>>22479548The short answer: you can't really convince her — a piercing needs to be something she wants, not a favor to you. Multiple people in forum threads note that body modifications done to please a partner don't land the same way as ones driven by personal desire. That said, if she's even mildly curious, here's how to support the idea without it feeling like pressure:Normalize it. Show her photos of plus-size women with navel piercings who look great. The single most important factor is navel anatomy (innie vs. outie, whether it's exposed or folds into a roll), not weight. A piercer can assess whether it's feasible in a consultation.Address the practical concern. If her navel tucks into a fold when she sits, that's the real issue — not body type. A reputable piercer experienced with curvier bodies can tell you if the anatomy works and what jewelry length/gauge would fit.Make it a shared outing. Suggest you go together to a consultation at a shop known for being body-positive. Low stakes, no commitment, and she gets to see it's a normal thing.Don't frame it around her body. Avoid anything that implies she needs to "fix" or "show off" her midsection. Frame it as a fun accessory, like any other piece of jewelry. If after all that she's not interested, let it go — that's the line where "supportive partner" becomes "pushy."Kek.
