>Sports team raises ticket prices>Crowd experience gets worseWhy is this the case literally 100% of the time? Why isn't there a single instance of the average joe being priced out and the stadium atmosphere improving?
>>158421878Fold the chargers
Poor people are noisier and more boisterous than rich people
It’s illegal to not raise pricesThink of the shareholders
>>158421965I don't think a single sports team is publicly owned in such a way. Like I can't buy Packers stock on the exchange
>>158421965Every purchase of a team is covered by debt loaned out from banks, those are the shareholders you have to think of
>>158421980Who owns the owners?
>>158422064Those who you are not allowed to criticize
I don’t think a crowd of violent football hooligans would be more fun than a crowd of politely applauding nice people. The reason people got crushed at Hillsborough was because football fans belonged in cages back then. That’s not good atmosphere. It’s better now.
>>158421965well, it is, since that federal judge from delaware stated that CEOs are obligated to do whatever it takes to make sure the shareholders would not be harmed
>>158421965i think it's because the chargers are terrible and barely have fans in LA lol. also there's this thing called a resale market. why would someone who already bought season tickets keep the price high and not sell them for a huge discount on gameday to recoup some money?
>>158421965>>158422198the chargers are a private company though so none of this applies to them
>>158422256It’s owned by a businessman who are all inherently greedy and follow the same mentality as the companies they own
>>158421980atlanta bravestoronto's big 3 are all owned by the same phone companycomcast owns the flyersmsg has knicks and rangers>>158422256just because a company isn't publicly listed it still can have multiple shareholders who are still entitled to reasonable management
>>158422887the company that owns the raptors/leafs/jays/tfc/etc is owned by rogers, you as a shareholder of rogers dont get to tell that holding company what to do. rogers doesnt even disclose the teams finances to their shareholders. they arent really publically owned, your shareholder votes dont get to decide shit about what their teams do.
>>158421878I remember /spuh/ back around 2015, when Liverpool fans were protesting increases in Anfield tickets, and the Americans were enraged.>HOW DARE YOU, THEY PROVIDE ENTERTAINMENT AND YOU COMPLAINThey didn't seem to understand the concept of a sports club being a central part of an Urban community. They got real quiet after LFC backed down.Anyway, since then, St. Louis Rams has become L.A. Rams.
>>158422928my vote would be >laffs
How passionate you are as a fan is directly related to your success as a person. If you are a poor or a kid then you live vicariously through your team because dont have a lot going on otherwise. The more successful you are the less you have time for sports because careers take up a lot of time and energy
>>158421878Many "normies" have the weird tendency to see everything as a way to flaunt wealth or status. That's also why social media is so popular, partially at least. Quite a lot of people will want something expensive just because it is expensive. Fashion for example. That desire to own expensive things also applies to poor people (that's part of why they're poor), but I think it generally holds true and plays a role hereIf the tickets get more expensive, you get more of these people. Logically speaking, raising prices means the number of people able to afford tickets decreases, so the potential pool of loud people decreases as well. And of course a working-class dude is more likely to be loud and enthusiastic than some tourist or some streamer or some VIP box guy
>>158422992what an odd thing to seethe about for 11 years kek
>>158421878I refuse to believe that anyone, even Am*ricans, are that mind-boggingly stupid unironically. The OP is satire.
