Dang, only Wave 1 is available at the moment? I thought they would've been further along than that. I haven't been paying attention too closely, I just remember seeing these figures discussed ages ago. Since this line is still in progress, I assume there's going to be a Wave 5 with Velma? Hopefully the monsters will be the Black Knight and then either the Phantom Shadow/Green Ghost or the Ghost Clown.
    >>
    >>11912687
    I'd pre-order McDonalds Guile in a heartbeat.

Only if the make Ronald too
    >>
    >>11912687
the McDonald's Bison really works well
    >>
Did anyone buy the Flintstone figures? I'm tempted by them but I can just tell they wont scale with the Mattel 90's movie toyline. Also, question to the thread, what licenses would you like to see Jada nab next? I believe they could really ace the Dreamworks pantheon. The first wave could focus on Shrek, Po, and Hiccup and from there they could expand to the other major titles until they complete the core casts of the golden age films. Once you get the Shrek or HTTYD casts out of the way, you could move onto Madagascar or Megamind.
    >>
    >>11912705
The releae has been glacial. Scooby was shown off 2 years ago, the preorders went up 3 months ago and nobody has the figure yet. The gap between Shaggy and Scooby will be over a year. We are looking at 2030 for Velma at best.

3 is still nowhere to be seen
    >>
    >>11913241
i GUESS one could say scooby's whole quadrupedal thing kept the wave tangled up in limbo. considering wave 3 is just 3 bipedal characters again it might come out before the end of 2027. not getting my hopes too up though considering i heard something about cutler being glow-in-the-dark

So Jada managed to kill any hype for their figures by taking so long to release. Good.
    >>
    >>11912163
    >Wave 4 - Fred, Zombie, Headless Horseman
Uh oh. I hope the line survives past this wave. Fred is likely the best candidate for least popular Mystery Inc. character (Scooby and Shaggy are the stars of the show, Daphne and Velma are the waifus), while the Zombie and the Headless Horseman are fairly plain, generic monsters. They really should've paired Fred with monsters like Black Knight, Green Ghost, Redbeard, 10,000 Volt Ghost, or Tar Monster. Villains that were more unique and visually striking.
    >>
    >>11915300
At the very least it's getting to wave 5 with Velma. After that... I'd have to think theyll go where the money is and abandon Scooby. Or who knows, maybe it'll live in the background with occasional figures. I do agree that we should be getting flashier monsters, but who knows, maybe Juhn or whoever is hitting their personal wishlist.

Funny that the best they could think of for Velma was "different shade of orange." Also, while I'm sure the intent was that so you would subconsciously connect it with Red Shirt Shaggy, did Scooby EVER have a red collar in ANYTHING? I don't think I've ever seen Scooby-Doo wearing anything other than the iconic turquoise collar.

I think the line is indeed in peril after the main gang is done, it needs to rely more on Scooby alts I think.
As far as easy repaints I think red shirt shaggy will just be a con exclusive. Scrappy somewhere along the line either as an exclusive or an accesory with say flimflam or someone like that. I think it's possible they do Scooby Dum & Yabba Doo since they could use Scooby's parts. The problem with the line is everything pretty much has to be a new sculpt.
I don't see them making figures of random characters from one movie, exceptions for perhaps the iconic ones like say Zombie Island but even then its relevance has faded over the years. I can see them doing the Hex girls (but which version of them?), Vincent Van Ghoul, not many recurring characters or iconic ones if you only go for the classic era.

So is Jada even showing off stuff at NYCC?? I've been out of the loop but very annoyed their stuff just isn't coming out.

Scooby Wave 1 came out July 2025 and we still don't have Wave 2. EE delivery says February 2027??? 1 year and 7 months between waves??

Invincible is still missing, and the SDCC exclusive is expensive plus there have been many QC issues people have had.

What the hell is going on with them? Are they having financial troubles? Aside from a few Street Fighter things, have they released anything at all in 2026? Waves just keep getting pushed back further and further every couple months.
    >>
    >>11918467
Pretty sure Juhn just said he didnt want to go on the toymigos show around sdcc. I think it's as simple as they go through multiple iterations. They were definitely dealing with issues with the implementation of the new smoother articulation, I'm pretty sure Juhn talked about it a bit. They definitely went back to iterate after the exclusive Mark came out with a few issues, so theyre probably just trying to iron out the issues before release. All figures outside of SF2 stuff that has yet to release uses the new joints, so it makes sense theyre all delayed together.
    >>
    >>11918518
Interesting. Who knew a little joint change could derail an entire small company's output. I just saw Mattel is not using that style of joint on their new DC Collector line even though they used a similar one on the He-Man Collector stuff. I wonder if it's more difficult for the factories or if they figures it wasn't worth the trouble too?

I can't think of any legit company (I don't count guys like Premium DNA as real companies) with a previous long record of successful products to have 1-1.5 year long delays on multiple figure lines all at once. Small companies like Boss Fight take pre orders and sometimes you're forced to wait like a year for the stuff, but they're small and that's a made to order type of thing. Jada is a bigger company and had tons going to retail.

i suppose it is just jada, then. the smaller companies make a little more sense, considering they're selling you the concept first and the figure gets manufactured during that pre-order period.

Those thigh swivels ruin it. It kinda woke on Mika, but cammy just looks way off. Needs more rifining to look more seamless. Looks like shes wearing tigh high flesh boots.

I can’t help but be disappointed with Jada. They had the opportunity to really secure a niche as a lower-priced alternative for a lot of the IPs they have and their early output was super solid (I’d argue their more cartoony stuff has always been good) but they’ve just sat on or trickled out so many of these new IP waves and their commitment to specific aesthetics is questionable at best. I have a specific gripe with all three of the molds I’ve gotten from them that doesn’t ruin the figure but kinda solidifies why they’re on the lower end of the budget and quality spectrum.

Jada has completely fallen apart. Multiple lines now have like a year ad a half waits between their last wave and the next one. That's fucking crazy! One of the only things they did get out this year was the SDCC Mark that was breaking left and right for people.

Yes. Repaints can be thrown into production and finished much quicker than stuff with new tooling. Tooling something totally new and doing the tweaks back and forth can take many months. It's clear they are having a ton of troubles with all the new tooled figures this while year which is why almost all of them are being pushed back months and months into 2027.

Ryu’s face is super awkward and there’s lots of articulation hidden behind rubber clothing, Cammy’s faces are both bad and the twintails warp, and David’s headsculpt is also bizarre and I don’t understand why they went with the roided out version over his original design.

    >>
    >>11925388
Fair point about Ryu, and yes, my whole post is about my opinions of my figures that make it less likely for me to get a new release in the future.

Don’t get me wrong- I think Jada’s price point is good for what they put out, even though they’re very slow on following through with much of their announced stuff. That’s the thing that hurts them most. My personal gripe is that outside of their Western properties that have more cartoony proportions and faces, I’m rarely satisfied with their head sculpts.
    >>
Some years down the line, I wonder if they will do something silly like a 10 pack of new heads, equipment, and hands to hold them, or just put a Decapre head in with Juni and Juli since she is the only other Doll who ended up playable.
