I was diagnosed with anxiety in the '90s. In HS and uni every chick I knew had a benzo prescription. I have never been allowed benzos, I'm almost 40 now, 30 years of going to psychs. Why do psychiatrists prescribe only SSRIs, SNRIs, and antipsychotics now?The only downer accessible to the average person now is alcohol. Benzos are safer long term than alcohol, SSRIs, or SNRIs.Serotonin has been proven to not impact happiness, and SSRIs / SNRIs work by flooding your brain with so much serotonin and noreprinephrine that they kill off your natural structures. Why is psychiatry okay with this? None of the drugs prescribed for anxiety today work and they all cause brain damage (SxRIS) or parkinsonism (antipsychotics). Why are drugs that work for anxiety basically banned for men while the drugs they do prescribe don't work and cause permanent brain damage?Should I just do heroin, which has zero long term side effects and actually works for depression and anxiety?
I know these feels.Lifelong anxiety, depression and chronic pain.Idiot doctors only ever prescribe ssris and crap. Which is only poison to me and only ever made everything worse.Meanwhile the few random time I was given meager opioids for urgent acute pain like dental work or broken bones, it was so clear how even a mild dose of opioid completely erased all pain, anxiety and depression And I felt like I could behave as a normal functioning person.Nothing relieved anxiety and depression like even a mild dose of opioid.Of course it's the one thing they'll never give you for it.Forced to suffer this hellish existence
>>17082776>Benzos are safer long term than alcohol, SSRIs, or SNRIs.Yeah, sure thing, having a risk of dying from an epileptic seizure if you taper off too fast is definitely safer than SSRI/SNRI brain-zaps.
>>17082902/thread lolall of these drugs suckalso>heroin>zero long term side effects
>>17082776Beta blockers can be helpful. They don't really treat the anxiety but instead the surge of adrenalin some people feel when they become anxious, which in turn can lower the anxiousness because they start to know they're not going to be all shaky and stuff when they're in situations where they're going to be anxious. I would take them at university because being around lots of strangers would make me really nervous and it helped with that
your anxiety probably comes from poor performance but therapists are trained to try treating every symptom with separate medication, you probably need stimulants to get you competent enough to stop feeling anxiety, but you need to do the work to change your environment and apply yourself towards something you are passionate about or something risky
>>17082776They get bonus paymeny from big pharma for every SSRI they prescribe. I fell for it. After taking an SSRI for five days, I developed permanent tinnitus. Now I live a miserable life where I am unable to do any task that requires more than 30 seconds of concentration or deep thought, means STEM carrier went into the trash.
benzos are really insanely dangerous ive seen a girl light herself on fire while on them, you might even kill 3 of your kids and not feel anything lmao
