    This is a continuation and generalization of the 4chan archival dumps / Yuki.la archive dump threads.

    Post torrents, scrapes, and dumps of imageboards. Discuss any idiocy from archivers and sites, so that others can work on taking better charge and preparations for imageboard data to persist into the future.

    4chan, thread dump:

    Replies to this post might be torrents posted in the previous thread in a certain format.

    Attached pic: the old 4chon was excluded from web.archive.org. The new 4chon currently isn't excluded:

    Furry porn basically means anthro, and anthro basically means humans plus other things. In the furry meaning of "anthro", it's a human form plus otherness in the form of animal things (mainly physical or visual characteristics). Furry pornography mainly focuses on the form of a woman (as futanari or not). Human-animal hybrids are nothing new in human history. Consider centaurs, depicted in 575 to 550 BC.

    Multiple files in 4chan_gif_2026_07 were lost: 1% to 5% of them. This is due to ZFS corruption (with no corruption reported by smartcl, I think). The zpool corruption may have happened as a result of a brief power outage.

    The files are "totally inaccessible" and unreachable by GNU ddrescue:
    >$ utc; ddrescue -r3 /zd/4changif/test.corrupt/wBmd4RM7y2m-ikzIj8iqPA /zd/4changif/wBmd4RM7y2m-ikzIj8iqPA /zd/4changif/wBmd4RM7y2m-ikzIj8iqPA.log; utc

    >xxd: /zd/4changif/test.corrupt/wBmd4RM7y2m-ikzIj8iqPA: Invalid exchange
    >$ # RIP

    The folder "test/" (renamed to "test.corrupt/" in another HDD) = the current folder for 4chan_gif_2026_07. The folder is corrupted:
    >$ find /zd/4changif/test.corrupt -type f | wc -l
    >find: ‘/zd/4changif/test.corrupt’: Invalid exchange
    >7185
    >$ # This is why you keep logs.
    Should report tens of thousands of files, not just 7,185 files.

    All of the files in "test.corrupt/" are basically logged in these files: "cronlog2-2026-07.fix.txt" and "4chan_gif_2026_06.tar.txt.gz".

    >You should have had better redundancy
    Fuck you. Pay me. >>1403735
    >>
    >>1404188
    Out of 12444 files:
    - Invalid exchange error on 110 files
    - Input/output error on 1 file: /zd/4changif/test.corrupt/_k-qCGvMUcf16zndRvy_kQ
    - Empty files which shouldn't be empty: 24 files

    Attached is a ddrescue'd version of said I/O errored file:

    Disregard that, I'm pretty sure I know what that is (related to said 7,185 files).

    >Anyone here use hydrus network? Great booru scraper but having issues with cloudflare being a nigger
    I very much so dislike cloudflare (CF) and the sites that choose to use it. Only less than 1% of sites using it use it in a not-so-crappy way. Like comparing a turd with a polished turd. Website archive.4plebs.org uses CF in this way: blocks all Wget / curl / browser connections or makes them complete a verification or captcha. Only exception: archive.4plebs.org requires no verification / captcha for when web.archive.org saves its webpages or images.

    So instead of the hydrus grabber failing when it hits a CF wall, it could do this:
    1. hydrus trying to download image/data from a booru
    2. CF wall hit, but the site doesn't block web.archive.org (WBM)
    3. hydrus requests the same URL from Wayback Machine (WBM)
    4. if it's been captured before, download it
    5. if it's not been captured before, request that WBM save it
    6. download the new capture from WBM after one minute to one hour

    The size of this torrent is like 100 GB. IPFS splits the largest file in that torrent (a folder) into chunks. Each second-level IPLD block has a size of 182,452,224 bytes. The first 348 of them are linked in this text file ("broni.txt.gz"):

    >>
    This is the hover folder of the /hover/ board that started on old 8ch in 2015
    It contains most if not all of the images posted on the board, snapshots taken periodically throughout its time between 2015 and 2019 of the index page, every thread as it exists now on 8kun (in a 7z file) and various content related to the board. Its the folder of the board owner of /hover/, presented as is at this time

    The /hover/ board, the hover folder and content in it is safe for work and overly large files were removed and linked to in text files to reduce the size of the torrent to make it easier to share. Unfortunately the folder is a bit of a mess and could be better organized but it is what it is, maybe someone can organize it better later

    The size of the folder is around 7 GB, there are a lot of files, pictures, web pages, pdfs and some videos

    So to clarify, the itorrents.net / itorrents.org sites are compromised, but the torrent file you used in that instance is okay? As in if you only open the magnet link without using those sites to get a torrent file?
    >>
    >>1404283
    >itorrents.net / itorrents.org sites are compromised
    Yes, by someone(s) internal or external (original team or not). (itorrents was associate with LimeTorrents before this.)

    >but the torrent file you used in that instance is okay? As in if you only open the magnet link without using those sites to get a torrent file?
    Yes, more info below.

    If you download the .torrent file via a BitTorrent client, then it follows the rules of the infohash having to match the data.

    If you download the .torrent file via an HTTP site, then it doesn't necessarily follow the rules. (Like using an IPFS gateway vs. IPFS directly.)

    For example, this is legit (it's a movie via an I2P torrent):
    magnet:?xt=urn:btih:232e72eba6c55c0bfedb2ee8a11f14f26498414c&dn=Skinamarink%20%282022%29%20%5B1080p%5D%20%5BWEBRip%5D%20%5BYTS.MX%5D&xl=1790460432&tr=http%3A%2F%2Ftracker2.postman.i2p%2Fannounce.php

    and this is crap data:
    >$ curl -sL https://itorrents.net/torrent/b6b53efe52a78ee3e1570a3a9462e616241c81ff.torrent | sha1sum -

    >07aefc9fe3d1c74e54753b1af4a28b9c5b97d745 -
    >$ # same hash, so also 40,660 bytes

And a set of imageboards for the discussion of the site’s articles, the Western Imageboard Culture, and for other topics. But in the future we want to provide a comprehensive thread archive database that you can submit threads to, we’re going to add movies related to the community, complete press coverage history and analysis, and more… We want this website to the electronic gathering place of sorts of channers of all types and walks of life.
    OK, so maybe I could send some of my 4chan data to them.

    But why "Yotsuba Society"? Perhaps because the default theme (CSS) of 4chan is named "Yotsuba". The default theme in 2chan (what 4chan is/was based on) is named "Futaba". More on "Futaba": OP pic.

    First 4chan /f/ thread that swfchan.net has is from
    2008-12-31[1]

    which is basically 2009. The 4chan board /f/ ended on
    2025-04-14[2]

    and I've been downloading those threads + images + outlinks for more than one month now.[3] If a torrent of this is created, it would be named "4chan_f_2009_to_2025_in_swfchan.net_warc". (I think TLD domain names like .net can't contain an underscore.) swfchan.net not only contains the threads, but also thumbnails and images of the SWF files!

    Attached pic is an image which I think is from some imageboard. It has a filename of "1591319300298.jpg" and has been archived.[4]

    In the past I think I had a situation where I had to install something from a set of files. No instructions or useless info, so after asking duck.ai and following that chatbot's instuctions, it worked.

    From me quickly looking at it, seems you do something like this:
    $ cd ./pl_usenet/przegladarka_src/usenetarchive/cmake/
    $ cmake ..

    >>1404425
    (I could look for some proof that that site has /f/ threads from all years between and including 2009 to 2025.) As for when the download will finish:

    >99377:https://swfchan.net/40/B7LVFLU.shtml
    This means that the input file has 219,762 lines, and a recent WARC is at line ~100,000. So about 15 days left.

    Before running the cmake command, you need gmime-3.0 installed:
    $ sudo pacman -S gmime3

    OR, if you're running Arch Linux like me, then it can be compiled / installed by running:
    $ cd /mnt/p4/t/pl_usenet/przegladarka_src/usenetarchive/arch
    $ sudo makepkg -si

    The incest tag isn't visible at

    pages, but is visible at the corresponding

    web page.

    The images tagged as "incest" aren't deleted as of yesterday, that might change afterwards.

    rule34.xxx has always been an deletionist website ran by untrustworthy booru.org. I think rule34.xxx never allowed "lolicon", they mass deleted all IRL porn which was in that site, they cave to whatever artfag tells them to take down their artwork, etc. History of rule34.xxx is stupid as I just said, and they're greedy turds who don't care about being an artwork archive. In one of the halftime shows of that 2024 4chan Winter Cup:
    >Ricardo Milos - Ricardo Shock
    >Song: System Shock Remix OST - zircon & Jonathan Peros - Ethical Constraints Removed
    at 03:37:33.350 to 03:38:51.867

    This matters because the versions of that in YouTube are all age-restricted or if not age-restricted, low quality video:
    https://megalodon.jp/2026-0918-0610-19/https://inv.nadeko.net:443/search?q=%22Ricardo+Shock%22

    Someone commented "Lost media" on the low quality version:
    https://web.archive.org/web/20260917210900/https://hadzy.com/videos/AY6zs7yrQb0/comments

    It's just a funny meme video, and here's the higher quality version cut out of said "Winter 2024 Ro16.mp4":

    To address part of what you're saying: it's not all porn or MLP-related. For example: /gif/ torrents contain thread JSONs. And of the things that are porn or MLP-related: some of it is artwork, so that's valued more than other forms of content.
    >>
    if you've scraped gelbooru at any point you better make sure to prune the shit out of it. jannies are slow :P
    >>
    >>1405386
    Then download my grab of 4chan /f/ via a WARC of swfchan.net: it's usually far from being porn or MLP. It has a size of around 100 GB and I hope to share a torrent of it here in the next 3 days.

    >>1405457
    I don't mass download Gelbooru; I hope other people do (and they do it the right way). The only Gelbooru torrent that I know about is a text-only API copy: >>1404070

    (As for hentai/anime images, there's a torrent of the joyreactor website here: >>1404176 .)

    4chan /f/ - 2009 to 2025 in swfchan.net:

    magnet:?xt=urn:btih:d0a5d1b676c01b5c600f3a3351189e0e61183c36&dn=4chan_f_2009_to_2025_in_swfchan.net_warc&xl=164621495448&tr=https%3A%2F%2Ftracker.onetracker.net%3A443%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.torrents.observer%3A80%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.opentrackr.org%3A1337%2Fannounce&tr=http%3A%2F%2Ftracker.city9x.com%3A2710%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fmail.segso.net%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.acg.gg%3A2710%2Fannounce

    .torrent file:
    https://ar15.omies.space/raw/jtpY1r1p6Rj0uMafFolK_XsnvbnGoiiHCHwY4CTzKgI

    Contents (it took about 2 months to download these more-than-a-million files):
    - 4chan /f/ threads and data
    - SWF files
    - Webpage raws
    - WARCs with outlinks
    - URL lists

    IMPORTANT: If you don't care about WARC files then you can just download all files labeled "rawsset" (65.0 GiB); after extracting, it contains one HTML file per URL. Raws set should have everything that was downloaded. The Web ARChive files are in the files labeled "warcset" (88.3 GiB). WARC set contains 98-99% of the downloaded URLs that "rawsset" contains, but in WARC format (very useful in various systems/software and it is a web archiving standard).

    == Why ==

    The 4chan board /f/ shutdown in 2025, only archives of it remain and no new posts can be made. Let's make sure that archives of /f/ are as complete as possible! (swfchan.net continues to exist and be updated as of late 2026.)

    == Data re-creation ==

    Everything is split into reasonably-sized files. Each ZIP is smaller than 2 GB, and after extracting, most files are smaller than 200 MB. These ZIPs are in TorrentZip format. This means that -- if you don't are about seeding -- as long as you keep a record of which ZIP files contain which files, you can extract them and delete the around-2-GB ZIP. The around-2-GB ZIP file can later be re-created identically from the set of files/paths/data with 7-Zip and trrntzip.

    More info: see *-info.txt in the torrent

    In the past two or three months I've seen like two peers download all of this >>>/mlp/ torrent, which is cool, but we need more data replication for this! One of the reasons that this torrent contains useful data is much of it is non-existent in shitty MLP boorus like twibooru.org and ponerpics.org. The https://ponerpics.org/ booru is worse than Twibooru now because Ponerpics added a CF wall. So far, no captcha/verification crap in https://ponybooru.org/ - but sadly, I'm pretty sure that Ponybooru respects DMCA.

    - I'd have a copy of this "4chan_gif_2025_11.zip" file in IPFS in another storage device, but I'm not sure about certain things as of now. Maybe later.
    - I fixed the audio on my Dummy Output audio sink "auto_null.monitor" by running 'wpctl set-volume 64 1.0 # set to 100%, was "vol: 3.70" which is 370%' (louder than 1 = can have bad audio clipping). Run "wpctl status" in Arch Linux to see audio info. This is useful for HLS video playback if the default audio interface doesn't work with ffmpeg.

    Correct. I'd like to clarify before some retard flips his shit at me for "moralfagging". It's not my thing, but I don't care. It's just the hypocrisy. In a few of the abortion_by_cock posts there are users posting explicit comments like "Yeah, fuck that baby into paste!" The aged_up tag means nothing for the majority of images it's applied to, by the way.
