If this motherfucker returns to WWE it'll be the death of WCW all over again
No one working for WCW killed it, you fucking retard. The TV execs did. The only one who came close was Goldberg he ran off prominent stars to WWE, (Raven, Jericho), and injured everyone in the main event scene after becoming champ. If AEW can exist with their shit ratings and zero engagement, WCW could have easily survived with the business they were doing.
WCW in 99 and 2000 is more watchable than WWE for the past 10+ years.
>>21419961>No one working for WCW killed it, you fucking retard. The TV execs did. That doesnt absolve Russo of his fucking turboshit storylines that no doubt played into viewership decline.>The only one who came close was Goldberg he ran off prominent stars to WWE, (Raven, Jericho), and injured everyone in the main event scene after becoming champ. Raven left for ECW not WWF which was nothing to do with Goldberg. Why would Goldberg want to feud with someone who was Cruiserweight and TV champ? It would have been Jericho getting rekt in 60 seconds by 1998 Goldberg. Blame Bischoff.>If AEW can exist with their shit ratings and zero engagement, WCW could have easily survived with the business they were doing. If ifs and buts were candy and nuts..WCW were never going to survive as their writer was a mong. Their presidents were Clueless, they had too many talent on "creative controlled contracts" hence the sale for pennies on the dollar
That makes me wonder how Tony would fare if he had to book with 1998 WCW's rosterCause it's no secret he prefers smaller workrate guys so he'd absolutely be trying to job Hogan and Goldberg out to cruiserweights
>>21419881He confirmed the story was all made uo
>>21420077Good luck trying to convince Hulk Hogan to put over, let alone have a competitive match with Chris Benoit or Dean Malenko
>>21419881>it'll be the death of WCW all over againBut Nash isn't booking the Fed
>>21419961>The TV execs didThey wouldn't have killed it if it were making money
>>21419881He is still ghost writing for JCW so it is only a matter of time till WWE gives him the call.
>>21420080srs always lies.
>>21419881>cropping out the bare foot
>>21420077They'd go under even quicker.
>>21419881it's happening, the Coach is in and Vince is next
>>2142007712 minute cold matches but the WHOLE SHOW now! WWF would buy them out by late 1999.
>>21420469>Coach>personalitySurely you fucking jest!?
>>21419973Make it 20
>>21420077Billy Kidman (c) vs Hollywood Hogan WCW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ELIMINATOR MATCH
>>21419881Wcw was doing the same 3m viewers before and after Russo. The merger killed it, new owners didn't want wrestling
>>21420540 they were getting between 2 to 2.8 million with a record low of 1.7 in December of 2000.
>>21421215Not to mention WCW ran off the majority of their paying audience and were losing seven figures a month. But it only got jettisoned because the big meanie head executives hated pro wrestling.
>>21419973late stage 2001 WCW is better than any e-slop shit going back to the PG switch
>>21419961>no the people in charge of the company who led it to losing millions of dollars had nothing to do with it dyingThis is such a dumb smark cope deflection. WCW was an abject failure and a massive money pit because of those running it. Just like gayew
>>21420472Not really. Ted Turner loved his good ol' southern rasslin' and if it was up to him he'd've kept pumping infinite money on it
>>21421598That's always gonna be Russofags and Bischofffags biggest cop-outThey can't accept their idols were shit bookers
>>21416528hes never coming back. he begged for a job and nick told him to fuck off
