line. There are plenty of other tech specialists on the Joe team that don't work with technology that was already on the way to obsolescence when the toys were new, and don't have greasy pedostaches. Why didn't they cross him with Mainframe or Hard Drive? People that didn't pegwarmnfor the entirety of the 80s?
>>11929928i miss the days of the gentleman's agreement, before everyone got too big for their britches. sad how greed corrupts everyone once they taste a little of that attention and money
>>11930998I miss the days when you took your meds
>>11930821Mainframe is too grayscale and who the fuck is Hard Drive? You might as well named a background GI Joe that appeared in the live action movie of Snake Eyes.
>>11931187Greys make other colors pop. Considering how shoddily crossover toys tend to treat Donnie's (Dracula? Ultimate fucking Warrior?!), why not cross Don with a guy who's associated with a vehicle, considering he tends to be the driver. He could be Clutch or Crankcase. I'd almost accept Toll Booth, since he's associated with building things, AND you can put a sledgehammer on either end of the bo.
>Leonardo Da Vinci was a known inventor and artist.>It's the turtle named after Donatello Versace that's the tech guy.
>>11932765look, they ended up fucking making up nonexistent japanese names for characters, be glad these were even real
