When you don't know what happens after death? How could you be so sure it's oblivion?
>>85852605anything is better than here. even if its hell, one could understand that its because of sin. here, suffering rarely has any meaning
aye, there's the rub,For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come
>>85852605unless the outcome of your afterlife is determined by whether you commit suicide or not, there isn't a reason why not knowing what comes after would keep you from doing it.even if it does effect the outcome, there's no good reason to believe that over believing that suicide will actually give you a good afterlife instead
>>85852605why would there be anything for me? i am just an infinitesimally small bunch of particles that has temporarily come together due to the laws of the universe. i am nothing but a microbe of a microbe of a microbe of a microbe to whoever made the universe and designed its laws and starting conditions. my existence is an illusion
life is so devoid of meaningbut then again successful people kill themselves for basically no reason im so numb from the invega i only get depressed after a serious raw
>>85852605Bc life is long and I just drag my balls in sand can you shoot me in the back of the head pls
stay alive to find out they find a cure to aging when you're 90 and it costs ten million dollars
>stick around, just in case worse awaits youThat's just life.
im pretty sure my mind passed away long ago and now it's just my body
>>85852605oblivion is preferable to my pained and lonely existence
>>85852605>When you don't know what happens after death? Why don't you just find go find out if you care so much? Let people do what they want to do. Chances are there is nothing after death. Abrahamic religions are a bunch of hogwash.
>>85853214It's just that even in a materialistic sense, oblivion seems unlikely as well.
>>85852605Every single experience can be explained using physics as far as I read or seen. It's all connected to the brain. The senses are the mechanism by which reality is experienced and thus life. No functioning brain = no experience. It's an argument based on occams razor and everything else, while technically possible, requires additional premises and elaboration. Simply put, it's the most logically seeming possibility in my opinion.
>>85853506I also think dementia patients who lose all their personality and their sense of self as a result of brain degradation are evidence in favor of this.
>>85852605I want to kill myself even though I'm 99% sure what happens after death on account of I've seent itI also don't want to kill myself because of that.Vague posting king. Meat for men
>>85853517that can't explain terminal lucidity thoughthat's creepy asfhttps://www.youtube.com/shorts/S06SVNnfzz8
