I want to lose 80 pounds by Christmas or New Years. I'm 5'7", my current weight is 240 lbs and I want to be 160 lbs. What do I do or what should I do? I've already started eating small meals, drinking a lot of water and walking. Also I'm thinking of taking up swimming. Lust provoking image for the feeling you were here...
Get some calorie counting app to make sure you are actually eating the correct amount
>>85861892>80 pounds in two monthsEasy. Just stop eating.
>>85861898Calorie counting seems too micromanagey for me. I've lost tons of weight before through lifestyle changes, notably when I went from about 230 lbs in 2018 down to 159 lbs in 2023 (a very slow, gradual weight loss, not a faster cut like I'm attempting now) and I managed to do it just fine without tracking my calories.
>>85861910I don't want to lose muscle though. I want to keep eating protein so I can keep or even increase my muscle mass while dropping 80 lbs of fat weight..
>>85861913Yeah I personally don't like calorie counting either but it's the most effective way to gain/lose weight (not counting drugs). Other than that just keep eating less and exercising.
>>85861892Go get a seasonal job delivering for amazon, don't bring food on your runs and take as many hours/shifts as you can get. I lost 80 lbs in 2 months that way back in 2019, should still work.
>>85861892>80 pounds>3500kcal per pound fat>80*3500=280 000 kcal>60 days until new year>280 000/60=4666 kcal deficit per dayNigger If you wanna be sustainable aim for like 500 kcal deficit a day, 280 000/500=560 days of wright loss
>>85861892A calorie deficit of 1100 calories will lose you 0.14kg per day. A week that is 1kg. A month that is 4kg.You don't even need to exercise. You can be totally sedentary and passively loose weight by just being in a calorie deficit. I lost 17kg in too months this year just by eating boiled eggs/salads, 1 hour/5km walk per day, light dumbbell exercises.
It took you a long time to get this fat so it will take a long time to recover
>>85861892Nigga you'd need to lose 5000kcal every day, that's training for a triathlon levels, get on ozempic, lose 500-1000 per day, and get there by next summer you fat fuck
>>85861910Even if this nigger ate nothing he would need to do daily cardio worth 2000kcal to even remotely hit that shit with his bmrThis niggers cooked
>>8586192480 pounds in 2 months is unrealistic unless you go full starvation mode. You can minimize muscle loss while losing weight but you won't lose weight that quickly. Losing on average more than a pound a day for 2 months straight will make you look sickly and probably also make you sick too. If you lost weight at that pace for 1 month and dropped to 200 and then spent the next month working to rebuild lost muscle mass, that would be a pretty significant transformation. If you drop 80 lbs in 2 months anyone who sees you will just be concerned for your wellbeing, not impressed by your results.
>>85861989Damn, cooked nigger.
>>85861924you need your muscles to procure food in a survival setting. your body doesn't just randomly cannibalize its lifelines, unless it has to. you're plump enough, muscle loss will be negligible. don't worry about it m8
>>85861892https://youtu.be/EZ22RYmXMdoidk why I'm even linking this. you won't actually do any of this let alone even finish watching it
>>85861892nigga just smoke weed with no food in the house and play vidya literally lost 50 pounds so quick i didnt even notice. how you think all those yns fit in they size 26 hedi jeans? they be playin 2k and smoking blunts as sustenance.
>>85862626>>85861987>>85861970without losing muscle! READ!
>eat once per day>make that meal something light like a soup and bread>whenever you are hungry have a cup of tea>if you are really hungry eat a bananaLive like this for 2 months and you will see a huge difference
>>85862017>>85862601>>85862621I think I'll also start lifting weights again. Since more muscle mass = higher metabolism = faster fat loss. Back in the pandemic I was locked in. Mid-2020 I started doing deadlifts, at first only being able to lift the 75 lb bar by itself, and then through weekly consistency by summer 2022 I pulled a 575 lb deadlift 1-rep max PR at 190 lbs bodyweight. If I repeat that effort I think I can get somewhere that's pretty good and favorable for getting shredded.
