wtatv have sent me an uncharacteristically heartfelt apology about the stream outages. I will accept apologies if they commit to fixing their broken vibe coded mess. Vibe coding isn't even the appropriate way to characterize it. I'm certain if i dumped their code in to an LLM it would fix the majority of streaming bugs. Their primary issue is a glitch involving the way the bespoke player handles buffering and dynamic bitrate adjustments. It will run out of the tiny buffer it's set to (which the user cannot adjust), it scrambles to drop bitrate to maintain the stream, freezes, buffers, freezes, drops to 240p, freezes solid until user refreshes the page. That is a fixable issue but they don't seem to care to bother.

i wound up watching some of world table tennis championships on youtube this afternoon. they have a unique ceremony with the paddles. the janny brings the paddles out at the start of the match in these padded pistol cases. it's unclear why. the players have their own specific paddle so it's not like it's a standard tournament thing where they must use identical ones. the ceremony continues with each player inspecting the racket of the other. now i want to see the ump come out to a tennis match with the rackets in big racket shaped pelican cases
