>>545296097I wouldn't call them bugs, they are crustaceans and only some are consumed, land bugs are much smaller and are very different than ocean dwelling arthropods, they are seperated by millions of years of divergent evolution meaning they are quite different, but nothing you say will make eating land dwelling insects an attractive prospect when we are hardwired through evolution to reject land dwelling insects as food, though this can be over ridden in times of extreme starvation as a temporary food source rather than dying, it would be much more advantageous to catch a bug and then use that bug to catch a fish or a crab.

Also many households that are not connected to the sewage system have septic tanks that they deliberately built with open bottom so that sewage seeps underground and than mixes with the ground water that seeps in to the sea so that they don't have to pay for a pump truck several times per year.
