Even if the>AI Bubblebursts, you all know that doesn't mean that we are suddenly going to pre-AI world for good or ill, right?
>>545270842Is this “AI” in the room with us right now, anon?
AI bubble is an IQ test.
>>545270842what a retarded graph, the "AI" has been used since the 90s
AI will still be used, and the infastructure will still exist. Just like the internet bubble. It is just that the people who invested in it, will lose now as AI is not as profitable.Local LLMs "good enough" and better versions will be used instead of outsourcing compute to these big companies with their datacenters.
Doesn't matter, it isn't that good. They can't even get Agents right let alone actual autonomous workers. It will still be around as a tool to do bitch work like write code and make powerpoint presentations, but the fundamental statistical nature renders it impossible to succeed. Even an agent that achieves 99% probability per step, it will only succeed 36% of the time across a 100 step job.The only interesting products to come out have been the original chatbots which are nice for getting shitty summaries and indulging in delusions, legitimately useful coding assistants that are still too dumb to write complicated applications, and now META's Muse which is just a travel assistance and still fucks up sometimes. No firms have appeared and disrupted the market by using AI, no widespread enterprise adoption of autonomous work has occurred, and they still can't even figure out self driving. The methodology is fundamentally flawed and does not mimic actual human intelligence.
Trump is right to try to rebrand. "AI" is absolutely a misnomer and probably constitutes false advertisement, something I'm sure investors will be looking at bribing judges into interpreting at the very least. People have an idea already about what AI is because it existed as a concept before anyone ever tried to make it real. The things we have now are quite obviously not AI. I try to refer to these tools always as Large Language Models (LLMs) to make the distinction between them in reality and the sci-fi concept of AI that probably won't ever exist anyway.
>>545270842This graphic makes no sense. The lines use completely different measurements that are in no way comparable>railway miles per 1000 people>steel per employee>telephone lines per household>...
