there's nothing else to this "sport". it's plateaued and there will never be an evolution to it. no wonder fred flintstone likes it so much

They have different oil patterns so the shots aren't the same; there's strategy to each frame. If you watch the pros they alternate lanes per game. You also have different wood characteristics to each lane. The professionals make it look easy because they've done it hundreds of thousands of times
>>
Jason Belmonte evolved the game with his two hand throws. There will come someone in the future who will find that 1-2% difference and revolutionize the technique

Professional lanes have much less oil too, making it harder to score in the first place

Wait, this is a thing?
Traditional "bowling" here, the direct precursor to bowling as you know it, is called Kegeln and played with nine pins and balls without holes
The holes allow for a lot more control, though, don't they? I never expected people to not use the holes
>>

The balls aren't balanced on the inside
>>
>>158401026
I once beat my friend by throwing a strike and turning around to stare him down before it even hit the pins. Told him why does he think he is I am.

I'm convinced it's the greatest and stupidest sport in history.

Darts has been like this for ages and yet it evolved in recent decades, with players massively improving on average. (To the detriment of soul, as always.)

why isn't this sport solved yet? Surely you could just beat an autistic slavic or chinese kid into an adult who gets 300 every single game
>>
All the sports are just "try to do the thing repeatedly" but because thing is difficult makes it worth watching

I hope you’re happy; you’ve just ruined all sports for me forever ;_;

Literally every sport can be reduced to something like this.

I find repetitive activities calming. 208 average.

Bowling leagues are enjoyable IRL communities of nice ugly people.

No sport has a better movie than bowling

No sport is better to play on a Friday night drinking beers with your bros

how future generations will push bowling mechanics past Jason Belmonte's thumb-free, two-handed approach?

Bowlers who grew up watching Belmonte are starting on his techniques earlier, trying to refine his footwork, leverage, and bio-mechanical efficiency and continue to push ball speed and axis rotation higher through improved athletic training,

The Big Lebowski is overhyped, but still better than Kingpin.
