    I'm uploading to my seedbox now, so it should be fully downloadable within an hour or two, just be patient. Gaps in the video numbers are where the course is referring to the course notes.     It's free and open source which is a big change compared to Unity, Unreal, etc. Those game engines aren't bad per se, but you're at the mercy of the parent company for updates, features, and support. FOSS means if there's a feature missing, /you/ can be the one to implement it. It's also super lightweight and runs well on lower end PCs.

    GDscript is the language that Godot uses and it's similar to Python, so it's pretty easy to learn.

    I've only been playing with Godot for a week or so, but I've already made some primitive games using the above courses. The fanbase can be pretty fucking GAY though.

    To add to this, there's been a big push to adopt godot over Unity lately because Unity has changed their terms and conditions. Not that godot is particularly the best platform from a programming perspective, but it's the best free platform available, and widespread adoption means that it will improve over time.

    OP here, the quality of these Mammoth Interactive tutorials seems like ass so I'm less enthusiastic about getting them all scraped as it's a rather tedious process. I'll still get them eventually, but in the meantime, I made a full archive of a collection of Godot tutorials and game theory videos assembled into a playlist called "Godot University". This is all 24 videos with subtitles and assets / project files. I archive a large amount of videos as you never know what's going to be gone the next time you look for it, enjoy!

    Chinese/ Korean accounts post unity vfx reels on YouTube that are a cut above the rest. One of these accounts mentioned that they followed a course from cgpjoy. It's a Chinese website, but the courses there are miles above any English vfx course out there. We can probably use ai to translate them and follow along.

    I use both krita and gimp myself. I could use a few guides on it as well. tho I always found it to be a decent thing to use for both pixel art and textures. As long as you have good pixel art skills and know how to use the noise filters. it comes out pretty decent. I always found using noise filters on the lowest settings to really give pixel art a more realistic feel.
