i got the classified one but the todd's offering actually seems better for once, the classified version comes with a lot of shitty nu-raider accessories where todd's has classic ones
that said both of them are pretty shit figures for the price, maybe the chinese will make a good lara one day

I'm sticking with Classified provided Amazon actually ships mine. I have only been happy with a modern Mcfarlane figure exactly once and it was MK11 Spawn. Every other fig I've gotten from Todd has been some degree of disappointing. Plus 1/10 is a dead scale.
    >>
    >>11910465
Hard to compare against a render but then again we only have promotional picks for the classifieds.
We will see once the figures are out.
For what it's worth McFarlane one seems to have bigger tits and doesn't look like reboot Lara. Classifieds almost seems like nu Lara Cosplaying Lara Croft
    >>
    >>11910465
Hasbro. McFarlane sucks, and the figure won't look good -at all- once it comes out.

I'll wait to see how she looks in hand, but the McFarlane wins for me since she'll scale better with the rest of my non-Japanese video game figures. Most importantly Nathan Drake, who I was planning to display the Hasbro Lara with.

    >>
    >>11910465
    Most likely neither.

McFarlane has more guns but is short on other accessories. Like I don't miss the bow but the grappling hook and rope would've been nice. I don't know what that little black thing next to the single red hook thing is. Also, it's in McF's weird scale that isn't going to fit with anything once his DC line is finally done.

On the other hand, the Hasbro is a bit marked up due in part to accessories I'm never going to use and is sold out anyway.

As an aside, this reminds me a bit of when the first ML Rogue (from Hasbro) suddenly went nuts on the aftermarket and people were buying the Marvel Select version to cope. Again, it was an OK figure on its own, but it didn't fit with much else.
    >>
    >>11911024
there are plenty of other 1/10 toylines like mythic legions, neca, storm collectibles, it isn’t some unheard of scale where she won’t scale with anything else but it is a bit more limiting
    >>
    >>11910465
Both. Already pre ordered the Hasbro and it looks good so I'm glad. The McFarlane also looks good, I'll wait till we see the actual figure to decide which is better but I'm going to get it for the accessories, since the Hasbro doesn't come with the Shotgun, Uzis and Flare. Would be cool if we get a battle damage Lara at some point.

    >>11910815
That looks great! The artwork looks awesome too, can't wait for mine to arrive.
    >>
    >>11910465
The Hasbro one sold out so fast it crashed BBTS. The McFart is literally still available almost 24 hours later. That's all you need to know about which one is better. The game was won before it even started.
    >>
    >>11910465
The McFarlaine version looks better even though articulation points on bare skin always look like shit.
    >>
    >>11910971
They don't own it. CD does. CD produced a massive debt for Square-Enix with their shitty nu-Lara trilogy, then raised the money to buy it from Square-Enix sot hey own it now.

Yeah it reeks of deliberately sinking the property so they could take it.
    >>
    >>11911135
That's because it's a render. McFarts almost never end up looking as good as the render.
    >>
    >>11911142
Still, I'm not buying the Hasbro one simply on general principle of paying that price for a $27 retro-card.
    >>
    >>11911139
this is not really accurate, square sold it off because they wanted a bunch of money to spend on blockchain and NFTs (yeah it worked out as well as you would expect) and tomb raider was among their least valuable IPs because they had unrealistic expectations for their western studios, but it didn’t actually put them in the hole
    >>

The biggest problem with Tomb Raider is it's owned by people who actually hate Tomb Raider. They see the property as something that needs to be "reinterpreted for a modern audience." So getting anything out of the CORE-era games is pretty much impossible.

Michael French was brought in as a consultant on the line only to get stonewalled and lectured every step of the way by CD execs who made it clear to them that they're not going back to the Core era. They're going forward with 'Unified Lara," which is just nu-Lara in classic Lara's clothes.

Now that we're finally getting Lara figures, they will eventually make a Classic Lara figure right?
Also boggles my mind how both Hasbro and MacFarlane have a useless alt head and they both lack sun glasses.
    >>
    >>11912441
I think it's possible. The remake is coming soon, so it makes sense they'd push merchandise for that first. Maybe see Catalyst figures before Classic. I hope we get something from the Asian companies.

It's not happening. CD has killed classic Lara. Their focus is now remaking the original TR games while removing everything that offends them with the original ones. That's what "unified Lara" is.

Got the Hasbro one which is fine but given how the McFarlane version has more firearms, may also pic her up
Still waiting to see if she'll have knee joints or not.
    >>
    >>11916434
She'll have knee joints. Also, I don't get why people are so hyped about the extra guns. Personally, I have an entire 1/12 scale arsenal from various figures I've collected over the years. Mezco figs in particular always have a ton of guns so if I need an extra I just pull from one of my Punishers or Deadpools. I'd much rather have the more unique accessories that the Hasbro one has and then just give her my own guns later. If you've been collecting for any reasonable amount of time you'll have a plethora of weapons available.
    >>
    >>11916143

The Toybiz Lara originally had cloth shorts and a belt with holsters. There were also several guns and 2 bat figures. Jada has some balljoint waists that do better crunches than some ab-crunch MLs. It just depends on how good or bad the engineering is. Hasbro sometimes screws up ab-cruches to where they only get a ratchet and a half.
