Admit it. You tried learning Japanese at one point and gave up after a week
>>85867979Stop standing outside my house at night
This but Finnish and is was one night
>>85867979Yes, but with French, not Japanese.
>>85867979I expect an apology expeditiously
Nah. I can read. I'm the language autist who was born just in time for Grok to do it for you.At the risk of NDA-breaking, though, you can thank me for that too.
>>85867979I've learned english, french, german, latin and ancient greek
>>85867979I learned Hiragana and Katakana but stopped there.
>>85867979fuck japanese and their stupid language, equally goes for any shit skin in any area of that backwards region. they also read right to left like a certain semitic group. coincidence? I'll leave that to the expert racists
>>85868471Japanese are too autistic to simply choose one direction to read everything
never but i've tried french tho. dated one french girl and one slovakian french speaker
2 nights of russiani go back on and off japanese depending on whether I want to read manga.
i live in south koreafor us, japanese is the easiest foreign language to learn and vice versa despite this, i cannot speak a single word of japanese, nor have i even tried to learn it; like most other south koreans, i cannot read chinese characters at all, and i simply find the prospect of learning them too tediousfor some reason, i would like to learn russian or spanish, but knowing that i havent even been able to master japanese the easiest foreign language for mei dont even consider attempting to learn russian or spanishi think i have no talent whatsoever for learning foreign languages
>>85868586The Japanese writing system is completely retarded. Do not blame yourself.
>>85868586You already seem to know English, other European languages should be easier then.
learning a language largely depends on context and immersion and need and all that family shit you're seething about too
>>85868607hmm how should i put thissince the japanese characters is based on the cursive style of chinese characters, i am reminded of chinese characters every time i look at japanese its almost suffocatingi have heard that there are so many chinese characters to memorize that even native chinese themselves dont know a vast number of them>>85868612i am not surethe only reason i wanted to learn russian and spanish is that i am planning to travel to russia and latin americai have heard that most people in russia and latin america cant even speak basic englishi know that russians are kindly toward south koreanshowever, i have heard that latin americans are hostile toward asians but i don't know why
>>85868674You should be less worried about racism and more worried about scamming and mugging in Latin America
>>85867979shi ne froggo
>>85867979German, actually. I only did it cause my mother wanted me to and paid for classes. Idk why I'd ever want to learn that language.
>>85868415good job anoni peaked n3
>>85867979No, I didn't. You need to learn these: English, Sanskrit
Never forget what is going on.There is nothing going on.This world is all illusory.
>>85867979I started 'taking it seriously' in 2011, and eventually passed N4 in 2015. I should've stopped, but I'm going to take N3 for the 5th time this year.
>>85868998howd you do it? im interested in your story
>>85869043Well, I started with the Genki book series, but was also taking Japanese at a university-level (pretty basic) online, but then in-class after I transferred back stateside. Going through the books, finishing the Beginner and Intermediate books by Tuttle Publishing, interning for a Japanese company for a year, and doing the in-person classes which were more speech-focused (and we used materials that hadn't been updated since 1985), I finally passed N4 on my third attempt. I then proceeded to fail N3 four times, and N2 two times, not taking it in 2020 because of the pandemic, and not being able to take it in 2024 or 2025 for 'reasons.' I've had better access to study materials now, and I've been using them consitently. I'm more confident in my ability to pass N3 this year, but I still need to work on Reading Comprehension and Listening Comprehension. 2015 Was my peak, so I've been doing it solo ever since.
I tried for a few months and now have to pretend to know less than I do so I don't accidentally out myself as a weeb
>>85867979nah, I tried to learn Mandarin, but the first phrase they tried to teach was how to hit on a Chinese woman and it gave me the ick also I never leave the house, so who give a fuck.
>>85867979I took a class on it in college for one of my GE humanities requirements and it kinda just made me hate the japanese desu. The only other language class my university had was Russian and this was during the crimea stuff so I didnt wanna learn that
I gave it up after 5 minutes.
>>85867979I never tried learning Japanese.
>>85868469This but I only learned hiragana. Also developed a disdain for their culture in the process. I still remember saying on /v/ that somebody should just make a full japanese course in romaji and they'd make bank because people only want to speak it and understand verbal japanese, then 2 weeb faggots had a melty
im sure i checked it out at some point and also the polyglot marathon
>>85867979>a weekA week? I studied japanese for 2 years by myself when I was between 14 and 16, I even learned 2k words and lots and lots of kanji and grammar.I still remember most of it, I will study Japanese again some day.
