It's all been slowly going downhill since Tam and Mayu left. Giulia and Utami taking off didn't help (although we got Utami back), and Saki Kashima retiring was the icing on the cake. Would be nice to still have Mina around as well but I always felt she was headed West sooner or later because she was a midcarder at best in Stardom.
There's a lot that I have problems with in regards to Rossy. I don't like how he's used underaged talent or how he pushes to oversexualize workers. But somehow it seemed that the company did have more heart with him at the helm instead of falling back on formulaic bangers. And that's exactly what I feel about Stardom at the moment - it's formulaic. The wrestlers are still more impressive than women you'll see anywhere else but it's like they're going through well-practiced motions rather than doing anything that's must watch.
>>
>>21419046
I stopped watching after Tam left
it had been going downhill even before she did
i miss the old days when they had pre-match promos that they subbed
i don't know why the fuck they got rid of that.
i don't want to have to go to YT and twitter to follow wtf is going on.
makes rewatching anything impossible.
you can still go back and watch old stardom and not miss anything that's going on.
>>
>>21419207
You hit the nail on the head.
When they stopped with the subtitles and all the extra stuff, that was when I stopped tuning is as much as I did. My first show was Grand Queendom 2021. I watched all throughout 2022 and 2023. It was such an easy watch compared to everything else. WWE was always hit or miss for me but usually ended up turning me off due to the sheer number of ads. AEW had shown that it wasn't going to become what everyone had hoped and was just an excuse for the worst excesses of the indy scene. New Japan was in the absolute shitter due to Covid and then Tony poaching all the talent. AJPW was a hard follow due to no English. NOAH admittedly wasn't quite on my radar. But Stardom? It was an easy watch, full of heartfelt stories between great characters and the matches were surprisingly good. The subtitles and pre-match stuff made that all possible.
It's obvious that none of that will be returning. If it weren't for the fact that I sincerely do like quite a bit of the roster still I'd probably drop but I still find it fairly easier regular watching than other companies. But it's also nowhere near as good as it was.

Put the strap on her. It's the only way to save the company.
>>
>>21419285
Shitoh? Jabs aside, I've always liked her and think she does some of the best crowd engagement in the business today. You could maybe make a case for the old school White Belt, back when it was the Story belt that represented being the heart of the company. But her in ring work really isn't up to snuff as far as putting the Red Belt on her goes.
No, before you start, I don't think Kurara was great Red Belt champion material either. But she was transitory and just giving the belt so she could Finish The Story.
>>
>>21417200
Stardom saved wrestling? I'm a fan but wouldn't go THAT far.
>>
>>21419318
I'm still pissed that AEW took New Japan's main event scene.
But you know what? I also believe that if New Japan hadn't worked with Tony and that if AEW hadn't removed very expensive workers off the payroll, New Japan probably would have gone bankrupt.
I think that was why New Japan never really had a problem with it. Survival required parting with those guys because attendance wasn't there to keep the lights on.

>Giulia and Utami taking off didn't help (although we got Utami back)
>although we got Utami back
You got the shadow of Utami who can't feud with Saya because no-one there cares about her so she's been relegated to Hanan's bag carrier

>Turkla stealing the artist belts from red hot Dream Trine
>Too many random 8 woman tags
>Botching Kurara red belt run
>Botching Utami return & Utami/Saya story
>Teasing mystery X's that turn out to be Tora
>Rian & Kikyo winning new blood tag titles and then not even teaming in the tag league
So many stupid decisions wasting a red hot run over the last 2 years
>>
>>21419373
>>Botching Utami return & Utami/Saya story
Utami should've joined HATE the moment they realised people there weren't going to buy her as a returning babyface to Saya's tweener
>>
>>21419386
She even came back wearing fucking black & red gear, she practically color coordinated
>>
>>21419395
Also, she's been a babyface since she made her debut. It's boring now.

this is only non retarded complaint
>>
>>21419954
and you kinda can argue that NB belt is not in the same league as the tag legue, but then, why would both Rian and Kikyo still be in the tag league
maybe it was Poi's (retarded) call to have a ride with Rian before retirement

Itoh wound up becoming a decent worker until she started doing American indies and realized she didn't need to do anything beyond her shtick to get over, then she got shitty and now she's regressed so much she's doing all the shit she stopped doing in like 2018. Really pathetic.
>>
>>21419373
>Teasing mystery X's that turn out to be Tora
it really dawned on me how lousy that was, did they do it since Mai left Marigold? Having it be someone who is on every show already and is also a heel is guaranteed to disappoint, it's crazier than Rossy, at least Rossy would dress them up as a different character

they stopped the pre-match promos because sonny reckoned the girls spent too long getting ready for the show (makeup, hair, etc) and it was too hard to get done. i’m glad they still do post, but the prematch interviews were very charming and i miss them terribly

Nah mate they really were. Hina was very obviously over af and people were very happy for C. All their matches got great crowd responses.

Sonny is such a lazy fucker.

You wouldn't guess it from his voice but Sonny actually served in the Marines.

Yeah i heard he was a marine along with that Kris Wolf got him his job.

How long until Cyberfight sells NJPW and Stardom to Tony or WWE? They clearly regret buying 2 sinking ships

Attendance is up 10% from last year and it's the second biggest wrestling company in Japan. Given this was a smaller PPV, I don't think I'd start singing the funeral dirges yet.
>>
>>21422301
they didn't buy either of those companies though, larper
>>
>>21422932
>PPV
wait people paid for this?
>>
>>21422999
Yup, fraid so.
It was a shit card. The only match worth a damn was Suzu Suzuki vs Starlight Kid, which has a pretty predictable outcome. The only other reason to purchase it was if someone really wanted to see Poi team up with Shingo against Yuna Mizumori and Hiroki Goto (why? who tf knows).
Can't say I was particularly enticed to watch, and it doesn't seem to many others were either. Don't know what they were thinking, seems like it was just a PPV for the sake of having a PPV.

I don't know why we're consolewarring joshi show attendance.
If you're anti-joshi, you're just punching way down.
If you're pro-joshi, by making fun of the biggest joshi company you're just making joshi look lamer than people who aren't familiar with it already assume it to be. You're not helping your favorite fed in any way, shape, or form.

People are sick of the fat hambeasts being shoved down our throats.

I don't know why they put the Red Belt on that hog.
couldn't have given Poi a run with it before she retired, Maki Itoh, or just back on Saya again.
>>
>>21423282
There's a known schizo who made an account on X just to post clips of trainees in smaller companies botching. He also literally headcounts attendance in non-Stardom promotions.
You have no idea of the autism.
